Cerek Fyeluzhe

The thick of the jungle was deep, at certain points it was hard to tell if it was daylight . Cerek darted in between the trees moving as fast as his legs would go through the bush and branches ignoring the sting of twigs whacking his face. The air was heavy and humid putting more pressure on Cereks lungs, even though he was used to strenuous long runs the environment was draining his strength quicker than he would have guessed. Besides the bobbing and weaving needed to dodge the larger branches Cerek also was forced to evade the blaster fire not too far behind him. As agile as he was it was becoming more and more cumbersome to avoid the assailants on his tail. A blaster shot went directly over his head causing Cerek to dive down a small hill and roll into a stream.
Quickly recovering and leaping up to grab a branch to swing to higher ground and keep running. A flock of birds startled by the blaster fire almost knocks Cerek off balance but he manages to put his arm up and swat them out of his way. In the distance Cerek can hear the angry growls of his pursuers stumbling clumsily through the treacherous Jungle of Aaris III. The sun was starting to set which put unsettling thoughts in Cerek's mind . He had heard the rumors of what happened to the imperial science team and the creatures inhabiting the ruins of the old cities. Unfortunately Cerek was a long distance from his ship and with no one to support him the situation was bleak. The only stroke of luck was coming across the ruins of the old Imperial facility that was still somewhat intact.
"Huh well at this rate I dont think I have a choice, I need a rest bad and I'm in a bad position to fight without the legacies on me damn."
Cerek close in on the facility fast acrobatically leaping over rubble and ruin to get to the entrance. He quickly takes cover hiding from the assailants behind a damaged metal door barely clinging to the frame. The thugs chasing him temporarily lose the trail but they dont leave the area, being fully aware the ruins are the only place Cerek can hide. They fan out and begin searching for Cerek sounding even more frustrated than in the jungle chase, they likely knew what horrors could be waiting in the dark. Cerek quietly makes his way deeper into the abandon facility gaining some distance but something catches his eye. On the ground are what appear to be fresh muddy boot prints leading to a room with a light inside... someone else was there.
