Moonage Daydream
PM for the Invite. I've spoken to a few people already, y'all are good.
The setting? A shadowport, but not just any shadowport, one of the ones that the Underground personally constructed. The location? Out beyond the Mid-Rim at a station in deep space, beyond Ryoone but not anywhere near Skye, not yet. Flight plans had been transmitted and hyperspace jumps for a variety of vessels were planned, and with no real broadcasts coming from the shadowport, and no gravity well to speak of, it was the only way to get there. The ships would be arriving in a variety of paths but as soon as they showed up? The Port would welcome them and open up the hangars.
The man in charge wasn’t aware of how many people he’d get to show up. All he knew was that he was hoping for a showing. It was time to affect some change in the galaxy. There were plans in his head, what needed to be done, and how they could go about it. How to best fix the situation in the galaxy. Why did he care? The man that was looking out across the blackness of space was one of the people that lived in the galaxy. That was why he was working to fix it.
Part of him had his own personal vendetta to worry about, and that was what sparked this. The other? Well, it was a matter of principle. For the beings in this galaxy to keep going on how they did? Tey needed to stand tall, they needed to stand together. And what he really needed from them was to put their bickering aside. Sure, he was working with a group of beings he didn’t exactly care for, but he needed the help. He’d figure out what to do with step two next.
For now? It was amassing teams. It was pulling together people and it was giving them tasks. It was making lines in the sand and following them up. It was turning the tide.
It was creating the storm.
When people arrived, they’d be brought through the shadowport, which would change its location after this meeting, to the main conference hall. Most people may not know the man in charge of this meeting, and for him? That meant he was doing his job right. Still, he needed to put his face out there. Things needed to change.
