Name: The Tomb of Keljek

Planet: Iliabath, a minor Sith world just outside the Stygian Caldera

Nexus Alignment: Dark

Nexus Effects: The Tomb of Keljek is your average ancient Sith tomb. Lightsiders feel a cold, oppressive presence. Sith find their connection to the Dark Side a little stronger while in the Tomb. It's a good place to meditate, plan, and dream, but it's nothing transcendent.

Size: Region. The Tomb of Keljek is a very weak nexus or vergence, but it contains miles of catacombs, all tainted by the ancient murder of labourers. If cleansed, the Tomb's nexus tends to 'bounce back,' regaining its Dark Side nature over the course of weeks. It could perhaps be 'cleansed' in the same way that Arca Jeth dealt with the planet Ambria: by driving its evil into a much smaller area, such as a specific room.

Development Threads: Iliabath: A Quick Meeting (36 posts). Velok and his Sith associates plan the 'liberation' of the Sith worlds in the Tomb of Keljek, after clearing out or subduing Hssiss guardians.

Description: The Tomb of Keljek is located beneath a jungle plateau in equatorial Iliabath. The Tomb's catacomb has a number of entrances, some forgotten, others improvised. It's entirely possible to fall through a weak point in the ground and wind up in a collapsed side tunnel of the Tomb. The Tomb comprises miles of catacomb and several chambers, most of them monuments to the greatness of Keljek and Sith history in general. Most of the Tomb is in disrepair: it has been raided by tomb robbers many times over the millennia, and its hssiss guardians have not been gentle with the decor. In the shadow of a huge, pointless, and broken alchemical apparatus, a massive and equally broken stone table offers a useful place for meetings and feasts. The table was originally an alchemical altar for the vivisection of terentateks. (That didn't go well.) Minor alchemical artifacts, such as simple talismans and blades, can often be found in stray corners of the Tomb.

Origins/History: The Tomb of Keljek is an unexceptional nexus with, frankly, an unexceptional history. Keljek was a Sith Lord and noted alchemist, pre-Naga Sadow. Rather than attempt any truly great or original work, however, he aimed for quantity over quality. He became known for his prolific creation of very minor amulets and Sith blades, which he doled out as favors to his retainers and servants. At the conclusion of the Tomb's creation, he placed a deadly curse on all the blades he'd forged. A good portion of his retainers promptly butchered each other, as well as the Tomb's labourers. The curse has long since worn away, but the Tomb retains the memory of the evil that took place there. Keljek believed his Tomb appropriately dedicated, and aimed to anchor his spirit there.

Over the following centuries, however, Keljek discovered that his anchor was nowhere near as strong as he'd hoped. In due course he faded entirely, passing into the netherworld and dissolution. With his malevolent presence gone, generations of grave robbers promptly stripped the Tomb of anything genuinely valuable.

In the modern era, Velok and the Sith Order rediscovered the forgotten Tomb and cleared out its remaining hssiss guardians. They used the Tomb as a place of deliberation, counsel, and meditation on the Dark Side, for purposes of planning the Stygian Caldera's liberation. After their plans proved successful and the Silver Jedi withdrew from the ancient Sith worlds, the Tomb became something of a point of contention among various Sith. It would pass from hand to hand as Sith competed and fought over their domains, their holdings. As a weak but reliable Force vergence and a source of minor alchemical items, the Tomb of Keljek was often considered valuable. It didn't hurt that [member="Darth Ignus"] had established a secret hyperspace route from Iliabath to the Stygian Caldera world of Nfolgai, a 'back door' that the Sith had used to devastating effect while liberating the Caldera.

Intent: A gamepiece of sorts for TSO's 'Domain' system.
