Illum

Time: 01:30
Location: Above Illum
Viktoria Kess had brought her husband/padawan to Illum. She hadn't told him where they were going, she just told him to bring his lightsabers and get on the ship. An old friend of Viktoria's was watching the girls while they were out, so she wouldn't have to worry. Though Jakkor had asked and asked about where they were going and why they were going, Viktoria never cracked. No matter how far he went, she ignored the questions about the destination and just flew to Illum.

Viktoria had tried everything to keep his mind off of what was going on, but nothing seemed to work. He was always very Inquisitive, but never this much. A beeping could then be heard from the cockpit, signalling that they were emerging from hyperspace. Looking to Jakkor, she gave a smirk and ran to the cockpit.

Plopping herself into the pilot's seat, Viktoria went across the dashboard, hitting buttons here and there. Within the minute, the ship emerged from hyperspace, with Illum displayed right in front of them. She was excited for what came, but she had to admit, she was also nervous.

It was finally his time for his trials. He had proven himself to her and she had to pay him back for all that he had done for her as well. It was her fault it had taken this long though.. there were many times of hesitation.

There was no turning back now.. it was his time and all Viktoria could do, was sit and wait for his return.

Illum

Jakkor was onboard the Outlander sitting in the co-pilot's seat. He had tried to persuade his wife on where she was taking him,but she would not have any of it. Not even kisses would even work on her,and they worked most of the time. They were in hyperspace for nearly a few hours, and Jakkor was feeling impatient. He kept trying to ask her,but she would remain silent not saying a word. He just kept fidgeting anxiously throughout the ride. He was thinking about the girls back home, but with a protocol droid they fixed up a few weeks ago. He was confident that everything would be fine. He just hoped they wouldn't kill each other.

When they did jump out of hyperspace. He noticed a world covered in ice,and one single thought formed in his head. 'Illum' He did not know why she had brought him here, but he may have had a guess or two. The ship was brought down in through the atmosphere, and after coming out it looked to be night time outside. Their were no storms at the moment which was a friendly sight, but if Jakkor knew anything about Illum it wouldn't last long.

He got up from his seat after the landing cycle was set,he looked at Viktoria, and asked her curiously. "Master...Why have you brought me here?"

It was true.. Jakkor had tried a whole span of different things to get her to talk. She was just a little more nervous and excited, that it kept her silent about it. She had already taken long enough on not taking him to the Temple for his Trials, so what was another few hours of delay? She sensed that he was impatient. She was too, but she wanted it to e a surprise for him. It was finally his time to progress and tae his first few steps into being a Jedi Knight. She was nervous about the girls, but she knew they were safe Their protical droid was programmed to fight and protect the girls and was lightsaber and blaster resistant, so she knew everything would be fine.

Viktoria had taken a peak over at Jakkor to see his expression once they emerged from hyperspace. It looked like night, but she hadn't done much research on Illum. She figured that it was like this all the time, but again, she was here when she was very young and that was about twenty years ago.

After she finished landing the ship, she turned her chair and looked to Jakkor who had the most curious face she had ever seen before. She heard his question and gave a nervous smile.

"Just follow me.."

she responded. Viktoria then stood up and walked outside of the ship, beckoning for him to follow. She grabbed her sabers on the way out and hoped Jakkor would grab his too. Once they were out, she looked to Jakkor to finally break the news to him.

"I have delayed this for long enough. Jakkor, I believe that it's time for you to finally become a knight. Between the wars and being a father, you have shown of being worthy of the title to become a knight. I have brought you here to go through your trials."

she said, in a nervous, but calm tone. She had delayed this for many many years.. around ten years to be more exact. She just needed to have him graduate so he didn't seem to be just a rookie to people who could stress that when fighting him. She wanted to make it official and finally give him what he deserved.

Jakkor followed Viktoria close behind, her smile always having that cute look to her,and a calming effect on him. He approached near the landing ramp hooking his sabers to his belt. He walked down the ramp outside to where it was freezing,he had grabbed his traditional Tusken wrappings and placed his hood up to prevent the cold to gnaw painfully at his face.

He stood out their patiently, and when she finally spoke of what her purpose for bringing him here was,He was utterly surprised. She brought him here to complete his training, and finally become a Jedi Knight. He did not know what to say as memories, and emotions rushed him like a thrill seeker in a swoop race. It had been eight centuries since something like this had happened. During the Clone Wars he and Kana were going to take their trials after the war was over, but The Great Jedi Purge had changed all of that for them both. He honestly did not know what to say,and something like this was like a punch in the gut for him.

He finally had a chance to complete his training, and to take the Jedi Trials, but even though he believed he was ready he surprisingly had doubts. After Order 66 and Kana's death he felt that he still had much to learn, and indeed he did. After waking up in a chaotic galaxy,he had to deal with the ghosts of his past that had haunted him, fought Ancient Sith lords, and adjusting to a galaxy who had long thought he was dead. But despite all this he had learned a lot about the force, and even found happiness with his Master who became his wife, and three daughters that he was very proud of. He contributed in the freeing of slaves, and stopping an Insane Sith Lady from using a Super weapon hellbent on destroying the galaxy. And seemed to gain wisdom beyond his years. Indeed He did feel that the time was finally right to take the trials at last despite his fears, and doubts.

