The Way of the Silent Warrior

~ Please note that this thread will be a continual training thread containing @Jericho's training. ~

Session One

Teth

After a few hours of tracking followed a caravan that he was meant to protect to a forest. He stayed on top of a tree keeping from sight but at the same time keeping his target in sight. He let out a soft sigh while looking down at his target awaiting for the right time to make his move. So far, so good the night has been quiet. He around for a moment and saw that his target was surrounded. Great, other mercenaries wanting to make the job harder on him. The jedi put on his breathing mask to help with increasing his stamina. He took a moment to assess the situation.

Pulling himself over the ledge silently, the other armed men couldn't see him or simply hadn't noticed him. Being mercenaries, or even assassins, they would recognize him as a jedi which would lead to more hostile results. Because of the he was going to have to end this quickly with the least amount of damage to the helpless caravan, basically, the last thing most of them will see will be his saber. He jumped from the tree and landed quietly and he quietly came up to the closest assassin, using the tips of his ridged fingers to damage the tendons in the back of his knee. He then stood and snapped the man's neck as he fell to the ground due to his knee. Pulling two throwing knives from the mercenaries sheaths on his left thigh, he threw both at once, finding their targets in the eyes of two of the would be mercenaries on either side of him. Using force push to increase the speed of the knives to quickly dispatch them.

Slipping out his curved blue saber, he closed the distance between him and two of the others by doing a duck and roll and flipping up into the air over them, thrusting his saber down into the back of one of their necks before coming down. When he landed, it was at such an angle that just before, he spun slicing the other in half. All four of his victims, save for his first, fell to the ground at the same time. There was one more mercenary before he got to the leader of the mercenary force. Jericho moved toward him, noticing that the merc was unarmed, and used the force to pull him close only to force push him into a tree not killing him but knocking the man out.

He moved to the mercenary leader, "What? Going to cut me down? Go ahead, I'd like to see you try! You're going to have get through more of my men!" The mercenary yelled at Jericho. Jericho let out a soft sigh and turned on the second end of his lightsaber blade getting into the Shien stance. But he held his lightsaber horizontally behind him with a hand infront of his. "Call off your men." Jericho said calmly. The mercenary wickly smiled then let out a equally wick laugh and ordered him men to attack, Jericho let out a sigh and charge in using force speed to move freely and dodge the blaster fire. He used the surrounding environment help him maneuver around to the mercenaries. He spun his saber over his head and slashed down the mercenary in half and stabbing the other tearing him in half and stopping once more infront of the leader. "Call off your men..." He again said calmly. The leader accepted defeat and the caravan was saved.

Simulation Over, 100% complete, no civilian injuries. Good Job, padawan Jericho.

The surrounding area turned into a white room all the trees disappeared and all the people that were taken down were merely droids. Which were taken out of the room by other droids for all repairs needed. It had been four years since they have been here and he has grown taller and stronger. He now stood at 6'5 with a strong and musclar body but that isn't the only thing that has changed. He had a better mastery of the lightsaber forms and use of the force, he was much more tech savvy and better trained in the art of stealth. Master Seren has taught him well in the last four years.

The simulation may have seen it as a perfect round, but as ever Asha had her criticisms. So was the way of a teacher, their place was to point out flaws, but in a constructive manner. Nothing that was said was meant to be harsh, to belittle, to undermine, it was always at the benefit of the student. "Very well handled, Jericho ~ but do not be so quick to switch from Form Zero to your Lightsaber Forms. There is more to Form Zero than mere words. Influencing one's thoughts, incapacitating them in other ways. And even then, a Sun Djem could always be considered before the harsher life-taking Marks of Contact." But all in all, she was somewhat proud, he had stood his ground, and held off the droids which had been set to the highest of levels.

This lesson could go in one of two ways... Either work on Form Zero, or Marks of Contact. Or a mixture she supposed. It was always wise to build upon the faults, the weaknesses, before continuing with any further training. "Tell me, Jericho; what do you know of Form Zero?" It was something they had been through before, but it had been a while since they actually discussed it. As she had said, there was more to it than diplomacy, and there was more to it than situations, but she wanted his version before she spoke her own.

