The thrill of the hunt

Vanqor, deserts filled the planet with nothing but gundarks, a perfect place to hunt game. In hopes of gaining the rough skin of a gundark, multiple heads, and teeth. The Hunter decided to travel to vanqor, it may be illegal to hunt game like this, but boy did it make money. The merchant could sell to collectors, and experienced survivalists wishing to have a way of unsurprising warmth from a gundark's skin. For a week the sniper had been tracking the largest gundark he had ever seen, standing around three meters tall. It's tracks scattered across the desert, the wind had blown twice, but even then, the skilled hunter was able to stalk it's prey. The rigid parts of the desert gave away former prints in the ground, Veliz was gaining on his catch. But, the mandalorian had to be weary, while he was crouched quite, in the vast, desolate, desert, thoughts came to play. What if other scientist's had heard of this creature? What if enforcers where out and about? Hopefully this was not the case, it would be rather disappointing for someone to interfere on such a prize as this.

Gundarks?

Why Gundarks?

Jathin gave a sigh from behind his mask, which covered a portion of his face and was designed to filter out those thin particles on polluted desert planets like this. Unfortunately one of the bosses had decided they wanted another Gundark head mounted on their wall and Jathin had been the unlucky enforcer who'd happened to be standing closest to said boss at said time. So naturally he was playing errand boy, though he didn't really complain, given the ridiculous payment that would of course follow. He'd just rather be killing a person than an animal that was about to walk into his mines. His heavy calibered bolt action slugthrower sat in his arms as he waited for the inevitable arrival of a creature. The waiting had to be the most annoying parts of gigs like this.

Especially on shit hole worlds.

The lean, strong, and mean Fett continued to follow the huge beast, but it seemed he had competition. Something the hunter could not deal with, especially with the option ,to finally raise enough money, to finally gain his farm back. A sniper spotted a sloppy waiter, with decent deception for only amateurs, after hunting for so long. The survivalist could almost spot anything hiding, his DX-15 sniper blaster rifle, was placed on his back, as he slowly , gracefully , and silently approached his opponents position from behind, the stealth was of a hunters. Pure silence, his Beskar knife was drawn, Veliz did not intend on killing the adversary behind him, but if he did not leave. It would not be pretty, for a week the hunter had been tracking this creature, due to the fact that for some reason it had not returned home for some time. His prize would not be robbed by someone who mocks the thrill of the hunt, it would be for about two hours until the beast came. Plenty of time for the Fett to make things clear.

(OCC: he is not compltley behind you yet, there is a ten minute window before he gets to you. Take in note he is in camo, meaning if one turns around to look for him. He could stand still, being unseen by the naked eye.)@Jathin Fallin

Being that Jathin's unseen opponent was a ten minute sneak behind him and had gotten the drop on Jathin without his knowledge, there was no way Jathin could know that he was being stalked. It was something he hadn't really thought of considering the abundance of Gundark targets roaming around the desolate world. So for the moment the enforcer simply watched the clearing through his rifle's scope, waiting for that moment when the target would fall into his trap.

It reminded him of something he hadn't thought of in a while, that group. That band of crazed warriors utterly devoted to one another. There was a rumor that one could be loyal to others and them simultaneously without consequence so long as the interests didn't overlap. The idea appealed to him, a sort of redemption for the betrayal he'd been forced to enact to survive in his teens. It still stung him. Despite all he'd done that still was the one thing that flared in his mind in certain calmer moments such as those.

After finally approach, the mandalorian put his knife on the back of his neck. If his target even moved an inch he would die, " What are you doing here? This is the lair of an extremely rare gundark. " . There was a pause before speaking again, " I have been hunting this beast for a week! Following the tracks that will soon lead here.". His voice was silent, like a ghost, the mandalorian knew the beast would be here soon, his adversary could tell the hunter was wearing a helmet of some sort. Due to his voice sounding extremely low, even for a man such as himself, the helmet's speakers added to his intimidation. There was silence, long silence, for most, this made the situation even more uncomfortable. But, the merchant preferred silence out in the wilderness , it is what kept him calm, unlike most individual's who hated this anticipation, who grew scared from it. The lone sniper, would be silent, waiting for his competition to speak, hopefully he would ask for a deal. If not, the marksmen would become more brutal, like most mandalorians would especially the desperate farmer. He wanted his land back, and in order to do this he needed the money desperately, to buy his home back.

"What do you think genius?" Jathin whispered back as the other hunter's blade sat at the back of his neck, beneath the Mando esq helmet on the softer armor beneath. The enforcer wasn't particularly worried about the man behind him. If he'd wanted to kill him he already would have, which means he probably had no idea as to Jathin's identity. Good.

