The woods are lovely, dark, and deep...

Location: The Gnost Dural
Objective: Rebuilding operations

The Gnost Dural floated above the brilliant green and blue hued planet that took up the entire viewport before him. Kian marveled at it. This was the third such trip he had made to the capital of the Republic Remnant, Ciomia. Kian still had not gotten over the beauty of the place. But he was also aware that that beauty hid a dangerous world.

And into that danger they would go today.

"It should be right about.....here." Jedi Researcher Pra'ct said walking alongside Kian and indicating a spot on the looming planet before them and then bringing it up on the holo. "That is where the storm patterns indicate it should be."

"And your sure about this?" Kian asked, though he only did so out of reflex. He had learned long ago that Pra'ct calculations were virtually always right.

"Within an acceptable degree of error, yes." Pra'ct said and Kian smiled beneath his mask.

"Very well." Kian said turning toward Gnost Karr who was busily typing away at a console in front of him.

"We've gotten permission to land on landing pad 13A." Gnost said without Kian having to ask. The two had begun to really develop the telepathic link that was common among force sensitive Kel Dor and often Gnost knew what Kian was about to ask before he asked it. "It is outside the city wall, they made it clear that we should be careful."

"They are really worried about us out in these woods." Gnost added turning to face Kian.

"For good reason." Kian said grimacing beneath the mask. "This planet is full of things that are capable of killing."

"Have the others been given the coordinates and codes to access the Gnost Dural?" Kian asked and Gnost nodded at him. "Excellent. They should arrive soon and we can have the meeting right here." Kian said walking over to the conference table and taking a seat.

"Prep the report on the fauna and flora of the planet. I'll want to go over the perils of the mission before setting out." Kian said and sat back to close his eyes and await the arrival of the other Jedi.

Not long after the arrival of Gnost, Jyoti and her party appeared in system aboard the Kitsune. The Silver Jedi had come to give their Republic counterparts a helping hand in establishing themselves. Even though she had long committed herself to the Silver Jedi as the Master of the Order, Jyoti loved the Republic and would do everything in her power to see it flourish as another beacon liberty within a turbulent galaxy dominated by tyranny.

However, if there was one thing she didn't love, it was the choice in setting.

"I suppose I'm just the odd one out," she told Valae and Charlie sitting on the bridge with her. "But I'm just not a fan of all the jungle planets like the rest of you seem to love. Call me crazy for not wanting to deal with giant man-eating tarantulas every day on Kashyyyk."

With a preference for much cooler climates, the Echani was already sweating in anticipation of making landfall. There was already a fair amount of sunscreen on her face and neck to protect her creamy skin.

"Let's see, Master Karr already beat us to the rendezvous point. I'll set us down next to the Gnost, then I suppose we'll go meet and greet."

Though it wasn't the first time any of them had crossed paths with Karr, this would be the first time meeting with the Republic Jedi in an official capacity. She found it to be a good show of support having the having both she and Valae make an appearance as the leading members of the Silver Order.

From a steep dive toward the landing pad from orbit, she leveled out near the surface and set the Kitsune next to the Republic frigate, the much smaller corvette falling within its shadow. Once landed, she began to gather her things and prepare to meet with her counterparts aboard the Gnost.

Charlie sat beside Jyoti and held her nose. The Master smelled like sunscreen and it was slightly off-putting. It partially smelled like some sort of cream that had some sort of oil blended into it. The oil reminded her of some terribly burn cooking she had when she was younger. Sadly, there was no escaping the smell, so she sat there releasing her nose and breathing out of her mouth. Her face wrinkled realizing her disastrous mistake.

Sticking out her tongue slightly she realized that the sense of smell and taste were linked to each other. So, if she smelled the strength of the cream, then eventually she would smell it. By breathing with her mouth open she was now tasting the full effect of the sunscreen. Closing her mouth, she sighed, the hope of landing was the only thing she looked forward to right now. Her short legs swung slightly trying to keep herself entertained, she kept her gaming device in her pocket and her snacks were tucked away with all the other equipment. All she had was herself to keep occupied. She listened to her Master, complain about the jungle and chuckled.

Looking over at the woman, the younger playfully poked fun. “I’m sure the giant man-eating tarantulas are more scared of you than you are of them. Also with that cream all over you – I highly doubt you smell like something edible.” Charlie shook her head and waved her hand in front of her nose. “You have nothing to worry about.”

