The Temple on Kashyyyk

Sefain Gatholil

Knight of the Silver Jedi Order

Sefain stood on one of the many balconies of the temple, admiring the surrounding jungle. It was incredibly different from the temple on Voss, which wasn't inherently bad, but Sefain didn't quite like it. She supposed that she just preferred Voss' landscape; one with rolling hills that burst into snow-capped mountains, with trees always radiant with the planet's golden sunlight.

A noise came from behind her, interrupting her train of thought, and she turned to greet the Jedi who now stood behind her.

Kashyyyk was a change of scenery from Voss, and Jon adored it. Sure, there was always something to be said about soaring mountains and open plains, but the dense forests and jungles of Kashyyyk excited him much more. Just the thought of all the secrets and relics that were just waiting to be discovered in Kashyyyk made his mind whirl with possibilities. What lies at the base of the soaring trees, the behemoths of wood and bark? Just the speculation made Jon incredibly excited.

Pacing through the temple, his forest-green robes swirling as he walked, Jon let out a deep sigh as he stepped out onto a balcony, and gave out a sharp exhale as he saw that he wasn't the only person on it. A brown-robed Jedi turned, and Jon smiled as he saw her face. "Master Gaboli, I believe?" Jon couldn't quite place her face, but he recognized her from the various Counslar gatherings that the Order hosted. Throwing out a name that sounded right, Jon only hoped that he was right, or at least came close to hitting the mark.

Sefain turned and found herself staring into the eyes of another Jedi. He was about the same height as her, and he was well built. His robes were dirty, and rather ripped, but the lightsaber that hung at his side was in pristine condition.

"Master Gaboli, I believe?"

"Gatholil," Sefain replied, quite amused at the green-robed Jedi's attempt. "and you are? I don't believe I've spoken to you outside of a council meeting."

To be honest, Sefain wasn't even sure if she'd spoken to him at all. She had certainly seen him around the temple, and she was fairly sure he was a Consular as well; she'd be surprised if he was anything else given the amount of time he spent in the research sectors of the base. However, what he did specifically was a mystery to her.

Jon gave a grimace when the Jedi responded with a different last name than the one Jon supplied. It wasn't really his fault, there were more than Jedi than he could count, especially in the Order, but it was still a bit embarrassing. Jon grinned, and let out a short chuckle. "I was close, gotta give me some points there." Jon gave a curt bow as the Jedi responded with her name. "Pleasure to meet you Master Gatholi."

Jon moved to stand next to Sefain, gazing out at the lush forest ever so briefly before looking back at her. "Jon Lekka. I'm not around the Order that often, so I can understand why you wouldn't know me all too well." Jon wasn't all too well known within the Order, something of an outsider. He pinned it on the fact that he was off exploring and unearthing relics for the Order, not on his tendencies to be an introvert.

"Interesting." Sefain thought to herself. This Jon Lekka character was starting to intrigue her. Of course, Sefain was intrigued by almost everything that moved, but that hardly mattered. Usually, Jedi Knights stayed near the Order's base world. In fact, Sefain rarely left the temple grounds, and when she did, it was never for very long.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your role in the order?"

Jon gave a short smile. "I'm something of an archaeologist and an explorer. My job is collecting relics that are relevant to the Order. Usually." Jon knew that his response would probably catch the Jedi opposite him off guard. Most Jedi stayed within the confines of the Order's borders, doing humanitarian work or helping to police the system. Only recently has the Order really begun to operate militarily with the Galactic Alliance, so to find a Jedi who spent most of his time away from Kashyyyk and from the front was almost a rarity.
