There was no place for pirates in the galaxy. Pirates followed no code, they spared no mercy, they took what they wanted. And they were taking an Imperial Garrison. It was time to show the pirates the might of the Directorate. "Prepare to jump to hyperspace. Expect light to medium resistance." The captain nodded, and Renegade Squadron jumped into O'reen space. Several cruisers and corvettes were present. The pirate's forces were no match for the star destroyers of the Directorate. "Send a transmission to the pirate forces." The officer nodded, "Enemies of the Directorate, this is Grand Admiral Craig speaking. You have intruded upon a Directorate installation and have harassed Directorate forces. Surrender now and we will show mercy." Ben did not expect the pirates to surrender if even respond.

After a few moments of silence, the nearest enemy ship opened fire on one of the Renegade Squadron's battlecrusiers. "Contact sir!" Ben smiled, "Steady, inform Captain Nevos and Captain Kerred to fire three salvos of turbolaser to the instigator. Then send a transmission to the garrison commander informing him of our arrival." The officer nodded, giving out the orders. "Brigader General Milhas, this is Grand Admiral Craig from the Directorate. We are here to assist you ward off the pirate attack. I am sending reinforcements to the ground assault. You may command them as you wish. There however is a particular group that will be arriving to help, this is Task Force 66 of the Imperial Intelligence division, they are acting on their own. I will take charge of the naval assault - end transmission." Ben walked to the viewport, "Alert the reinforcements to prepare for the assault. They are to take a shuttle down. Send an fighter escort." Ben smiled, this would show the might of the Directorate

Outpost Alpha was located in a heavily forested area of O'reen. The garrison hadn't been caught by surprise, one of the day perimeter shift patrols, noticed the assault shuttles entering the O'reen atmosphere. By the time the pirates had landed and began to invade, the garrison was already deploying troops. Currently the army troopers had brought the fighting to the pirates, but the pirates were gaining ground, pushing the troopers back towards their base. Fortunately the garrison was protected by a DSS-02 Shield Generator and armed with turrets.

Kren was one of the members of Task Force 66. Of the task force members, he was probably the most removed from normality. He was from the remote and often isolated world of Vran'Ti, and had trained to extremes underneath them. The result was incredible skill with simpler weapons like knives, swords, and the like, as well as a very good knowledge of biology, but a very poor knowledge of many modern technologies. As a result he was probably the only one not armed with a blaster among them. Relying on his superhuman abilities and many throwable items to defeat opponents trying to keep their distance. His sword was strapped to his back as they travelled down.

Pirates. He held no natural view to them morally. However, as enemies of the directorate, he would treat them without a hint of mercy. This was his job after-all. They were being sent to eliminate the enemy after-all. He was formulating tactics in his head, remembering the training he'd gone through and doing his best to incorporate the types of weapons that most people made use of, blasters. He would likely not be the first to make a kill of the team. But once things got closer, he intended for that to change.

He would wait for the rest of the crew before they actually headed out. He would have trouble rushing the enemy alone, even with the other forces that were drawing their attention. He probably could do it, but it was more efficient to operate as a team then simply go for it alone.

Leenic stood next to Kren, dual-wielding his Directorate-supplied E-11s. He smiled as he watched the carnage around him and patted one of the thermal detonators that he had on his chest. "Now this is the kind of fun I signed up for!" He yelled, running out ahead of his squad and firing with both his weapons. When he was about 30 feet from the dropship, he used his Jetpack to take off and fly above the battlefield to get a better tactical view. He saw the shield and the wave of pirates moving towards it, and decided to fly over and give some close air support.

It took him about 30 seconds to reach the main defensive front, and when he did he dropped a thermal detonator into a group of pirates before landing behind friendly lines. He looked around for an officer but found none, and as such decided his work was better done on the ground. He activated his commlink to put out a call.
"Hey Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red , I've made it to the main base. I'll use my jetpack to provide air support over the battlefield, just point and I'll make sure it's gone!"

Outpost Alpha

While not the strongest outpost in the known galaxy, it was still the pride and joy of Grand General Corcad Milhas. To see the pirate rabble arrayed just outside the shield made the General sick. From his observation station on the front line, Milhas observed the movement of not only the pirates but also the sniper teams he had already deployed to strategic positions in the treeline around the shield. Through his macrobinoculars, the arrayed forces that had begun to bombard the energy shield seemed to be as poor a quality solider as one could find.

"Pirate filth, they attack my outpost and believe me to be a weak target?" While speaking to no one in particular, his aide moved to stand just behind the General as if he had given fresh orders.

"Sir, shouldn't we send the men forward?" A sigh passed Milhas's lips, before he turned to acknowledge is fledgling aide.

