The Usual Acts - [Coruscant]

"But master Mordu...a routine like this has been found unsatisfactory and forbidden by my protocol!" the household's nanny droid piped up, wheeling its way in front of the oh so moody teenager. Taki'ati had already hated those dumb things, nanny droids were made for babysitting and watching over smaller children. It was rather demeaning that even as a teenager her mother hadn't trusted her much after the absence of her father.

"Oh pipe down." Taki stated cooly and non-chalantly, brushing by the being's smooth metallic side. What was it gonna do anyway? Tell on her? Pfft.

"Master! Master!" the droid's shrilly and pitchy voice cried after her, the creation wheeling next to Taki's side as she stalked towards the apartment door, reaching for the handle and exiting. Taki could hear more remarks and exclamations as the door was closed, leaving the twi'lek alone in the hallway.

The upper levels of Coruscant had always been boring, filled with political nobles and affluent speakers, at least thats how it seemed to the young Twi'lek. Being the insensitive teenager that she is, she thought this life was rather bland. It was clear that others lived in worse filth and squaller, but that didn't stop her from whining on the daily about how she and her mother lived. The lower levels were much more desired, endless experiences with raging swoop gangs and maybe even a few cartels would slither their way out of the depths! It was rather trashed down their, all sense of power and government appeared to be thrown along into the trash compactor. This was where it's at, the little thrill seeker had a plan.

The travel did in no way take very long, a few elevators, staircases, and steeper roads took her to her oh so desired destination. It was quiet down here, which could be classified as odd, however Taki hadn't yet noticed. She was taking in the sights to behold of the Lower level, glowing cantina signs and speeders parked out front, she could even hear some music spilling out on to the street. Ah, yes. This was her kind of place.

Coruscant, the core and gem of the galaxy..... or that's what most are lead to believe. To Gaen, it was a farce and yet a iconic image of reality of the galaxies social system. The rich and privileged living over top of those they deemed lesser and certainly less fortunate. over five thousand levels from top to bottom and the further you venture down the further you find yourself from what would be considered civilization. Go even further than that and you will find yourself in the underworld. Best have your wits about you and a good blaster if you tend to tread in that muck.

Fortunate for Gaen, he was well versed in traversing the lower levels. Had made his narrow escape from the grasp of some ruthless debt collectors a success. For now. As long as he kept moving. The smuggler had found himself on the under city level, trying his best to blend in with the twilighters as they basked in the artificial light and bustled about the busy and sleepless streets. There was all sorts of entertainment to be had on this level, it catered to most if not all tastes and vices of the galaxy.

His head was on a swivil, his cat-like icy blue hues kept searching for his pursuers. He knew he had to find safety, a place to hold out till the heat died off. He also knew that the crew that was after him would have eyes on his ship. So a direct escape was not going to be had here and now. He looked over his shoulder again, his feet moving faster then those that were around him. That was when he had clumsily stumbled into a very attractive Twi'lekk, his broad shoulder clipping her as he failed to move around her.

"Sorry lass, ur ye awe rite?" His apologetic words escaped his lips, rich in a brogue corellian accent. "Si'jovi'asi!" he apologized again, this time in the native tongue of the Twi'lekk while taking in the full view of her. He was held captive by her beauty, his gaze locked into her steely blues and forgetting that he was currently a man on the run.

It was nice to be back home. Tavi had to deal with a lot of new and surprising krayt recently, and it felt good to be back. In the Lower levels of Coruscant, there was krayt too, but at least he had a general sense of what it would be. Sure the kids by the Ionized Senator wold try to pickpocket him again, the junkies in the alley a few blocks from his apartment would try to sell him drugs again, and those Underworld police by the market would try to do a search on his person, because there was still hate when Tavi put a few of their friends away for being corrupt. That is why he tried to disguise himself, wearing simple black cloths, and a black hood that covered his head.

Most people in the this level knew him, knew that he use to be part of the Coruscant Security Force. They either took it with fear, respect, or disgust. Sometimes all of the above. Most of his neighbors left him alone mostly, because they accept that he lives down there too, and everyone is just trying to get by.Plus, it helps too have a former good cop around.

