Th’edar Kolbert was born on Scipio the homeworld of the Muuns sixty years ago. The family lived in one of the trading hubs of the planet, in a megacity. The family is part of the wealthy elite. Th’edar grown up in a very wealthy and culture rich environment. He got the best education money can buy. Young Th’edar was naturally interested in economy, government, business, trade, and as every young person he was interested in the HoloNet. He graduated with good marks in Galactic Economics major. As a young muun he already developed a dualist personality, with some people he was kind, helpful, patient, with others he was arrogant, humiliating and profane. Generally he didn’t like people who had no idea what they were doing.
Thanks to the good connections of the family he started working as a technological officer at C Corp, a large tech corporation. Th’edar was not a tech guy, so he learned everything on the from with C Corp’s tech specialists, professionals and geniuses. He was especially interested in HoloNet graphical programming and networking. Of course he didn’t became a technological genius, but that wasn’t the point, he was in that job because he was the kind of manager who manufactures a human baby with nine mothers in one month. So he was getting the high salaries because he seemed quite profitably for the company. At C Corp he was just Th’erry Kolby, everyone could speak to him as his pal and just casually call him Kolby, but that didn’t mean they wouldn’t leave his office crying if they did something stupid. During the years at C Corp he studied galactic megacorporations. He carefully examined their logistics, divisions, strategies, structures. He made plans how to make a megacorp as powerful as a state, with covering the right sectors and markets, building infrastructures, building a coporate army etc, but his plans were foiled by an incident. One of the cyber security contractor firms of C Corp conducted a cyber attack on the company, it was an inside job, a sabotage. The attacked managed to cause great financial loss for C Corp by paralyzing its systems. The most irksome thing about the attack was that the attackers made false traces leading to Th’edar. C Corp fired Kolbert and made him a scapegoat for the attack. For corporations these are standard steps of damage control. Despite being fired from C Corp, Th’edar still got payed for another year and he got big parting bonuses too, to handle things smoothly. He spent the one-year vacation time quite productive. He wrote a book called “The Last Honest Muun”, in that book he told the tale of the incident in detail. He completely unveiled the machination of the security contractor, the way they committed cyber attacks and the process they made him the scapegoat for everything. The book was a great success, it was a best-seller for a long time.
Kolbert used his wealth to invest it and grow it and then later founded and built his own corporation. He founded K Corp, which was an information technology coporation at start. It designed and manufactured hardwares and developed advanced softwares for them. They delivered for every faction possible and designed their products according to the needs of the clients. With their consoles, computer systems and automated solutions a whole factory, base or starship could be controlled from one central control room. This was a very competitive advantage on the market. K Corp grew fast thanks to the technological-niche Th’edar found on the market and his talent in leadership position. After a few deals and big orders K Corp became a significant player. K Corp had unparalleled growth, fueled by tech mentality, huge profits and bleeding edge technological inventions, today this formula is called the “K Corp model” in some parts of the galaxy. As K Corp evolved into a megacorporation, Kolby’s influence grew. He was a good negotiator. Armed with two brains and hearts maneuvering the economic and political fields was not hard to him. Muuns are naturally antisocial and like to plan and scheme in backrooms, which is good for making plans for the megacorp, but a great disadvantage if you have to be a leading party of a free-trade talk or make a grand speech for the employees, so Kolbert had to overcome this huge obstacle too. By becoming a charismatic leader figure too Th’edar he quickly rose in popularity too.
After decades of hard work Kolby finally realized his old plans and dreams, and now he is a leader of a powerful megacorporation.
