COMBAT INFORMATION

- Deployment: Limited
- Strengths & Weaknesses:
[+]Adaptive: As one might expect from such a motley crew, the Venom Guard is extremely adaptive. They are well known for being able to overcome any obsticle in their path in the most unconventional means. The group as a whole holds a range of knowledge with each member carrying an expertise. This allows Venom to be suited to a large number of different kind of jobs for the Empire.
[-]Misfits: The Venom Guard is staffed wholly by people who could be classified as 'misfits'. Though not entirely intentional, Venom was formed by Operatives who for one reason or another were rejected from Inferno Squadron. The reasons for this range a great amount, certain applicants being denied due to Mental Instability while others may have been declined for poor test scores. Invariably each and every member of Venom holds some sort of chip on their shoulder, a major flaw that saw them rejected from Inferno and left them stranded in the Guard.
[-]Cohesion: Men and women in Venom don't tend to last all that long and as such members are constantly cycling in and out of the squadron. This leads to an extreme lack of cohesion among the Guard's new recruits. Though this tendency fades as new comers get used to the order of the Guard, it does mean that casualty rates among new members of the group are extremely high.
- Description:
Originally the Guard was created as a way to effectively utilize men and women whose application to Inferno Squadron had been rejected. These soldiers had been found more than capable by the Empire, well trained and perfectly able to fight, but in the end denied their request to join Inferno for one reason or another. Since the Empire held no ill will towards it's own soldiers, Venom was formed as an alternative to Inferno.
The true worth of Venom Squadron comes from it's tenacity.
Unlike other units within the Empire, Venom constantly feels as though they have to prove something. The group is exceptionally skilled and well honed, and even though its members are flawed they seek to forge a reputation upon the basis of their work.
The leader of Venom is a young woman named Valerie Rein. Having only recently joined The Empire, Valerie was selected to lead the Guard due to her education at the Anaxes War College. The studies she had committed to there gave her a wide range of abilities, and due to her own flaws it was decided her skills could best be applied in attempting to lead The Venom Guard.
Though the Venom Guard feels they have something to prove to their brothers in Inferno, they are still skilled soldiers and deadly opponents.