Tavi shook his head, as he passed by the Ionized Senator, and the kids all ran by him like they were playing a game. They all ran into him and nearly knocked him down. Tavi maintained his balance and looked back as they ran away. He knew they took the 100 credits that were in his pocket. He knew they would split it and go get some food. He had seen the days when they couldn't move because of hunger. Now he made sure to "pass by" and give them enough to eat from time to time.

As he was almost near his apartment, he came upon the local junkies in the alley and hanged out with them for a bit. He did a checkup on all of them and pretended to browse their wares. In the end he bought nothing, but sent the younger ones home with threats of telling thier parents. While he scolded the older ones, and asked them if anyone was missing or had OD'ed recently. He always made sure to make it to the funerals....and sometimes even payed for them if he knew the kid well.

Finally he just decided to ignore the market today and stay close to the cantinas instead. There was no positive way he could handle the police, at all. they held grudges for a very LONG time. Tavi looked at Git who hovered by his side scanning the crowd, ready to let him know if he had been spotted by the police.

Tavi was getting close to his apartment, when he noticed a scruffy man bumped into a pretty Twi'lekk. The man wasn't a pickpocket, Tavi could tell that. Pickpockets don't stare at there mark after bumping into them like a lovesick porg. Tavi shook his head and smiled from underneath the hood. He then frowned as he saw two familiar faces running up. I told those two debt collectors to not to come into this area again. Looks like he had to teach them a lesson again.

Kicking a can into a very large trash pile Jorco continued to walk. He was in it deep, so low not even the law could really touch him. That and with the amount of garbage down here it was a little difficult to breath with all the methane and carbon produced from the trash. Where he's at was a place where the law was whoever could dish out the most harm to other. Power through force, the most primal form of power.

The Rodian was alone, he'd come quite far to end up within the galactic land fill that was some of the really lower levels. He was hear to deal with an old rival of sorts. A man that had wronged one of his clients. It had been quite a while since then, but Jorco promised he'd find them, and deal with them personally. So he did something pretty irrational and came alone. The exchange he had with his rival was actually not that bad and was quite pleasant, both of them respected each other. The man for how dedicated the alien was to finding him, and Jorco for how well he hit. So the man gave the credits he owed and more, since Jorco threatened to shoot him if he did fork over some more for his sudden added fees. He was a crime boss after all. He still needed to be threatening so people didn't mess with him or the clients under his protection.

I was gonna take him quite a while to get back up to the surface, since he had to go down to one of the deepest cantinas on the planet for his pursuit. Getting up to were things would be more "lawful" so he didn't need to worry about spooky trash men getting him anymore. The Rodian walked down the streets and came across another cantina, figuring it would hurt in the slightest if he got a drink or two. While he got to the entrance he looked back to two a man and a young looking Twi'lek human bump into each other like fools. Looking to the side he saw two no good looking individuals, on the hunt. To be honest the Rodian would sympathized more with whoever they were hunting down then whoever was running from them, considering he was just in a very similar position not too long ago.

[member="Jorco Czeku"] was an idiot, a lovable idiot but still not the brightest thinker out there having gone on some solo mission to settle a score with and old, 'acquaintance' of sorts. Though she could understand why someone would do it, personal reasons or to prove something, just the thought of it seemed so silly, in her line of work everyone needed a back up plan no matter what, even if they had no knowledge of it. As such the spy for hire had tracked the Rodian to Coruscant through... other means, following him down to the lower levels, for once putting her cocktail dress aside for some decent (though still rather revealing) sneaking/combat attire.

So far though nothing had come of the green mans journey, well to her knowledge anyways but some blood spatter here and there though the trail she was following seemed a little off at this point. Had trash cans now the moral enemy after the punch up earlier? A many of them being kicked over or well dented by something round. "Looks to be your average boot print here, someone had bee playing shockball", the Chiss giggled slightly the trail leading to a small street not far away, the small sound of two people talking slightly echoing down the side alley.

Turning the corner Vettu's beady red eyes observed the scene, not far away was a human and Twi'lek covering with one another, seeming to have literately bumped into one another, as for the other, well it was the green man himself, looking a little worse for wear with what looked to be a bruise of some sort around the left eye. "My my, getting into fights now are we", she cooed to herself while sneaking closer, hoping to give the Rodian a pleasant surprise.

