It had been long enough since her injuries, and while some might have just accepted their plight in life, Mi'la held no such reservations however. Advanced medical procedures existed to allow one to regain lost limbs, but it hadn't been her first choice when it came to recovering from her injuries. Darth Malevolum had taken more than just her arm and a headtail, she had taken the padawan's confidence, and the weeks of torture that followed nearly took her sanity. Confidence was just one thing she would have to work at building it back, starting back from the bottom of her padawan training and work her way back up. It would be a long and tedious road to get to where she had been, but at least she had started on the path to recovery. Pacing at the waters edge, her hand fiddled with the saber on her belt, her robes blowing in the wind as as she contemplated what to do. She could repair the damage to her body easy enough, they had the tools her to do so, and yet it wouldn't be quite right. Something inside her just felt wrong at the mere thought of getting another arm, another Lekku, as if the battles had never occurred, as if she was trying to hide from her scars; as if she was trying to be ashamed of her past once again.
In a way, she was very much ashamed of her past, the fact that her parents had been slavers, that all her accomplishments had been possible due to her parents cruelty. Though, due to the cruelty, she had been taken into the jedi as a result. Some good had come from that bad, and yet, that shame still lingered; and she had her own slave brand as proof. Her enslavement to a Hutt had shown her what it was like to live that lifestyle, and with that revelation she had only felt more sympathy for the victims of her parents cruelty. Yet, here she stood once again, struggling to find a meaning out of this suffering she had undergone.
Little did the Twi'lek know, that in the distance a storm was moving in, the dark clouds gathering in the distance, it wouldn't be long before it descended upon the city; though an unseen entity hearkened forth it's coming, swimming beneath the depths, driven by a seemingly unknown goal.
