The Templar Order

TemplarHeraldry1_zpsrcs35ond.png
"There is no Chaos, there is Order."
Chaos continues to envelope the Galaxy as countless worlds are conquered and abandoned by their defenders.
The One Sith strangle the Core Worlds with their hold, while the Republic, ailing in its state is powerless to stop even their own bureaucrats from seizing power in their own name. The Jedi Order has abandoned the people, once Guardians, they are fractured into a multitude of various sects each with their own beliefs and goals at mind.
The fringes of the galaxy are not left untouched as the Mandalorians hold the line against the Primeval, all the while those such as the Hutts and Techno Union rise up in the name of wealth and not the common people.
Thus it falls to those few that see the Chaos as the problem, and choose to rise in the name of Order, to protect those who have been left defenseless in the wake of the Jedi abdicating their duties as Guardians.
Across the void, the Templar Order calls to those who seek to aid their fellow being and to bring Order back to a Galaxy gripped by Chaos.
They view that Force Users are dangerous, and it is those ancient Orders of the Sith and Jedi who have caused the most damage, while breeding the ideals and seeding the spawn that give rise to those that claim to be their offshoots.
There is no Chaos, there is Order.

What shall you do with those Force Users that purposefully seclude themselves, or those that are nothing more than scholars? What about those that do not even know they can use it? There are many moral questions to be accounted for, ICly. OOCly, I wish you luck in hunting this Warlock Scholar.

Those Force Users that do seclude themselves, while being few and far between, would more than likely be watched or at least have a sort of quarantine placed upon the world that they take residence upon.
In regards to those that do not know that they have a connection to the Force or can use it, there are means to determine as such. While the Templar Order is still focused primarily on those of the Jedi and Sith Orders, those stand alone Force Users would be watched, and just as likely contained to essentially what would amount as a prison world.
I would also find it very helpful if people stopped wishing me luck. I understand the good intentions behind such a gesture, yet I've always found it to be more demeaning than helpful due to the implications that can be gleamed from such phrasing.

This is the alt I was thinking, since I haven't written them in forever. That is, if the Templar Order is in need of folks that have more underground connections. And if you're ever feeling up for coming after Keira, I'd be game.

The Templar Order is open to any whom are not Force Users.
Having members that do have underground connections would be helpful and conducive to the work of the Keepers, the branch of the Order that secures Force artifacts for study and essentially reenacting the ending of the Indiana Jones films.

The Templar Order itself is not into assassination attempts (at least publicly). That is left to the domain of the Seeker Branch and if an individual is deemed a dangerous enough threat to require removal. If there are those who do join and become Seekers, I would have no problem forwarding the idea to those individuals.

I apologize, in a half sleep deprived daze, it appears that I skipped over your comment.
It is neat isn't it? It takes its inspiration from a myriad of sources on the Templars, from the historical Knights Templar (and what little information there is on the order), with additional input from the Templar Order of the Dragon Age series and the Assassin's Creed series.

The Historical Knights Templar form the large foundation of the Templar Order as a whole, with elements filling in additional slots (such as the Hospitallers, which were rivals to the Knights Templar).
All in all, it is a unique organization, and one that I hope to see become very active on the site.

I would like to invite those whom may have questions, comments, or concerns about the Templar Order to bring them forward. Linked above is the Q&A thread which answers a few basic questions and remains open for additional questions that may require clarification or expansion.
Likewise we've the information thread, the primary write up on the Templar Order to provide the bulk of useful information.

Then if you like what you see already, we've provided the link to join the Order.
I hope to see many new comers join the Order in the coming days and help the faction grow.

You do not need to hate Force Users. The core tenants remain that it is the Order's belief that all Force Users are dangerous. Hate has nothing to do with it, though there would likely be some members whom do hate all FUs.

Oops sorry, I was skimming and misinterperated it. To rephrase my question, how important is it for the members to believe that FUs are dangerous? Sofia feels that the Sith are dangerous but don't feel the same way about the Jedi. I'm curious as to how she would fit in in the Templar Order because of that.

The primary tenant is that all Force Users are dangerous, and it is an important belief held by the Order. They believe that the Sith are dangerous because of their actions, while they hold the Jedi as dangerous because of their inaction and their fractured state and presence of multiple sects.

In regards to how she would fit in, I would see a problem with how she views the Jedi as being less dangerous. It may be a view shared by others as well, even with the overall tone being that all Force Users are dangerous.