[Sorry it's short, but I only had your last Paragraph to go off, really, as Asha took no part in the simulation.]

(No worries, I'm not particularly good at intros, normally I would just hope it was at least a good read but then I reread it and it turned out to be a terrible one. So, I'm sorry.)

The padawan let out a soft sigh, sheathed his saber and put it to his side then walked over slowly to his master's side simultaneously lowering his hood so they could talk to face to face. An act he only did for his Asha, since the days they were a part of the council, he had fully adopted the nickname of ghost with his now more than exceptional skills in Sokan and the art of stealth. Jericho regularly wore his mask and hood up to hide his face and took the time to maintain that look whenever he was around anyone else but Asha. Obviously it was a sign of his trust and respect for his master, but to him that was as far as he felt their relationship would go. Though he was much closer to her in comparison to the members of the silent conclave he still couldn't fully open up to her. In his mind they could not have the relationship like Thurion, his fellow padawan, had with Master Asha from what he had witness between the two they were close, very close, they relied on each other more so than the average padawan and master. Though from what he had seen a lot of the padawans and master were close in the silent conclave.

"Thank you, Master Seren, for your input. As always I will reflect on your wisdom." He said with a slight bow of his head.

After his brief statement his mind trail off on the other topic on the relationship the other masters and padawans had. To him, it was similar to he concept of familial love and maybe beyond that but he could not truly say since he has yet to experience the feeling with anyone. After all he was given to the the order at a very young age so he didn't really know his family and he never really taught how to socialize only, taught to think logically and the way of the jedi order. Over time he had to toss away most of order's teachings but kept his logical mind and a flaw of an over analytically logical mind was less of an emotional person. Which could be a good and bad thing depending on a persons perspective, but did he care about other people's opinion of him? The answer was no, he did not what-so-ever.

"It's more a principle than a form, Master, like adapting to a situation as you taught me long ago. It a way of thinking, finding a alternative solution to a situation." He stated calmly.

Jericho has always been one with a calm mind where many would assume he was the type to be overly aggressive, they would merely only understand the tip of Jericho's foundation of understanding. He did after all grow up in the order, the way of peace was pounded into his memory not to be the aggressor but think of the way of a peacekeeper, he often used that stereotype of Jedi to his advantage in battles, of course if it was justified. He wasn't going to use the force to oppress anyone or attack innocents for the sake of a situation, merely he felt or knew that someone was going to strike, he was going to strike them first. As he felt like he displayed in the simulation, taking down the armed ones the would strike at him, knocking out the unarmed, and asking the leader to stand down before continuing his attack in the means of defending his objective. In his mind he was in the right for taking the actions that he did, but understood there was still more for him to learn.

This could be his anaylzing mind and just be over thinking of what his master wanted from him by asking him a basic question as that. But what he knew about his master, she would not just want the definition of the form or principle more of on the lines what he felt the idea was. What the concept was in his mind, he would rather show her with actions but not everyone could understand just based on movements even someone "close" to him. Another thing she had taught him over the years, but something he was still working on.

"If you don't want the just explanation but know more of my understanding of it. The way I think of it is, there are actions one can take, the way of peace or the way of aggression. Obviously the way of aggression is using ones strength and force to take the advantage in negotiations. While the way of peace, the opposite, using other means to solving a problem without the use of, well in the case of a jedi..." He said tapping his saber gently. "A blade can just be as powerful sheathed. Many occasions, harmony can be made with out the use of fighting."

He finished hoping he said things properly for his master to understand him another thing he knew about himself was his way of thing and doing thing wasn't exactly orthodox. That is putting it mildly. His though process was different than most padawans or rather most humans or to go as far to say anyone his age. He was quick to grasp the knowledge, the understanding, and the application in the field but he had a hard time finding a way to explain it through words as all kinds of thoughts juggled in his mind. One thing was certain about him though he was truly focused, truly at peace with himself was in battle, at least that was what he is used to thinking like.

(Hopefully this is a better post for you, kinda all over the place with explaining where they are and how he is now but yea, I hope it's better.)