"No, the pirates have some grasp on strategy. The force out in front is only testing our defenses, the main body is hidden just beyond the those trees. They will just have to come to us and face a firing line. This isn't a battle, cadet. It's an execution." The veteran commander couldn't help but be as confident as he was at that moment. Though outnumbered, his soldiers had prepared for such an attack and were well trained in defense. Before him lay line after line of trench-works and bunkers, along with the scattered turbolaser cannons that would annihilate any pirate vehicles that dared to exit the protection of the trees.

Just when Corcad had begun to believe he would have no support in the battle, the holoprojector next to him burst to life as Grand Admiral Craig appeared and began to speak. He waited for the man who Corcad had come to respect finished his statement, before replying

"Copy Admiral Craig, it's good to have you with us." Once the image dissipated, the General added "Bloody navy, fashionably late as usual."

While the extra troops provided would certainly aid in the defense, General Milhas knew he would need one thing to ensure no such attack ever happened again. Raising his hand, he tapped the comm unit on his ear and began to speak directly to the members of Task Force 66, for he had the proper incentive to ensure they did as he asked.

"Task Force 66, this is General Milhas. I know full well that I have no authority over you, but I think it best if you could capture the pirate leader alive and bring him directly to me. Kill him if he proves to be to much hassle, just make sure the pirates do not penetrate the base shield."

Subject 73 Red

We're more ghosts than people.

Red ran across the hangar bay of one of the Directorate's Star Destroyers. He ran to a landing shuttle. His helmet was already on, his armor sealed tight, and he was packing heavy weaponry. He had a blaster rifle, two pistols, his lightsaber, a vibroblade, a rocket launcher, multiple thermal detonators, stun grenades, smoke grenades, knives, and poison gas. He ran into the shuttle. Multiple Directorate troopers followed after him, running to their respective shuttles rushing to find a shuttle and make it down to the surface. The doors slide behind him. The shuttle took off, and flew towards the surface. Multiple other transports followed after them. Then, fighter followed out after them. They headed down towards the surface. Red raised his commlink, first contacting his squad mates of Task Force 66. "I'm headed down there now. Hold position, eliminate hostiles until I arrive." Red told them, giving orders as commander of the group. He then received a transmission from General Milhas. "Acknowledged, General. They won't make it through. We'll take the pirate leader in." He replied to the General. Then, he turned off his commlink as they flew down towards the surface. Red watched as a transport was shot down by the pirate ships. Most of the fighters broke off to engage and distract the pirates, while the transports continued to fly to the surface.

Task Force 66, the elite special forces group Red, Leenic, and Kren had signed up for. Red joined it because he had been made to do that job. Literally, being a genetic experiment, he had been created to be a supersoldier. They had all been created to be far better than the regular soldier. They had been made to be soldiers, commandos, pilots, snipers, and assassins. They had trained since day one, since their mental abilities had been enhanced, they were born already learning, watching. They had been started off with the easiest things at birth, motor control, speech recognition, vocal abilities, hand-eye coordination, easy stuff like that. But as they continued on, it got far harder. He had been made for this job, so he entered it, because he knew it, and he knew he could be of help. Kren and Leenic would have also trained for this job for a long time, with Kren coming from a warrior race, and Leenic also. Red, Kren, and Leenic had gone through very similar experiences, they could all pretty much understand what it was like for the other. There were still plenty of differences in their upbringing, but it was still the basic concept: they had all been made for this. Red had physically been made for this, Leenic and Kren both came from warrior races, so they had also been prepared for this, and made for it. They could all take on armies alone, but together they were truly a formidable fighting force.

Red thought about his squad mates. Firstly, Kren. Kren was sort of bizarre, but a lot like Red. They had both been born on isolated worlds, and had to train to high standards and extremes. They both grew up isolated from the rest of the galaxy, so they both have trouble with social stuff. Still, there were other things about Kren. He wasn't really good at technology, and he rarely ever used blasters. Despite that, he was very effective with much more simpler and traditional weapons. Hmm, Red wondered if Kren could use a bow... He would have to figure that out later.

Then, there was Leenic. A Mandalorian. Also raised for combat. He was a good marksman and a good pilot. He can be, however, often times arrogant and stubborn, which seems to be a trait most Mandalorians share. Despite that, he makes a good soldier to have on the front. Like Red, he is also a well-experienced tracker. Red knew that some Mandalorians refused to take off their helmets in the presence of others, but Red didn't know if Leenic was one of them or not.

The transports approached the base. Red could see the shield around the base and the pirates attacking it. He could see the Directorate troops also defending the base, and he could also see the battle being fought. The pirates did have the Directorate's troops outnumbered, but with these reinforcements, and the Directorate's better trained troops, they should be able to win. Despite the storm troopers having better training, the pirates would still be a threat, with surprisingly good equipment and the sheer size of their forces, they had built up enough to seriously do some damage, if not win. Still, Task Force 66 was here to make sure that did not happen. The shuttles landed at the outpost. Red's shuttle landed, and the doors opened. Red walked out. He could see the other Directorate troops also moving out of the shuttles. He walked down the landing platform, and down to the ground level.