Jathin sat still behind the scope. If he felt the knife move in a threatening manner this new friend of his would get a 12mm pistol shot to the dome.

"I hate to break your concentration but this isn't the first time I've had a knife at the back of my head. What do you want?"

Wandering the barren deserts, Tugoro had become extremely angry at the waste of time that had been coming to Vanqor. Serving the Republic gave you certain advantages and privileges, such as information that did not travel a lot. Being the not your-average-Jedi, Tugoro embarked from Tython after hearing the rumor of a rare Gundark. The sands were heavy on his feet, for he had been travelling for what seemed to be like hours. He had managed to avoid most of the other creatures that inhabited the planet, however he never came across something that was considered rare. Another sentient would be rare, also fun, for he was having a boring day. Closing his eyes, he would allow his mind to connect with the force, searching through it for any significant energy signatures. His range was not great, but there was a sense of danger that the force employed, warning the boy of something to come.

Turning to look off into the distance, he would see the creature, though it was extremely far off. Surely [member="Jathin Fallin "]and [member="Veliz Fett"] would notice it, hopefully concluding their squabble. Reaching towards his waist, the young lad's hands would grasp tightly around the dark metal of his saber, pulling it from the restraints of his belt. Leave it to a Jedi to mess everything up.

Gazing closer, it seemed his adversary was wearing mandalorian armor, which could means two things. He either killed a mandalorian, or was a mandalorian, if he was a mandalorian he would not kill one of his own. But, if he was not, the criminal would die, there was only one way to find out. He would greet the man in mandalorian, after making what he wanted known " Sucuy'ar Vode, do you have Chaabs? If you do not know the hunter's code, then the beast your waiting for is rightfully mine, I have been tracking the beast for days, I want the prey that is rightfully mine." . (Greetings, how are you friend? Do you have fear?). After pausing for a moment, the shady warrior spoke in anger " Answer my questions! " . Hunter's when tracking a prey always had to make the right decisions, and always had to keep track of time about where their game would be. His Bucye(helmet) gazed, the beast should be here by now!

Suddenly the poacher saw a light saber lite. Leave it to a karking force being to kark it all up, his knife had been placed back in its hilt, and his sniper was pulled out , and set down. While the mandalorians armor hid him, his partner seemed to not be so hidden, " Force user! " . Seeing, as a lightsaber was lite, the human doubted his foe would backstab him, and he began to aim at his target. The wind was moving right, therefore requiring him to aim at the far left hip of his newly found target. The hunter had some time to wait for the perfect shot, his adversary may be fast. But, only a true marksmen would ever take the perfect shot, this was a test of skill, would the jedi get there? Or get shot right at the right knee?

The Mandalorian Fixer had been about to answer his agitated Vod when a flickering light denoted the presence of a saber wielder. Jathin shifted as Veliz flattened against the ground, taking a careful look through his rifle's high powered scope and focusing on the figured while thumbing his weapon's safety. As the natural hazing cleared and his eyes gleamed a glimpse of the face of a child behind the blade.

"It's a kid." Jathin murmured to the man next to him.

That was one of the few places the Fixer refused to go.

He wouldn't kill a kid. Even if that kid happened to be a Jedi.

Seduca sat down, muttering to himself in Dug as he readied his rifle, and a butchering knife. "Gundark go be Bantha Poodoo this time." he chuckled, rolling the rifle in his feet, before clutching the knife in his mouth and slinging his other guns over his back.

Being completely unaware of the danger that other sentients posed, at the moment at least, Tugoro's full attention would be directed at the large creatures that continued to approach his position, which was in plain view for all others to see. The desert world was rather bare of obstacles and places to take cover, if you found one you were lucky. The young boy's thumb would slide over the activation switch, causing a bright light to flash out, which brought even more attention to him. The dark pink beam of plasma would grow to it's full length within less than a second, his hands lifting to level out with his torso. The young Jedi padawan would hold his weapon with a tight grip, his fingers having wrapped around the dark metallic material nervously. The rare Gundark was getting closer at a surprising rate, it looking faster and stronger than most.

Tugoro would have to be patient, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. His eyes would close as he started to clear his mind, trying to force out the doubt and fear that clouded his vision. The force would flow freely through him, allowing him to be at ease. His sense were more attuned, the boy's eyes would open as he grinned smugly, waiting for his opponent to strike.

The Dug shot down the Gundark, charging over to it's writhing body. Seduca laughed, speaking in Dug before stabbing it. He begun dragging along, placing his rifle onto his back. Tne next weapon was a handgun, firing the red ammo into the air in victory, soon, he would notice the Padawan, and the kill he just stole.
