STANDARD FEATURES
- Rooms:
- Cargo Hold & Workshop: The cargo hold, entered through the ship's ramp. This is the first room visitors will see boarding the ship. The walls have been painted, repainted, and graffitied so many times, and never have been properly repainted as a clean slate. Years of art, designs, and little memento's are on those walls, and they all tell stories and contain histories. The cargo hold itself tends to be quite messy, mostly containing bulk equipment, scrap metal, imported goods, and odds and ends. There is a built in workshop to the room's left. What was once a durasteel desk and some storage compartments slapped into the corner has grown into a considerable tinkering, engineering, and repairs station. Unfortunately, there is no forge included. The workshop shows signs of that "It's my mess" organization style. Some things seem thrown into place, others crammed into drawers; but the ship's owner always seems to remember where everything is.
- Medical Wing: The Medical Wing, one of the first big addons in the ship's history, is located where the Data Vault used to be. it is dedicated to quick checks up, first aid, and emergency operations and bacta baths. It still is not comparable to a dedicated medical bay or hospital, but lives still have been saved in this room. This is one of the rooms less touched by the owner' spray paint obsession.
- Scanner Room: The Scanner Room is an engineer and slicer's paradise! Full of the latest computer, scanning, slicing, and hacking systems; as well as advanced holotech and technology, this commonly takes on the role of a debriefing room, hacker's cave, or second workshop for the ship's owner. This is another room not as cluttered with wall art and interior wall decorating.
- Recreation Room & Kitchen: The recreational room and kitchen are divided by a counter, with the recreation room taking up a bulk of the space. The walls are almost as cluttered and painted as the cargo hold, though one wall has been completely repainted with a clean, white wall. Said wall is the smallest wall in the room, however. The recreation room has a holodesk, holotable, various shelves and displays, and a long, beat up couch with as much history as the walls in it. Unfortunately, this couch seems to emit a faint oil and "grandma's perfume: type order that air sprays are less and less effective at tackling. This room is obviously decades old. Despite its age, this is a comfortable and well kempt room that is tidy, organized, and relaxing (once an immunity from the couch's smell develops.)
- Mini-Refresher: There is a small, added in refresher with one toilet and sink. The refresher is enough to fit one person in its small space and is noticeably newer and less graffitied on than the outside halls. It at least has proper, running water.
- Personal Quarters & Mini-Refresher: The personal quarters is split between two seconds, with the sections separated by a sort of refresher with a shower and sink. The most personalizied room in the entire ship, the walls are graffitied, painted on, and modified beyond belief. There are numerous shelves and displays, as well as a small desk. There is a large weapons and armor display in this room, where most of the beds would be. There is one bed in this entire room, which has personal sheets and pillows.
- Cockpit: The cockpit has "cleaner" looking walls than most of the ship, maintaining a "professional" appearance. The cockpit's technology is all up to date, well cared for, and properly organized. This is a top notch head of operations ran by a brilliant pilot and engineer. The cockpit is detachable from the rest of the ship.

STRENGTHS
- Powerhouse: Fast, agile, well defended, and built to endure - The Tauntaun is a powerhouse of a ship; strong as an entire fleet of starfighters. It is also modified with a diversity of offensive and defensive tools, weapons, and equipment that makes it more than capable of handling the haziest of sky fights.
- Signature: Unique and heavily customized, the Tauntaun is noticable in a hanger bay full of ships as a ship with special care taken for it. Furthermore, people who know its owner - friend or foe - can pinpoint the personal ship of its owner at a single glance.
- Cloaking: The Tauntaun has a cloaking device, allowing for individual ship stealth and sneakiness.
WEAKNESSES
- Lone Wolf: The Tauntaun has no squadron. The Tauntaun needs no squadron... Built as a lone wolf, the Mercury-Class cruiser that has become the Tauntaun is an awkward fit for a fleet and has no squadron at all.
- Signature: Unique and heavily customized, the Tauntaun is noticable in a hanger bay full of ships as a ship with special care taken for it. Furthermore, people who know its owner - friend or foe - can pinpoint the personal ship of its owner at a single glance. Furthermore, criminal types may see the ship and greedily try to steal it for their own given the chance. It is a very nice looking ship, after all...
- Storage: Even the stock ship has little cargo room compared to other light freighters. The Tauntaun, heavily modified, with rooms updated and new rooms added in, can hardly hold the amount of cargo most freighters can.
- Complicated: A modified, personal ship reforged by a Force Sensitive genius, this is an advanced and complex ship that other users could find difficult to repair and tinker with without something going wrong. It takes a technological wizard to get this ship's systems right quickly, and to navigate its various features with accuracy.
DESCRIPTION
Vanilla Description
The archetypical Erakhian light freighter, the Mercury-class' predecessor was originally commissioned as a covert data courier by the Federal Intelligence Bureau and used to shuttle sensitive information between various blacksites in the Unknown Regions. In time, the design was reenvisioned as a more run-of-the-mill courier-cum-freighter, with the only remnants of the original design's stealth functions being a basic ECM suite, hardly enough to trick anything but the most basic of active scans.
Officially, of course, the Mercury-class was designed from the ground up, and no record of FIB's stealth courier has ever reached the public - if it still operates beyond the purview of Arctrus, then the presence of near-identical light freighters can surely only add to its secrecy.
Whatever the case, the Mercury-class remains a capable vessel in either its original capacity as a data courier or in the more commonplace role of a light freighter, though its sleek design and carefully honed systems does make it somewhat more expensive than many others on the market.
First acquired when Gwyneira Craft was but a ragtag civilian running away from war; the Tauntaun is a decades old light freighter with a storied history. Numerous addons, projects, revamps, and upgrades were poured into this ship as Gwyneira Krayt's lifelong passion project. A secondary home, if not her true home; this ship has seen everything from Gwyn's falling in love to her raising children. As an upgraded ship, this is a powerhouse of a ship. While technically not a warship or starfighter, the Tauntaun is more than capable of starting and finishing star fights. Advanced, complex, and holding years of experience under its belt - The Tauntaun is a signature, unique, and legendary ship to be seen flying through the skies.