Landing happened quickly and Charlie was gracious for it. She gathered her things and then waited a few feet from her Master. The greater the distance the less she had to smell her. At least when they exited she would be able to breath in fresh air and not the air that was cycled through the ship for them to breath. A part of her wondered if she should have participated in the sunscreen, but her skin wasn’t as pale as Master Nooran’s. Shrugging, she’d deal with it if she did get burned. Doesn’t’ seem like such a horrible thing.

Charlie waited for the Grandmaster and her Master to make the first move towards the other ship, she would follow happily along with a hint of caution. They were meeting other Jedi, but she still didn’t want to be unprepared.

Cassius Droma was sitting on the bridge, having taken up the weapons and comm station. It was one of those rare missions where he wasn’t piloting anything – not an A-wing, a U-wing, or even his precious Stardust. He still felt that compulsive need to be on the bridge, though, where everything was happening. As they entered the system, Cassius did a quick scan of the area, just to be sure. No threats.

He’d prepared adequately for the trip – his survival pack was sitting on the floor next to him. Inside were a multitude of rations, ice water, and anything else he might need should they have to survive in the wilderness for any longer than they would have to. There was also a rolled-up rain slick in case of bad weather, and a few things needed to make a shelter. A utility belt holding various tools, as well as his lightsaber, lay next to the pack. After living on the harsh world of Eadu for nearly a year, he’d learned a thing or two about survival, and to always be prepared.

As Jyoti made a remark about the jungle planet, and Cassius turned his seat so he was facing her. “I’m from Rinn, a frozen wasteland. I hate the jungle just as much as you do, if not more.” It was why he carried so much icy-cool water with him, and why his attire was made of very thin cloth. At least it wasn’t Deneba, where he had briefly stayed during his time with The Jedi Order.

When the ship settled down, Cassius stood, picking up his utility belt and clipping it to his waist. The A180 blaster that could usually be found on his thigh was nowhere to be seen – he’d told himself once again that he would try to stop relying on it. Not to mention that they were on a Jedi mission, and it would be nice to look like a Jedi as much as possible.

After shouldering his pack, he waited for Jyoti and Valae to take the lead, as he didn’t want to overstep his bounds.

Sitting placidly on the bridge of the Kitsune, Valae was enjoying the voyage from Kashyyyk to Ciomia. With hands folded and eyes closed, she might easily have been asleep. But really, she was just resting and preparing for the day. An eye opened slowly as Jyoti began to speak, and then a smile appeared on her face.

“…Tarantulas?” She echoed, shifting uneasily in her seat.

The thought alone was enough to make the Jedi healer’s skin crawl. Instead, she turned her thoughts back to the heat of Kashyyyk and other jungle worlds. It was truly nothing compared to her home on Tatooine, where there were sandy surfaces and dry heat. She missed it, even the sand. Deep inside, she still hoped that she would see her home liberated from the Imperials within her lifetime. But this thought she tucked away for later.

"I hate the cold," Valae replied bitterly in response to Cassius. Layers upon layers were always needed to keep the desert-born Jedi warm on such worlds.

A chuckle escaped at the comments made by Master Nooran’s new apprentice. Fixing the young woman in a sidelong glance, Valae couldn’t help but smile. There was something very likable about Charlie. Perhaps it was their shared love of snacks, a topic of bonding if ever there was one. It had long been her philosophy that food brought people together. And as such, the rucksack that sat near her feet had been prepared with treats for the day.

As their ship set down, she stood and placed her rucksack onto her back. It would be good to see Master Karr again; she’d only met him briefly on Ruusan. Along with greetings and assistance, today she planned to offer him and his republic fellows an invitation to visit Silver Rest on Kashyyyk.

“Well, shall we?” She asked, smiling.

The Watchman landed on the Ghost Dural . Belizarius heard that Ciomia was barely explored which excited him. He wasn't 100% sure about what his mission here was but it was an opportunity to learn and that was always welcome. After kicking the back hatch several times it eventually opened with a screech that hurt the ears of those around the ship. As he walked down the ramp Belizarius was sheepish and apologized to those around for the noise that had just occured... he REALLY needed to work on the ship.

Belizarius was nervous as this would be one of the few missions he'd have which was purely Jedi in nature. He had done plenty of work for the Republic but his main goal had always been in help the Jedi Order in achieving it's goals. He couldn't resist such an opportunity.

Belizarius entered the conference room and chose to stand at the table, he had been sitting for quite some time and needed to stretch his legs.