He made it to the ground, and ran for where the Task Force was. He made it over to them. "Alright, we all know our objective, prevent the base from falling, eliminate the pirate threat, and as a secondary objective: capture or kill the pirate leader," He told them. "Firstly, Leenic, not yet. Your jetpack will come in handy later, but right now there are too many pirates right now, and they are far better equipped. I would rather not have you get shot down." He told Leenic. He went over the facts in his head. So, if the pirates outnumbered them, and their forces had been pushed back to the base, the shield holding up, but currently taking fire, the snipers on the treelines around the shield, their number of forces, the trenches and turrets protecting the base, and the pirate strategies, Red devised a plan. "Alright, here's the plan. We're going to blow open a gap in their lines. We'll make a gap large enough for our troops and armor divisions to have a forward position to take and hold. If we can hold that, we'll have a beachhead in their attack, and we'll be able to coordinate more attacks and defenses. We'll create a diversion, sending in one man to grab the attention of the pirates, and to draw them in into one area. The other two will lye in wait, in the tress or concealed by the ground plants and terrain, to ambush the pirates. With our superior skills and abilities, we should be able to defeat them, and draw them in into an area where Directorate troops can take them, and establish a small beachhead to better forward the rest of the attacks on the pirates. We'll most likely on be taking on a small force of pirates, about 25-50, but still be prepared." He told them.

"I'll be the bait, I'll draw them in, you two will ambush them, and then we'll take them out. We have the superior might, and we can and will take them out. Understood?" Red said. It was his plan, and he was a Jedi, so of course he would be the bait. The pirates would jump at a chance to take out a Jedi, as probably some random Sith would pay them for them to kill a Jedi.

Red then contacted General Milhas again. "General, Task Force 66 is about to move into enemy lines to initiate an attack. We will defeat and weaken the enemy units in a small sector, and set up a clear area for our troops to set up a beachhead on the pirates. We will signal the troops when it is time to come. It will be a flare. Have them be aware that the area might not be entirely clear, and have them proceed into the area ready to fight." He informed the General.

Red turned back to his squadmates. "Any questions? Ready to go?"

Kren raised his eyebrows at Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil . He was a good deal more free with words than the Vran was. But, that was just how some people were. He couldn't really blame him for that. Besides, what Kren could respect was his skill. Both him and Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red were definitely proficient at what they did. Kren didn't like having to use commlinks for battle. He was used to there being a telepath as part of the main group, but he was willing to work with them as he was able.

They'd recieve further transmission from Corcad Milhas with his "advise" so to speak on what to do. It was, of course, a fairly good bit of advice. Though Kren also thought, so would just blowing them all up. However that would require a level of stealth he was not personally capable of. From there Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red would begin giving instruction. The Vran watched passively as he gave orders, but was taking it all in. This information was very important to the mission and he wasn't going to jeopardize messing things up. He wasn't in charge, so he would obey.

He was pretty sure he had it. Spear into it for allied forces to move forwards. Red would be bait next to pull out a group where Kren and Leenic were waiting, annihilate for further allies to move in. 20-50 were important numbers. Proper teamwork of the enemy was certainly a threat. However, Kren also took into account that most of these would be of the common species. If they were wookies or trandoshans, or armed as well as mandalorians, this would be very problematic. Kren however was armored, but he was also used to fighting in armor. And once he closed the distance he could screw them over and keep the group routed while the other two did things their way.

Now just a matter of questions before they leapt into the fray. Kren cracked his neck with a simple response, "I can ask as we go. I want to know if I should focus on picking them off or plowing into their forces when you bring out the group. If I plow there is a chance that some may attempt to just run. But if you can take those out easily then it is good." he said already preparing to sprint away once they moved forwards to attack, he didn't need to hear the answer while stationary, that just wouldn't be efficient. As he did this he started preparing his Vo, to strengthen his body. Making him not only even faster and stronger than the already elite trained Vran was, but allowing him to withstand much greater abuse and preform at extreme levels for longer periods of time. Although a Vo was limited in how much it could do for so long, Kren had trained his for many years. And was in that sense on par with many real trained force sensitive by the pure strength of the organ.

Soon, they'd get to see just how tough these pirates actually were.

Leenic heard the transmissions coming from every important person on the battlefield before acknowledging Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red . "Sounds good, on my way now." He said, taking off with his jetpack and flying over to where the rest of his task force was situated. He listened to Red's battle plan and actually agreed with Red's thinking, looking out into the fray of soldiers.

He understood basic tactics from his training as a Mandalorian, and so he could visualize (mostly) how it would work. He then looked over at Kren Kren and smiled underneath his helmet.
"You plow." He said, holding up his two E-11s. "I'll shoot!" He then crouched low into a running position and awaited Red's mark to go.

Now this was when he would get to earn his pay.
