The terentatek preys on Jedi. Too bad, we ain't Jedi. [Darth Ferus]

The underlevels of Kashyyk were only for the fittest, the lower you go, the more deadly it becomes. The corpse of the Jedi that lied on the ground was the symbol of a man who found out the hard way, paying the price with his life. A terrible scratch marked his torso while his face was half there and half not. It was an obnoxious image but Alexei had gotten used to it due to being in war numerous times. Yet, the atmosphere around was definitely uneasy, it was always a slight surprise to see what nature could do to one, often better than man-made weapons could.

His helmet showed him a slight heat signature being emitted from the corpse of the Jedi but Alexei still touched the man's chest to feel the warmth, a habit one acquired over a long life of being a hunter and a sniper on all sorts of battlefields. The marksman looked straight ahead, the forest was getting thinner probably hinting of a nearby cave. Possibly where the beast had taken the lower half of the Jedi to feast upon.

Alexei stood up and looked around, his body language implying he was waiting for someone - Darth Ferus. Even his state of the art technology that the sniper possessed was not good enough to find a man using the Force to conceal himself. Alexei believed the Sith Lord was somewhere behind as the latter usually ventured on his own and appeared out of nowhere to meet the sniper. Makarov did not know the reason for the Sith Lord's disappearances and not staying constantly with Alexei as they proceeded to hunt for the terentatek but it would be unwise to question a Sith's motives in your head even more foolish and deadly to question a Sith Lord's motives loudly.

Kashyyk. Once upon a time Ferus had come here with the single intention on killing all of the wookies. A genocide of their people to create another basin, one far larger than his first. And with all this lumber and life nearby? He could have made one of the most productive alchemy projects a reality. But he didn't. There was no chance to. But now, now he was back for another completely different reason. [member="Alexei Makarov"] was an up and coming sniper, one who worked with the Sith Assassins. And while no one outside of the organization could know, Darth Ferus wasn't just going to let such a proven member go without any gifts.

Calmly he would walk up beside the man. There were no tricks, no stealth. In fact, Ferus knew little to nothing about those sort of skills. He was a warrior, who liked using simple tricks such as moving with shadows and fear to unsettle his targets and kill them. It worked rather well for the most part, and even to the point people thought it was force techniques. It wasn't at the end of the day.

"You've tracked it to it's nest then? Good. Such a small area will make the kill easier. Do you have anything to add? And yes, you're free to speak your mind. I'm not like other Sith, I don't harm my soldiers for speaking up, no matter what it may be about."

Well, this time Darth Ferus had been more kind on the sniper and had been recognized by his helmet's sensors as soon as he came up in their range. ((OOC: Scary mofo >.>))
The tall and slender figure of the Sith Lord seemed in an intimidating synchronization with the dark under levels of Kashyyk and their dreadful atmosphere.
More or less, to Alexei, Ferus looked as if he was at home.

The marksman nodded to the Sith Lord and gestured to the corpse of the Jedi, the corpse's lightsaber hilt lying next to the man's missing right arm. Ironically, it seemed as the only piece of this man in a normal condition. Alexei took the hilt and handed it towards the Sith Lord while responding to his initial question:

"It's a recent one, high possibility is that the beast is still feasting upon it and enjoying itself. It may very well be a perfect opportunity to slay it." Alexei stated. "If it comes to more closer combat, I'd suggest if you 'tank' it. I have the means to penetrate its thick skin." He pointed a this 12.7mm BANG slugs by Browncoat Arms, designated to penetrate armor. In addition with the Verpine Sniper Rifle's lethal capabilities, it was a deadly combination.

This was Alexei's suggestion for an action plan if the Sith Lord had a different approach, the marksman would gladly comply. If not, they would both head towards the cave where presumably the beast was located.

Time to hunt...

[member="Alexei Makarov"] would get a nod from the Sith Lord as a gloved hand reached out to take the lightsaber. Averagely made, nothing special. Typical Jedi. The hilt began to fall apart in his grasp, from a bit of a force application. A mockery of a weapon shouldn't be allowed to exist after all. Red eyes eyed the mans equipment, and a smile was offered. Fairly good guns, that's for sure. Enough to blast a hole in the side of practically anything. And hopefully this Tarentatek was no different.

Just in case though, he brought a little gun of his own.

