There is always a beginning, even when it is a blade.

Ar’klim home.

The last few months had seen many things, many changes in the home of Jasper and Rianna. The dark cloud that had hung over the roof of the house seemed to finally move off giving them some breathing room. The Clan, the girls had come and stayed until their father had finally opened his eyes, and been able to sit and speak with them.

Rianna when Jasper rested would take time to continue to heal his spine, when he was sleeping seemed to be the easiest time he wasn’t fussing then about not being able to move around. She could see though that he needed something that would occupy his mind. It wasn’t good for him to sit for long hours. Before he would go to the fields, now he directed others to go to the fields. He supervised from a far.

She had an idea one that he might, or might not jump at. “Jas’ika I’ve been wondering” She walked over and then kneeled by his chair, taking one of the large hands into her own. “Are you feeling up to a trip?”

Some of their trips were always with ulterior motives. But not this time, this time she had a data pad, and a plan.
She looked up, anticipating his answer trying not to use her jedi skills to know his thoughts.

The distant sun peeked over the black mountains and had risen in the lavender sky. His tired grey-green eyes had been watching, waiting for the luminary to come and shed its warmth on the fields outside. He had looked at his sleeping riduur and smiled sadly still trying to find a way to convince himself he was good enough for such a woman. His hands lay on his lap and he sat lost in thought for a very long time.

Hours passed and he found himself still thinking of what to do next. Could he ever find a way to be even half the man so many seemed to think he was. It was true, Rianna was giving him his legs and body back slowly for his own sake, but to what end. The memories of what he had used his body for and the turmoil he had caused amwas so hard to bear.

He felt he approach and take his hand. He soft hand in his...that was how they had started...a held hand made her into the light of his life. Once again the hands held and he realized he could fell them. He focused and lightly squeezed her hand back and looked at her.

"Where did you have in mind?.

Rianna handed over the datapad, "What do you think of going to look for the Blade of Beginnings?" She watched his face to see what interest was there. She knew he was having problems still reconciling what had happened. No matter how much they all reassured him that they understood, there were still those outside of the Clan that did not, and were quite committed to killing him. Obviously she couldn't allow that.

It would take time but how much, and would they all survive it. Or would the efforts of single individuals find their way to their doors and bring the venom with them. She had heard him talking the other day mostly just outloud. He was thinking about a trial, and she was thinking of chaining him to the house.

"Have you ever looked for it before?"

He looked down at the 'pad and read the brief information on the blade she mentioned. He had never heard of anyone ever looking or finding the Blade although there were old histories of it. He looked with interest and the feeling of being useful was hard to resist.

"I've never looked, but I can't wait to start." He said.

It was a kindness that she still trifled with him, after all he had put her through. He had given her so little back for all the love and kindness she had showed him. He looked at her and offered a smile his eye glistened a little as he thought of how strong she was and how much she cared.

"I love you, ya know." He said his hand moving slow and clumsy toward hers, the result of her constant care. "You're all that's good in me."

"Yes I think we need time alone Jas'ika time" she reached over and touched his hand, "for us to spend together" like that had before their time together was precious to her, and she knew to him. Even with his doubts that bubbled beneath his words she knew

He said the words that always melted her heart, "I love you Jasper, for all of my life I will where in you say I am all that is good in you, you complete me balance me before all odds." She smiled then leaned over to give him a kiss.

Everything in time she thought everything in time.

"I will have the ship stocked and then we can leave a note, and begin" She wanted to see a little of the old flicker that use to shine out from his brilliant orbs.

"You be ready in...oh say a few hours?" She was ready to get off the planet, ready to see the darkness of space as they dove through it.

He smiled at the thought of being back in a ship with his riduur. The embrace of the infinite black with nothing between them and anywhere they wished but the desire to be there and time. He had missed the freedom of being an independent being. The idea of being trapped again and incapable of controlling his own body was strong and even if he had been not himself Rianna's ability to forgive was remarkable.

"I'll be ready Ner runi." he said as he allowed himself to enjoy the kiss. She was more than any man could deserve least of all him but he did love her an f in the end that was usually all that mattered.

Rianna made all the preparations what friends they had left had come over to help her stock and move, "How long will you be gone?" she was asked, "I don't know but will you keep an eye on the place, I don't know if there would be any other trouble" She hoped no one would burn their house down. But there were some that she thought might.

"I just want to take him away for a while let people forget, let him heal, help him to walk again." She looked at him there those black auros were there she needed to cleanse them away. And she would, it would take time, and this trip gave them time.

