The State of Jakku

Hello, Forum. I've been rolling around an idea for another character that involves the Disney canon planet Jakku. I've seen it mentioned some in the Roleplays, but I cannot find it on the Galactic Map. I don't know if it is owned by particular faction or not. Or if it shares a similar history as its canon counterpart as being a place where groups come and take downed ships from an old battle between the Palpatine Empire and the New Republic.

Any answer is welcome.

Jakku is located in the Inner Rim, in an area known as the Western Reaches, all according to Wookipedia.

This map puts it in the light blue southern region, somewhere to the west of Yag'Dhul and Thyferra. On our map that's out in empty space. No one owns it. And that last ones that did were the Omegan's. Of course this world didn't "exist" then. So it's fair to say there has been little influence to the world past the Site Events like Netherworld.

If you want the planet on the map, all you have to do is sub it in the Planet section of The Codex. I don't know the nuisances of putting a cannon planet in a hex space with more than 3 or more worlds in it. Staff are likely to play nice nice about it though. Just be wary because this is a new world the new Star Wars movies may yet explore more of. So cannon can change things.

It's not really if it's on the map or not. I just wanted to know if there were any major factions there so I were to make a Jakkuite (still trying to find a good denonym for that), I could react to the presence properly.

To add a planet to the map you request the addition here, the codex does not have anything to do with adding planets beyond custom worlds, which must be approved to be added to the map. You do not need to submit a canon planet to the codex in order to add it to the map. Nor does it need to be on the map to be role-played on.