The 'little gun' he had was pulled out, resting in his hand as he looked over the actually large revolver. "If needed, I can actually shoot the damn thing myself. You ready for this? The thing is a monster after all, and where to shoot it won't be too clear. Understand?"

Alexei, the mastefully cold and composed soldier that he was, did not flinch before the Sith Lord's application of the Force. Being part of the Sith Assassins had him often in contact with force users, he had gotten used to the Force's powers. The marksman knew well the difference between a Sith and a Jedi, the former walked the walk and the latter talked the talk and that was the reason the marksman had been a loyal subject and strong supporter of the One Sith. They did things.

When the Sith Lord revealed a revolver in his hands which surprised the sniper, along with Darth Ferus explaining that he was capable of using it against the beast. Alexei did not expect a Sith Lord wielding a gun, it looked quite odd to him. He had only seen them wield those lightsabers with lethal capability and ranged weapons looked awkward in the hands of a Sith.

"Understood." Alexei nodded and locked and loaded his sniper rifle with the necessary slugs. He turned his back to Darth Ferus and proceeded forward towards a slight clearing amongst the woods where, as suggested, an opening to a cave stood wide open. A gaping pit of darkness.

The marksman moved as silently as possible to the left side of the cave, further from view if anything was around the cave's opening. Alexei did not know the depth of the cave nor his heat sensors were close enough to detect any sort of heat, his eyes could not see into the darkness of the cave but there was a large possibility anything inside the cave might see Ferus or even the sniper, despite his camouphlage he did not know what vision did that dreadful beast have. Suddenly, he halted. A large reading of heat.

"I am registering a large signature of heat just a dozen feet into the cave and the lack of smoke indicates it is not fire." Alexei stated to the Sith Lord. He did not know much more about the beast's capabilities. "I do not know the monster's senses and their sharpness. Generally, I could get close enough with my camouphlage for a clear shot. Especially, since it looks static." The sniper looked at the Sith Lord and awaited his judgement call.

"They don't so much have sharpness as an overwhelming urge to devour force users. Jedi and Sith alike." The click of a hammer being pulled back sounded off as the Sith Lord pulled up his revolver. While not common for Sith, Ferus had learned to adapt to more specific challenges. Like heavily armored foes, or big monsters. In a single hand he leveled it to where he assumed the beasts head would appear.

The first step echoed throughout the cavern. Well, the beast seemed to have finally noticed the Sith's oppressive signature. "It'll be hunting me for the most part. Your job is to find a weak point and kill it. Probably it's head, or maybe it's heart. Thing is, I don't know a lot about their anatomy. So learn fast." There was another echo of a step, followed by a deep low growl. A frown slowly formed on the Sith's lips as he raised the large gun much higher than where he had it. "Learn really, really fast. This is a big one."

Alexei nodded to the Sith Lord's instructions and the information tha man knew. It would be valuable, especially when it meant that the Sith Lord was to be the beast's prime target. It would give the sniper the much necessary isolation to focus on his shots. Small beast or big beast, Makarov had grown up hunting creatures in his homeworld of Panatha. Hopefully, this would be no different.

But it was.

Approximetely 3 meters tall, large, spikes on its back. It is what nightmares are made of. Its eyes seemed to be penetrating Ferus, as the man predicted. Screw the focused shot, this had to go down quickly.

Raising his verpine sniper rifle, his scope immediately fell upon the creature's large head. Pulling the trigger, it struck home but it only lead to the obnoxious beast to let out a roar and begin its charge towards the Sith Lord. Well, that pissed him off.

Analysing more the situation, Alexei aimed at the moving legs of the beast. They looked weaker compared to the bulky torso and head it had. The first shot missed, the second did not. The result - an ensared for just two seconds beasts raging even more. It did not seem to calculate that the one firing this annoying shots was a sniper camouphlaged thanks to his suit.

All of its focus was on Darth Ferus. He was the designated meal for the terentatek tonight.

If not for the hood, and the lack of force sensitivity [member="Alexei Makarov"] had, the fear of the Sith Lord as the giant monstrosity came towards him. Sweat dripped down his brow as he kept his gun level. Shot after shot rang out, filling the air as the massive shots drowned out all but the roar of the beast. It continued to charge, even as the shots hit it, and for a moment Ferus was going to run. But as the shot ripped through it's leg and crippled it, a flash of a worried smile formed on his lips.

Well, there's something good.

"Shoot out it's other leg! If you do that, we can bring it down."
