The Terminus Facility (Campaign Idea/Recruitment)

I’ve been considering this for a while, and now the staff run event has finished, and the next event is still a ways off, this seems like a good time.

Basically, this will be an opportunity for some grand conflict to be played out in a way which benefits everyone who gets involved.

My outline is to have 3 threads all based around a single setting.

• A giant fleeting battle.
• A full scale land battle such as that seen in Attack of the Clones
• A more PVP battle where each side attempts to infiltrate and steal secrets.

This should give every character a chance to shine.

Factions will be competing with each other (forming and breaking alliances if they wish) and against an NPC enemy who protects the facility. The plan is to have one writer control the NPC force in each thread, I will handle the fleeting, and I invite two other writers (whom I will confirm) to handle the other two.

The story is that when the Clone Wars ended there were so many droids, so many Confederate outposts and facilities that not all were necessarily recovered. This one, the Terminus Facility, went into standby mode, but if threatened may again arise to fight new invaders.
News of the facility has reached the galaxy from a distress signal from an off course merchant ship then attacked by ancient droid ships.

More story will come out once I know I have interest.

Naturally there will be rich rewards for those factions who succeed in defeating their opponents in any of the battles.
There will also be special rewards to be determined on a character level.
One reward I will specify will actually be the second best you can get in each thread is the ‘fair play’ award, decided by myself and my fellow two NPC controllers. So even if you don’t win you can get something good from it if you play fair!

I want this to be an epic battle, and because it’s not an invasion I’m hoping there is less rancour and backbiting…or at least OOC stuff.

As far as I can determine it, breaking the current factions into two categories will produce the following split:
Team1:
Lords of the Fringe
One Sith
ACA
Primeval

Team 2:
Republic
Mandalorians
Protectorate
Silver Jedi
Levantine Sanctum
Red Ravens (because of their Sith feud)
Rebel Alliance

Such a grouping is just for convenience though, and each faction will be able to make or break alliances during this struggle.

So, use the voting buttons to register your interest for the threads. You can participate in any number of threads, but only as one character per thread.

No but seriously i want to do a ground battle. I want my character to mire in the trenches and be sad, covered in mud and poop, just be miserable. Also I like beating people up.

Or perhaps the Rebels do now they own Geonosis.

Might I suggest for organizational convenience that the areas of conflict be split into theatres? I understand that hyperspace travel isn't--relatively speaking--an obstacle but logistically it'd be silly for say a Primeval Fleet to jump back and forth between ACA and our space.

The location for this will be on the edge of the galaxy. I don't think it will cause much concern if we assume all the faction fleets can reach there. After all, they have allies who can allow them safe passage and so on.

Only major faction fleets can take part, but you're welcome to join your ships to someone.

You got yourself the Silver Cross as those that need to be pulled off the Ground battle, as she really not one to battle, but I sure her other half will make sure she stays safe while she does her duty to all living being that needed to be treated for wounds from the battle field.
