Private The Tranquility of Nature

Tanaab
Outfit

The early morning sunrise cast a long shadow over Tanaab's pristine surface, glistening lakes and warm red hues advancing against the shrinking shadows and crooked darkness still hiding in the cracks and crevices of large crevices, cracked tree trunks, and untamed grasslands. Karra relaxed against the tree and gazed up at the sky, the dark skies growing ever lighter by the second while painted with strokes of orange, blue, and yellow. It was relaxing, in its own way, though she had mainly chosen the lake for the water as opposed to the serene scenery. In a way, she was almost glad that the ship taking her to Coruscant had to touch down here, space had its own special beauty - the Perellian Trade Route in particular passed close to some beautiful sights - but there was something that natural planetary landscapes had that space could never hope to comprehend...or Karra, for that matter. It was like something you could sense but not quite put a finger on.

She reached into her satchel and pulled out a book and a small flask of Sunfruit Liqueur, settling in for a quiet read. She still had a day or two until she was on her way to the archives to keep going with her research, might as well use it wisely. Tanaab had no small amount of beautiful spots, and who didn't like playing the tourist on occasion, she had heard of a mountain a few miles west that had a view stretching across the horizon. She toyed with the idea of going there and doing some drawing, she wasn't very good at it but that didn't matter much when you enjoyed it. The thought left her as quickly as it arrived though, a distant snapping noise drawing Karra's attention toward the hills behind her. It was all untamed fields, so she was the only out here, or so she thought anyway. It was probably just another sightseer come to admire the view, right? What if it was a criminal here to dump a body? Why would they pollute the water?? Why not use a disruptor??? Calm Karra...calm. She pushed all those thoughts down, reasoning that it was easy enough to lay those paranoid thoughts to rest.
"Hello!? Is someone there!?" She called out, narrowing her gaze towards a rustling in the field...

It was a lovely planet, and truthfully Mi'la would have loved to come down and do a survey on this world if she had kept up to that line of work. Unfortunately, that wasn't the line of work she was looking to do. No, the truth was that Mi'la was here to get her force connection back, or at least try to. On Voss, she had felt something, like it was starting to come back to her, yet just out of reach. It was Mi'la's hope that coming to this world might....do something, help with something? Sakadi didn't know what to do with her anymore, and deep down the Twi'lek was terrified that perhaps one day the Sephi would just...do away with her. Was it unreasonable? Perhaps, but what can one do with a broken padawan who couldn't even feel the force? Seemed like there was little that could be done.

Unfortunately, despite her efforts, she felt no closer to recovering, and in fact she was now lost on the beautiful planes of this world. There were worst fates obviously, but still, having to walk about aimlessly wasn't part of Mi'la's plan. As she continued her walk up a rather steep hill, she lost her footing, stumbling and landing directly onto a patch of shrubbery. To Mi'la's surprise, the plant broke away on impact, being smashed by her fall, and making a rather startling snapping sound in the process that seemed to echo into the distance. Jumping up, Mi'la caught her breath, her pulse quickened from the fall and startling sounds, but what really alarmed her was the voice that called out to here. Was...there someone else out here? Maybe someone that could help her get out of this mess? "Yes! Yes! Hello?" She called back, rushing up the hill with a renewed energy, feeling a wave of relief as she could see another person just out before her. "Sorry, so sorry, my name is Mi'la and I...I'm sorta lost..." She tried to explain as she neared the woman, slowing her pace so the stranger wouldn't get the wrong idea.

Karra got to her feet and peered into the forest of grain and wheat, nervously inching toward it as she tried to make anything out in the rustling that was steadily getting closer. She felt a sense of relief wash over her as a female voice called out in response to her, haggard and out of breath, sounding more than a little lost. Well, to be more specific, she sounded relieved and, given their current location, it was just a sensible conclusion to draw. Sure enough, a few moments later, a Twi'lek stumbled out of the field looking a bit worse for wear. Definitely not a criminal, she chuckled softly to herself and strolled toward the woman, extending a hand in greeting.
"Hi Mi'la, I'm Karra, nice to meet you," She said politely. If she was lost, then she would need to get her back to civilization, she decided, no quick feat since they were out in the wild. Karra had walked here so she didn't have a speeder, and Mi'la looked pretty tired so it felt best to rest for the moment and let her get her energy back.