He responded calmly not wanting to let any of his excitement show. "Master...I am very honored... Where must I go? What will you even do?" He had so many questions, for this was his first time taking the trials. He did know from his temple days that in order for one to become a Knight they must face five tests. The trials of courage, skill, spirit, flesh, and insight. He stood there waiting patiently for his Master to answer him. The wind howled and blew effortlessly at his robes.

Viktoria had watched Jakkor calmly as he bundled up in extra wrappings to keep himself warm. She stood there with him, with a rosy nose and cheeks in a casual outfit, with a leather jacket and tall boots. Her sabers were hooked to a belt that was right along the top of her hips. Viktoria may have been warned to wear something warmer, but what Jakkor didn't know is that she had a thing for cold air. She could tell when it was cold, but she never got chilly.

After she exposed what they were there for, surprise was written all over his face. She couldn't blame him though. She was scared when it came to her first Trials. He handled it much better than she ever did.. so far he hadn't reacted how she did. Viktoria knew she hadn't been there since day one of the beginning of his training, but she at least had the chance to be apart of it. Not to mention him changing her life completely. He gave her a devotion, married life, three children to be proud of and best of all, his love. It wasn't traditional for a Jedi to have such an attachment, but they were different. They made their own exception.

She knew he was excited. After her initial freak out, excitement had filled her childhood heart. Her trial of the flesh had given her a huge X on her back along with a scar going along her cheek. That was only a small hint of what happened though. Viktoria knew Jakkor had to go through that, she just hoped he wouldn't come out as mangled, tortured and weak as she had. Hearing his question, shook her from her worrying thoughts and she gave a small smile.

"We will be going into the Temple."

she responded as she then lead him into the Temple. As she walked, the breeze toyed with the loose ends of her hair as they flew around freely. Once they entered the Temple, it was huge, dusty and long abandoned. Or at least no one had visited in a while. The footprints of the last people who visited, were covered in a thin layer of dust. She turned to Jakkor once more.

"I will be here.. I will wait where the many Jedi masters have sat and waited for their padawans return. This is the furthest in I am allowed. You must continue on your own. Once you are in, I cannot help you. You will have to use your knowledge and your training to complete each and every Trial and then proceed out. Let nothing fool you. Follow your instinct and let the force guide you through every Trial."

she responded. As many other masters, she wished to help, but by the Order, she had no way of doing so. She could only pray on the force and help him keep his path without letting him lose his way. She would only be able to sit and wait until he would return.

Jakkor nodded as he followed her. Even in this frigid night they were in,he had to admit she still was beautiful. She even still looked the same as she did when they first met. Regardless he shook all thoughts of his Wife's beauty and pressed on. The wind was starting to show no mercy,it howled and aggressively blew at his robes. The snow was also thickening, falling into thick patches upon them both. Jakkor was glad he was wearing his wrappings and his robes, but despite all that he was still freezing. Surprisingly though this didn't have much of an effect on his Master. It was as if she loved the cold, but he did not mind it,for at the moment his mind was set on getting to the temple.

The Temple was an ancient structure, with two statues of hooded Jedi standing outside of the entrance. When they had entered it was covered in a few patches of snow that lied on the ground, and ancient markings were everywhere, Jakkor unfortunately could not read them,so he moved on anyways. He had remembered attending the temple when he was ten years old. A youngling at the time he had constructed his first lightsaber in a ceremony known as the gathering, which Grand Master Yoda usually attended too.

Viktoria snapped him out of his reminiscing by sitting there in the middle of the floor legs criss crossed in a meditation form. She had told him that he would enter the path in front of them, and she would wait for his return. He knew he had to do this on his own,and he was ready for whatever could come his way. He gave her a slight bow saying appreciatively. "Don't worry Master..I believe that if i can survive order 66 and Vader, not to mention a wife who was pregnant with twins, and with each training session practically tried to kill me. I believe i will make it through whatever is in there."

He let out a light chuckle, before carefully making his way inside. Before the door shut itself he looked behind him,and said to her in a light hearted tone. "May the force be with you." He than walked along the path of the dark corridors. There was no going back now. The trials have officially begun.

Viktoria could sense Jakkor staring at her. It made her blush, though it could not be told with her already rosy cheeks, but her pace quickened slightly as a storm seemed to be brewing in the atmosphere. Hopefully the ship would be fine. She had made sure that the ship would stay in case of a storm, but you couldn't be too careful right?

She had remembered coming to this Temple years ago. She remembered first coming in as a youngling, then a wild Padawan and now a badass mother with her husband/padawan so he could finally go through with his own trials. For the past few years.. practically ever since she had met him and he became her apprentice, she had wondered how this moment would work out. The main hope was that things didn't go to hell in there.

Before she sat down, she was listening to what Jakkor was saying and she gave him a quick sarcastic like look and giggled. He had definitely found his sarcastic side after those years of training and then becoming a father.. she guessed that she had been a little contagious and he had caught the joke bug as well. As he went into the Temple, she saw him turning around and she gave a small smile as she kneeled to the ground.

"And with you.."

she responded with a bow of her head as the door then closed completely. Viktoria sighed, taking a deep breath. Here was to hoping that he would make it out alright as a Knight and alive.