God, the Sith destroy your homeworld then destroy
A medium-sized ship hovered near the ground, a dim, orange light emanating from the thrusters as it landed near the cantina, a fog left the hatch as it opened, revealing a tall man wearing armor. He inspected the scorched plating on the ship before sighing, walking into the cantina. The Gen'Dai had just left what was one of the most intense fights of his life as a pirate, and was visibly distressed, he had lost his whole crew and had to avenge them.

He sat on one of the chairs, a loud, slightly robotic voice was heard as he talked to the old man with a trimmed, grey beard and short hair.

"Any troubles? I can help, and give me beer." He spoke as he placed some credits on the counter, pushing them to the man with a finger.

"Well, call me a Tusken's Uncle..." Koenrad breathed, trying for all the world to keep his surprise to himself.

The back end of a cantina on Coruscant was certainly not the place he'd expected to be having this conversation. Between his contact - a Zabraki man, sallow skinned and deeply inked - and his own widened eyes, right there on the table, was enough pure spice to buy an entire frigate. The individual crystals were almost three inches long apiece, and aside from the faint orange tint were nearly translucent. Sliding the shuttered-lid closed on the small box, Koenrad slid it across the table - although he did it hesitantly and it wasn't far enough from him that he couldn't grab it if things got ugly. His gaunt Zabraki associate spared a crackhead's glance down to the box, and then flicked his eyes back up to Koenrad. His entire presence screamed jittery. Based on the skeletal fingers, greasy hair and recent outbreak, Koenrad could only assume the man had been using the spice rather heavily before bringing it to be sold. No matter. This drugged up addict had brought him the biggest haul he'd gotten in weeks.

Koenrad's face was still shifting back into wary awe at the pure quality of the product before him, but his eyes had narrowed. His gaze became measured and cautious, but... hungry, in a very dangerous way. With a grin that was more reminiscent of a snarl than a smile, he asked, "How much?"

The Zabrak's shifting stare refocused on Koenrad, having snapped to several different points of interest in the background over the previous several seconds. He seemed to be having a hard time formulating words, his lips faintly moving but no sounds escaping them. Then he licked his lips, his spice-swollen larynx bobbing visibly in his throat as he swallowed, and replied, "Your ship... the escort. And, all the credits on you... and, uhm-" it was here that his gaze went to the ceiling, his demands being assembled on the fly, "-and, and I want half the cut from whoever you sell it to!"

His smile was so comically machiavellian that without context one would assume he'd just expelled a cunning scheme wherein he would be given control of the entire galaxy upon its completion. Kunz laughed, genuinely and loudly, a clear peal just audible above the din of the cantina. The Zabraki's devious expression left him, giving way to a resentful scowl. He truly looked haggard when he frowned, his prominent cheekbones creating dark pockets of his cheeks and his sunken eyes glowering in their depths. Koenrad's mirth died down, and when he'd regained his composure he said to the man in a manner similar to that of an adult condescending to a child, "No!"

What happened next happened very quickly indeed. The Zabraki opened with a line that sealed his fate, though with quite the bravado, "You're gonna give them to me, or I'll take that pretty container and sell it to someone else!" Normally, such words would mean only a ruined deal - and though this deal would soon be ruined - today, they were followed by something much worse. Koenrad's easy composure and his mirth faded, in their place the same predatory greed that had lingered behind his eyes before... only now that too was shadowed by an extremely unstable kind of simmering anger. Though his contact was beyond noticing, Koenrad - to anyone who bothered to observe - looked more a man premeditating murder than a man ready to fold to the whims of an addicted spice-slinger. His fingers shot for the box on the table, left hand already on the table top and milliseconds away. The Zabrak brought a small blaster, a peashooter really, up from below the table and began to aim at Koenrad when Koenrad himself pulled the trigger. Not on the tiny blaster pointed at his face, of course, but on the double-barrelled carbine he'd had on his lap since he'd sat down. The sound of plasma discharging ripped through the wafting hubbub of the cantina, only the thunder to the lighting of two plasma slugs punching into the Zabraki's gut from point blank range.

Hubbub turned to calamity as people tried, some succeeding and some failing, to scramble from the corner booth. Koenrad snatched the little box, ejected himself from the booth, and with a cry of "It was self defense!", dove towards the cover of the nearby liquor bar. This wasn't the first cantina shoot-out he'd been a part of, and if it were at all up to him it would certainly not be the last.

