After the larger shows she'd been doing lately, it was comforting for Diamis to book a gig at Keyaten. It was a small club, one she'd performed at a few times when she was starting out, and one where she knew the owner well. She'd pose for a few ads for the club, and she wouldn't have to pay any performance fees. Plus, it allowed her a safe testing ground for a few new numbers, like the one she was currently singing. It was slower than her usual fare, and much more sultry than she typically presented as, but it was a fun tune, and an interesting experiment nevertheless.

As she sang, Diamis glanced over the crowd, doing her usual few seconds of eye contact with folks who seemed interested in her. Lots of people were just chatting with their companions, others were solely eyeing their drinks. She glanced back over her shoulder, sending a small smile to a man by himself. She didn't know him, but it was always a good bet to smile at the ones by themselves. Maybe they needed it. Hell, it had gotten her a gig before.

It was a rare day off for Saul and he hated days off.

It meant that he had to sit on his ass and do nothing while all of the good missions get taken up by the rookies of the SIA. Foolish choice to put green boys and girls in when they barely got their feet wet. The SIA has gotten a little soft with their standards in Saul's eyes, Coruscant was just attacked two weeks and command had nothing for him? The agent leaned against the counter listening to the beautiful Chiss to sing her song. Well as bad as it was for the Galactic Alliance, it was 100 times worse for the Chiss having their home blown up by the Brotherhood on their way to the Core Worlds. It seems that trouble always followed the Galactic Alliance like a bad habit. When one Empire goes down another immediately comes to take its place and they are somehow even more demented than the previous one.

Taking a drag of his spicestick, Saul stared at the Chiss singer who gave her a small smile back. He didn't react but he was rather entharalled by the woman. Everyone has their story, and he wondered what was hers? Hell it probably beats being alone in the middle of a club just grumbling away. Then again Saul did like being alone but the prospect of being left out of missions after a major attack was irritating to say the least. It made his anti social ass actually want to talk to people. "This is probably a test of some sort." Saul muttered taking a drink of whiskey. He did hope that the Chiss woman would stop singing so he could talk to her.

If only Saul could be so lucky.

After one more song, Diamis was able to take a break, letting the band take center stage. She glided over to the bar, her red dress swishing against her ankles, just barely showing off her golden heels. She took her clutch purse from the Togruta bartender, and wrapped its strap around her wrist.

"Any updates?" she asked the bartender.

"Well, seems like you've got a fan," the bartender replied, nodding her head slightly to the right.

Diamis followed her gesture, and saw a human man nursing a whiskey, sitting by himself. She chuckled lightly, keeping her mouth behind her hand. She recognized him quickly as one of the people she'd given attention to during her song, so she wasn't surprised that his eyes had lingered on her. He was definitely military of some sort-- even just by the way he held himself she could tell. Still, she wasn't sure if that meant he was a danger to her or not. Only one way to find out.

She stayed at her bar perch, but gave him a slight wave before turning her attention back to her glass of Roidian wine.

The Chiss woman finished her song immediately causing Saul to return to converse with his two best friends: The Spice Stick and the glass of Whiskey. His eyes lasered onto the Holonet news about the destructive damage caused by the Brotherhood of the Maw, it was hard to believe that the SIA wouldn't have the agents investigate how the frack did the Brotherhood managed to get past the Core Worlds defenses. Something that the Sith failed to do in years. Then again the SIA probably did have agents, they just didn't want Saul to be involved. The Agent frowned taking another sip of whiskey, sure he fracked up the last mission where he allowed a man named: The Collector an infamous Smuggler of stolen goods, jeweler and popular business tycoon to get away.

The SIA managed to collect enough evidence to implement him in embezzlement but Saul was intercepted by his top guard a powerful Cyborg bounty hunter named: Mike. The Cyborg captured Saul, leaving another stain onto the Galactic Alliance. The SIA fought off multiple lawsuits due to trespassing, invasion of privacy and there were some business people who were wary of making deals with the GA. Saul failed for the first time in his career and it cost him dearly. From the injuries he received to the fallout by the SIA in his line of work one failure could mean the end of your time in the SIA. Saul shook his head and got up, placing his cigarette into his cover and grabbing his drink. Saul got his wish, the Chiss stopped singing and now she was waving at him as if motioning for him to come over here.

"Hey," Saul said in his guttural voice. "Nice singing there, mind of I sit down?"

Diamis sipped her wine, enjoying its slightly bitter taste. She only allowed herself one for any night, especially when she was performing. It was a nice luxury she awarded herself. The music surrounded her, and she allowed herself to close her eyes for a moment and breathe.

She glanced back over when she saw the man approach her with his drink, and smiled softly upon seeing him. "Feel free," she said, gesturing to the stool next to her. Her speaking voice was just as silky as her singing one, just softer and more controlled. "And thank you. Hope you enjoyed the show."

A smirk formed on Saul's face as he sat down next to the Chiss woman, he placed the small glass of Whiskey down on the table. Placing his lips on the glass, Saul's expected more Whiskey to wet his throat. However all he got was drops of ice, confused Saul noticed that there was only a little Whiskey left. Grunting, Saul motioned the bartender for a refill slapping sliding some credits to his direction. This is why he Saul drank from the bottle, he had a seemingly unlimited amount of access to alcohol. It was hard to get drunk through these ridiculously small glasses but Saul didn't bring his credit card with him and only had a few Credits in his wallet. What a shame.

"I enjoyed more than the music," Saul said. "I helped that the singer is easy on the eyes."

Well what a way to cut to the chase, Saul wasn't one for small talk but his overly blunt nature did cause a lot of major embarrassment. "Names Saul Colson." He said. "A drifter."

Diamis chuckled. He was blunt, honest, something she could respect. People often danced around their true thoughts and intentions, which was why it had taken her so long to study people. Amongst the Chiss, there was only bluntness, and they were able to see through one another's lies easier than other sentient races. Humans were an engima-- and they were everywhere.

"I could say the same about myself," she replied. "Traveling from place to place, wherever I'm wanted." She lazily drifted her hand side to side, clinking her long nails against her glass. "It's quite the nice life sometimes, isn't it?" She smiled, but her brain was going fast. What was he after? Was he really just a drunk looking for some comfort, or was there more to it?
