The Hellbark Shotgun is Alterra Arms and Armour's latest experimentation in the Verpine Shatter Gun technology, testing the limits of what can be fielded. The Hellbark is the result of a month and a half of testing, experimentation, and prototypes that created the shotgun. Keeping with the theme of a Verpine Shatter Gun, it fires completely silently due to it's firing mechanism being magnetic propulsion, while also maintaining a high stopping power. The main difference between a classic shatter gun and the Hellbark is that it possesses a high recoil, due to its unique firing mechanism, which is a variation of a true shatter gun. The projectiles fired per shot is dependent on the amount within the buckshot shell used, of which the shotgun can only hold ten at a time, with an indefinite amount attached to it.
It has vast potential for modularity, with different stocks, barrels, optics, grips, and miscellaneous attachments available. It also comes with clips for a strap to be equipped. It is made primarily of titanium, making it practical as a makeshift melee weapon, as it could break bones if the proper force is applied. It is currently off of Alterra's public and private shelves, and only available in a contract with the company.