The Gen'Dai slammed the mug on the table, slightly startled by the sound of weaponry being fired, he moved one of his hands toward the handle of his sword, seeking for the source of the sounds.

It was then that he saw what appeared to be a zabrak on the floor, his guts shot open. He inspected the corpse for a bit only to be surprised by the man jumping past him, leaping out of the way only to see that the man took cover before he could even react.
"Let me have some peace, I came here to get a drink, not to fight."

He spoke as he walked back to the chair, pulling his helmet up and placing it on the table. He began to drink from the mug, unamused by the conflict.

The Rodien sensed something, then heard a familiar voice. With a perplexed expression he turned to see what it was. Then his expression went from mildly confused to being surprised. Looking over the lovely Chiss women. "H-Huni, what are you doing here?" He wasn't sure how to really react. This time catching him off guard even more. Seeing two familiar faces today wasn't a treat he expected for today. Then noticed the rather revealing attire she had on.

After trying to better compose himself the Rodian cleared his throat. "Sorry, um, it's a pleasure to see you again." Jorco said to [member="Vettu'honi'oazi"] trying to act more well mannered. "I was just heading to the cantina, could I buy you a drink." He added, then flinched some as he hear the loud commotion in the cantina through the entrance. "Umm, perhaps going here isn't really the best option." He stepped closer, "If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing down here."

Vettu gave a cocky grin as she approached the Rodian from behind, ignoring the other two people across the road, it seemed her little appearance almost out of no where was quite a surprise to the very hands on crime leader. "Oh Jorco, it's Honi, not Huni, with and O, you make me sound like some sort of food like that hee hee ha ha", she continued to walk closer, obviously amused by the Rodian's confused expression and surprised tone of voice as he offered her another night out.

"Well that does sound fun, but I think that said bar has enough rowdy patrons as is", she replied, making clear motion to the large armored guy causing a few loud bangs and crashes, clearly ticked off about whatever the hell was going on in there. "As for why I am here, let's just saw I offered myself a job in tracking down a Rodian crime boss who does silly thing and chases people to the depths of Coruscant for money with no way back up and no back up plan".

During the small rant her voice changed from that of kind and sweet to a little annoyed, like a mother or slightly angry girl friend, before once again returning to its usual tone, "So in a nut shell I'm here to get your sexy green ass back up top, lest wind up dead somewhere".

[member="Jorco Czeku"]

Jorco listened closely to what she had to say. Feeling once again at a loss of words. "Heheh, well that's kinda sweet of you..." He said, feeling as if she was some kind of hot Chiss body guard. Who wouldn't want something like that? But then his expression sharply changed when he realized what the last thing she said was.

"Heeey, I can handle myself you know." He said crossing his arms a little. "Who do you think you are, my baby sitter?" To be honest he felt a little insulted that she wouldn't trust him to take care of himself. But then he thought that maybe she just did it because she cared about him. After a moment the Rodian really wasn't sure what to make of it. Leaving him unsure what to say next.

"I guess we can talk on the way off this planet since I don't have anymore work down here." He said walking away from the cantina. "After all, you did say you wanna get my "sexy green ass" to the top. So I guess you get to be my escort today."

Sitting in the corner of the cantina by himself with a black cloak covering him he looked up to the sound of yells and hatred he could sense these emotions then loud noises and a dead body drop watching this happens the boy was shocked as he was dreaming when this attack happened off-guard and not aware of the situation he just simply let the authorities deal with him or other crime lords, either way, the murderer would get what was coming just not from the Chiss.

Now aware there was an attack he started to feel his surroundings looking for interesting people to entertain his mission but he did not yet sense anything that could help him here he would watch from a distance before moving anymore.

Vettu struck a sultry 'oh yes' stance at Jorcos comment, "Well, they don't call me Honi for nothing he he he.... and yes I know you can handle yourself" she replied with a sigh "But you so reckless all the time, tracking some guy to the under city for cash, sure it give you a good reputation, but others could use that to their advantage, what happened if your target was lying in wait hu"? Such actions where dangerous to perform without a back up plan of sorts, herself constantly watching out for and nasty tricks one may pull on her.

She walked a little closer to the Rodain, rubbing a hand along his face, "Awww a baby sitter, your so cute when your get all pouty", okay maybe that was a little too much but she enjoyed getting a rise out of people. "Anyways yes to business getting up top, I suppose since getting a drink at that bar is out of the question", he motioned to the commotion inside the bar, "and yes, I did say sexy green ass, even though I havn't see it yet, but that's it something for another time.

