The state of the Empire [poll]

Ok so as some of you may know the Galactic Republic has hit some hard times. Now as a subfaction of the Galactic Republic we need to decide as a faction how we are going to respond.


The choices are simple.


1.

We support the Republic and the ideals it stands for. We actively engage the Clone Army and attempt to remove the Prime Minister turned Dictator from power. In doing so we solidify ourselves as loyal members of the Republic.


2.

We seize the opportunity and support the Prime Minister forging a new and more Imperial Government. One that as Imperials ourselves we can all enjoy. The down side is if/when this rebellion is put down we risk being branded criminals or even terrorists by the Republic.


3.

We abandon ship and don't get involved at all. We support our own agenda and initiatives while we secretly extend an olive branch to any and all refugees displaced by the actions of the Prime Minister and subsequent rebellion




We encourage everyone to voice an opinion on this development and are looking at setting up a few IC threads to fit what the majority wants to see happen.

Slowly getting back on here and wow what a crazy turn of events on the galactic stage!

Option 1 and kinda 3 combined!!?! But the vote goes for 1

ARGUMENT:

• Allows us a much more reasonable chance to IC to grow and develop within a a stronger entity and perhaps later on come to influence the Republic and supplant it once more as the ruling the government.
• While very much against the ideals of the original GE if we take the route of option 2 we'll end finding ourselves essentially cut off from a variety of options every thing from corporate enterprises and political junctions that in the long term could turn in our favor.
• A weakened Republic allows for the wolves that the One Sith are unchecked and can obtain territories left weakened by this civil war. Our primary enemy would become far more powerful. Yes we ultimately in the long IC want to remove the republic and all other governments from being pretenders to galactic hegemony but first we need to take the necessary steps to do so!
• Use hospital ships to aid war torn planets.
• Possibly influence the Loyalists to allow temporary emergency powers for border regions with the OS giving more authority to militarists in the Republic who ideally could be swayed into joining the GE's agenda in the long term. Or military governorship for a few our people to obtain pseudo territorial gains inside the GR.

ACTIONS: Politically and Militarily speaking this provides an opportunity to step up our efforts at building a strong public image.

• We can aid the Republic by providing external security against the OS and other would be opportunists. This means actively participating in skirmishes, invasions, and faction related threads of defense and offense against foreign entities.
• We use this chance to obtain the means, technologies, and resources from the ruins of republic installations to further advance ourselves.
• Going Major has been a challenge for this faction. By removing ourselves IC from the GR as a subfaction and OOC we lose out on the ability to use a lot of our big toys.

Lastly I would like to see if we can acquire our own clones for future use militarily... Mwuahahaaha!
