DESCRIPTION
Produced in the late stages of the Clone Wars, the Tormentor earned his reputation as the Battle of Coruscant started. After battling with the Invisible Hand, the Captain was killed and Kraig Haskler took command of the ship. For three days the Battlecruiser faced the Separatist fleet, and when the dust settled, many enemy warships had suffered a death blow when confronting the Tormentor. As the war ended and the Empire replaced the Republic, the Clone Wars-era ships were gradually phased out. Haskler retained command of the vessel during the Reconquest of the Rim, but as he left the Navy, the Tormentor vanished. Some say it continued to stalk worlds far away from conventional routes, but many argue it was just a pro-Imperial legend to keep planets in line. These people believe the ship was scrapped or left to die in a graveyard. One way or the other, the ship briefly resurfaced as Moff Haskler's contribution to Grand Admiral Thrawn's war effort in 9 ABY. After Bilbringi, the ship disappeared again, along with Kraig Haskler. Unbeknownst to everyone, the ship was seized by the Empire of the Hand, who buried it on Nirauan as a secondary cloning facility. And when the Hasklers learned about the secrets of their ancestors, they prepared to repair the ship and see him sail again.

STRENGTHS
- Powerslave: With its onboard droid brain network the Tormentor can be managed as a completely automated starship eliminating the need for a vast majority of the required manpower needed to crew the vessel otherwise.
- Battleship: Carrying a high armament compliment the Tormentor is primarily meant in role to support larger vessels by scrambling target priority and to support formations of smaller vessels by providing bruising firepower inline with starfighter and corvette or cruiser movements.
WEAKNESSES
- Watch Your A*s: Like all ‘wedge’ shaped star destroyers, only an array of point defense cannons protect the Tormentor's aft at all. Leaving its ion drives fully exposed to enemy fire in a gruesomely exposed blind spot.