The Chiss did not want to stay here any longer with all this drawing attention he did not want to be pinned with the fight as he had nothing to do with it so he finished his drink, got up and started walking out of the cantina seeing another Chiss walking towards her " Rare to see another of my species down here "

[member="Vettu'honi'oazi"] | [member="Jorco Czeku"] |

Jorco was becoming surprised with her behavior. Yeah she's always acted like a tease with him, but this felt like something else. Something on a whole different level. Especially with caressing his face and talking to him in such a way. "Eh-Wabedoo..." ( An phrase used to express excitement of some kind) He wasn't entirely sure how to react to her words. She was seriously catching him off guard this time. Much more then when he accidentally called her "hot" on Nar Shaddaa.

"Well uh...let's go top side I guess." He said managed to say, ready to get out of the lower levels. Yet he was pretty captivated by her behavior still. But whatever spell he was under was broken after the other Chiss made his comment. He didn't think that their kind was that unpopular down here, but what did he know, he was just a Rodian. After that he shot a looked to him as if to say. "Hands off."

Perhaps she was going a bit overboard with the flirting, but what she was doing now in comparison to other men she flirted with was tame, very tame, more so with her wearing more decent clothing then the usual short cock-tale dress. "Ah, sorry sorry, guess I got too carried away and all", she remarked after the Rodians sudden outburst, making Vettu adopt a more calmed expresion, *Ahem* "But yes we need to find a way up top that does not involved people shooting at your, or trying to arrest us, thankfully I have a few contacts".

Before she could start elaborating more on the plan the two where interrupted by a new individual. Turning around the her red eyes lay upon, well another Chiss, seeming to have excused himself form the rather, nosy bar, unsurprisingly considering the gun shot that sounded off. "Perhaps it is, but if you know where to look it becomes much easier", something felt off about this Chiss, though Vettu was unable to place her figure on it, not that is mattered right now, she had a job to do, "Is this your first time in the under city? you don't look like your from around her".

Looking at the green man seeing he was acting more aggressive " Its ok lizardman I'm not here to harm you any way I've come a time or two but I'm far from a regular " reaching into his pocket and grabbing gum before chewing on a piece as he continued the conversation " Greeny over there doesn't seem like he's from around here either " trying to get a rise out of the man he stood there waiting for a reply.

[member="Jorco Czeku"] | [member="Vettu'honi'oazi"] |

Jorco let out a sigh after she spoke, nodding to her words. He could only imagine the degree of flirting that she could go to. The Rodian also wondered who these contacts were that she spoke of. "Alright Honi, well I'm ready when you are." Which he imagined was now since she'd come all this way for him. He did wonder though, did she track him down because she was hired to, or wanted to.

Then looking over to the Chiss male, he felt a little annoyed with his words. "Hey I know my way around these urban planets. I grew up on Nar Shadda, these lower levels ain't got nothing on me." He replied, "And don't let Miss Honi here give you the wrong idea. This is the first time she's acted as my guardian angle."

Grinning at him as he spoke " You should not be down here if one cannot defend himself as relying on anyone else is inaccurate and dangerous but ill look past it " he did not know what he was gaining from talking to them he just wanted to have a quick conversation maybe some flight teasing and move on but these two stuck to him they seemed like perfect candidates to have some fun with but he was losing his interest as he did not see the two as a threat they were not what he was looking for.

Vettu's usually calm and flirty gaze hardened a bit at the Chiss, a bit put off by his sudden offensive attitude, "That is some accusation to be throwing around, what made you think my 'close' friend here can't take care of himself"? Ture she had followed the Rodian to make sure nothing went wrong with this little adventure of his, but it on her own initiative with no outside interference, Jroco backing up that statement, giving a little kick back at the Chiss.

"Okay look here buddy, both me and mister greenery can take care of yourself just find in the under city, but if you think having help is bad then your in for a bad time, it is always good to have back up and a fall back if things goes south, if you can't see that then your and idiot straight and simple". She knew the man was just looking to argue, and she would gladly enlighten him with a match or words, though would make a competition out of it, Vettu hated losing, more so to someone with no street smarts.
