Syris was beyond bored. Being a half-Corellian with just enough Felecatian in him to look like a furry addict's dirty fantasy annoyed him. As did being a waiter in some hellhole on the fringes of the fringiest part of Ord Mantell. He hated everything about this place, where even the women had a less than subtle trait of wanting to go back out and shoot things for fun. But at least he had a clear view of what he did want. Dreams of flying spaceships and shooting guns like the ones the soldiers used came quickly to mind.

All in all, the cat-man wanted out of his current life, and wanted to be in on the excitement and adventure that the idiots in holonovels engaged in.

She entered a bar and sat in a corner so she could observe the crowd, now most would cat call and such but she was 6'5 wore medium armor and had two sabres on her hips....most actually turned while some walked our

Syris sighed a little as he heard the door open, but then perked up a little as he saw the girl who walked into the bar. Wow, she was pretty. He got up to wait her table, but was almost immediately shoved out of the way by one of the other waiters. Goddammit. He got up from the floor and sat behind the bar again, pouring himself a drink as soon as the other employees weren't looking. Wasn't that just typical? His red jacket brightened up his face a little, but it wasn't enough to stop his sulking. Maybe the drink would help.

She watched a waiter come over and smiled then immediately friends seeing him pushed to the floor, stand up she met the new waiter with a fust sending him into a table"ferfek"sge said and went to the bar"you gonna wait me or not"she said in a friendly tone before going to set diwn

Syris gave the girl an awed look as she punched the other guy out. He passed her the drink he'd poured himself when he sat down.

"Y-yeah, I am. D'you want any food? It tastes like rotten bantha crap, but..."

He shrugged and sat down across from her, leaning his chin on his arms.

She stepped over the guy and sat down not even bothering to check to see if the guy was even awake....or alive for that matter

Yes please I'd love some food

She said as she took a drink of whatever he had poured

Syris didn't really move much, but gave a smirk to the guy on the floor, who was slowly picking himself up.

"Well, since you asked so nicely... And because you kicked somebody's ass for me."

He disappeared into the back for a couple of minutes and came back with a sandwich.

"All yours. Hope I didn't get any fur on it."

Syris smiled back at the girl and shrugged as he sat back down.

"It better be. Those are probably the only reason I haven't got fired."

"Well, not anymore, cat-boy. Wait until the girl's done, and then both of you get the frak outta my bar."

The half-Felecatian groaned as his boss walked away and poured himself a huge mug of beer from the tap.

"Well, that's that, then."

You coming because I'm sure you don't wanna be here"she said finishing her sandwich then taking the plate, she didn't like disrespectful people

Syris responded by just shrugging his jacket on before picking his drink up and walking past the Togruta girl.

"Yep. C'mon, you probably haven't seen the dingiest parts of this town, yet."

He nodded towards the door, still pretty bored with their surroundings.

"So excited. There's more nothing to do outside."

She grumbled and walked outside, well this place was ruined for her now

Listen uhhhh...catman....I've got a ship that I could use some help on....however its a dangerous job that I do

She said looking at him with a honest face

Syris raised an eyebrow at being called catman. Then he realize that he didn't know the girl's name, either.

"It's Syris... And I heard ship and job. You can count me in, but there's one problem..."

He visibly drooped a little as he drank his stolen beer.

"...I don't know how to do anything useful."

Syris perked up again at the girl's answer, and his tail wagged a little as she pulled him somewhere by the arm.

"So you want me to whine at you and make food. I can do that."

He grinned, showing his fangs.

"I should thank you for getting me fired, Saki. I hate it here."

She led him to a decent size cruiser

Well for now yes, but I'll be teaching you different trades others then cooking and serving, like uhhh how to shoot a nlaster orrr ....fly a cruise

Syris shrugged in answer to Saki's question.

"I've been in limbo for close on to seven years. Corellia had most of my parents' savings in hard cash on it. So, too poor to leave, too bored to keep a job."

He looked her up and down, and then did the same for her ship.

"You both look like scrappers, that's for sure."

Syris gave Saki a questioning look as he followed her into the ship.

"That was a compliment, Saki. You punched out a guy nearly twice your height in one shot. I totally believe you could teach me."

And the ship was better than good enough. A real Corellian beauty.
