It had been many years since a student had stepped foot upon the Graywall's grounds. Once, it had been a center of learning for the Jedi Order. Eventually it had evolved into a family home, but its legacy remained. The force thrummed through every atom of the ancient castle, its presence a constant and comforting thing for those attuned to it. It was, above all else, the perfect place for a young Jedi Padawan to begin his journey into a much larger world.
So it was that Cedric stood in the center of the courtyard, his arms folded behind the small of his back. He was clad in the dark robes of an Essonian Jedi Knight, and his lightsaber hung freely from his hip. For once, his scarred visage was not hidden by his late father's helmet.
"The boy is my cousin," Cedric mused, "Though I only ever met him when he was a small boy. He's a teenager now, and his mother has trusted me with his training and safety," the knight's brow furrowed. "I've never taken on a full time student before. I'm going to need your help."
Cedric cast his gaze down to R3-F3. The little astromech had become something of a near constant companion for Cedric, though this was the first time he'd ever elected to confide his personal feeling to the droid.
The sound of engines roared overhead. Cedric looked up, and found himself cracking a thin smile as the transport shuttle settled down on the landing pad. "That'll be him. Ready to say hello?"