Karra beckoned Mi'la over to the tree and sat down beside it, letting her have the trunk for her back's sake. "I can help you out, come and have a seat, get your strength back." Reaching into her satchel, she brushed aside the Liqueur and pulled out a small candy bar, offering it to her new companion. "Hungry?"

To Mi'la's relief, the stranger seemed to be rather kind compared to the other rabble that she had encountered. Jogging up to the woman, she nearly stumbled into Karra as she strode forth and introduced herself. Panting, Mi'la took the woman's hand, shaking it firmly as she gave a smile. Honestly, given her past experience with this sort of thing. It was just nice to not have a saber thrown at you or being thrown against the wall, she was frankly getting rather sick of it. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She remarked, her hand going to her lightsabers at her waist, just to ensure that they were still in place.

As her new companion departed to take a rest under the tree, Mi'la was all to eager to take a break. "Oh, thank you!" Taking a place aside the woman, Mi'la took her rest against the tree, her cybernetic arm flaring up, as she did a quick scan of it's trunk, reading the data feed back it provided. It wasn't anything exciting really, but Mi'la did like seeing her device in action. A soft aqua beam pulsed from her finger tips, sweeping over the tree, and after several moments of this, the scan was complete; the info being displayed in a hologram on Mi'la's arm. When her eyes pulled away from the display however, she found that her companion was offering her a candy bar, something that the Twi'lek accepted all too eagerly. "I appreciate it!" Taking the bar, she began unwrap it, her thoughts moving towards devouring the bar and disregarding the data she had just acquired. Leaning back against the tree, she decided to just go ahead and get the complicated affair over. "So, just to let you know, yes I'm a jedi. Or I used to be, but, I-" Mi'la paused in her eating, looking up to the sky as she tried to think about what to say. "Long story short, I can't feel the force anymore, so I came here hoping to fix that. Sadly, that's done nothing to help me here." Shrugging her shoulders, Mi'la looked back to the woman, taking another bite from her candy bar. "So, why are you all the way out here Ms. Karra?"

Ok, that came out of nowhere, Karra thought, raising an eyebrow as the woman felt the need to clarify she was a Jedi. Maybe she had noticed Karra's eyes flicking to her sabers earlier, or maybe she just wanted to use the Jedi name as a status symbol, that last one seemed unlikely though. Either way, this seemed like what most people classified as 'too much information' - not that she minded. It was nice to have something to relate to and talk about while they waited for her to recover her strength. That last tidbit was especially interesting - and concerning - from her own point of view. She had never come across a Jedi who was cut off from The Force before, be it willingly or unwillingly. She couldn't even conceive of not feeling The Force around her, the very thought seemed as alien to her and she was to others. She needed a moment to process that.
” Caught me looking at the lightsabers huh?" She asked coyly, pointing at one of the swords on her belt before looking back up at her with a smirk. "I don't think you would just suddenly blurt that out to someone you just met otherwise."

Karra's hand twitched as if about to take out her own lightsaber but something stopped her, a thought coming to bear. Why tell her she was in the presence of another Jedi? She was cut off from The Force so she wouldn't sense it, and she clearly didn't find any solace or progress around other Jedi or in the temples, hence why she was here in the wild. Perhaps it would be best if she were to refrain, for now, just let her think she was a lone traveler that wanted to help out (which was technically true). "Um, I don't really know what to say to that, so...I'm just a traveler, my transport touched down here for repairs before heading to Coruscant so I figured I would do the tourist thing." She said, gazing out at the sea as the sudden swirl of information continued to process. It was a bit annoying it was taking this long, normally she tried to take things in stride but she just had several important pieces of personal information levvied at her within seconds so she was a little blindsided still.