Rianna packed their clothes, and made sure they took with them the healing crystal so that she could continue working with Jas'ika. Dark eyes were always watching him, she could not help herself. If he had only seen her before, seen her crumble into nothing if he could have seen the reaction to the wound. He would not think her so strong in truth she was fragile watching him.

She worried over who might come, she worried that she might not get to him fast enough, she worried that he was thinking thoughts that would scare her to death....she worried about everything now.

"Cyar'ika are you ready to go flying" She had made sure that the hand controls were optimal so he could fly and she would co-pilot and navigate. She was walking towards him as the visitors all walked away, "just you and I...the things I can do to you" She tried to keep it light, funny, sexy. She went to his chair, "Shall I give your chariot a push?"

He watched her as she walked toward him. Those brown eyes, he never could get enough of those pools of radiance that looked at him from that pretty face. She stirred his emotions so easily with just a smile and a few words. It was so much more than he deserved, but then he had said that nearly everyday since they had gotten married.

"Am I ready, you may need to hold me back." he grinned up at her, and winked as she mentioned the things she could do to him, "You'll have to show me these things you can do, my memory seems to be a bit fuzzy."

He reached up took her hand and gave it a loving squeeze.

"Push away Cyar'ika, I'm all yours."

Rianna pushed [member="Ordo"] up the ramp into The Dancing Thranta "I guarantee that by time we get back you won't need this any longer, and I'm thinking we will have another surprise or two as well" Rianna grinned, leaning down she whispered things into his ear that only a riduur should hear from their riduur.

Within a few moments Edee was bounding up the ramp as well, no they would not leave their pet at home though space travel had only been done on small jaunts Edee seemed to like it. Truth be known Edee liked being with Rianna and Ordo they had raised her from a kit and though her wildness came through once in a while she was protective of them to the death.

"I have begun looking at a few places to begin looking I thought we would first go to the planet Ordo" She waited to hear what he would say as she moved him toward the cock pit.
"So everything on the Thranta has had a bit of redesign most controls are now operated by hand, so you can fly and I can navigate" She grinned, "Do you want to pilot Jas'ika?"

Ordo looked back over his shoulder. Was she serious? He knew her well, better than most he liked to think, and he knew she wouldn't say such a thing if it wasn't true.

"There's few things I want more than to be in the cockpit again." he said, "you being one."

He looked at the shipas she pushed him forward and noted it was just as she had said. The work she had gone through just to accommodate him was enough to warm any heart. She never ceased to amaze him.

"You're amazing. You know that?" he said as they entered the cockpit.

"I have had an amazing teacher" She smiled at him again, he had taught her a lot in the time of their marriage. He probably did not realize how much she had relied upon temple teachings, and the ways of the Jedi to lead her life.

But he had opened her eyes to show her that her emotions could be used and not cause her pain, not make her fall into darkness. She had a strength that only his strength and understanding gave her.

"When you get us airborne, I have brought along some strong tea for us, and we can discuss the first planet to investigate. This blade Jas'ika its out there somewhere, I wish my foresight would say YOU ARE RIGHT." She had made her voice a bit louder and with a strange accent as if her jedi skills had their own personalites.

She wouldn't be Rianna then, she'd be Sybil.

"Do you have any ideas about where the starting point should be?" She wanted his input, his thoughts, he had a keen mind that worked efficiently and saw things differently than she did. There could be a historical fact that she did not know, or had not considered that would change the projected path.

He smiled and shook his head.

"You did your share of teaching i think." he replied.

The blade of beginnings was something that had never been found and the galaxy was a very big place. He tried to think, no matter where they began it could turn up nothing but there had to be something to at least give a hint of where it could be.

"We can start on Ordo and then maybe Roon. When the Taung left Coruscant Roon was their first stop, but Ordo has been Mandalorian since before the republic so it's a good start."

He lifte s his hands as he got to the pilot's seat and began to turn on the systems. It was a good feeling and he loved it.

"Thank you again, Ri'ika. For everything." he turned to say.

"Ordo it is then Jas'ika" She looked over at him and could see how his pleasure at being able to sit in the pilots chair once again. this was the best medicine always to get him back to doing the things he loved, this little thing was nothing really.

It did her heart, her soul so much good to see him there a place he belonged how could he know the things that he did for her. They led a blessed life for certain even with all the danger, and trouble that had come their way.

"So the blade of beginnings if we can find it, it would be a great inspiration for all to be able to see it, touch it, and know it" she smiled. She looked over and put in the coordinates into the nav comp for Ordo.

"When you are ready, the ship's course is set, with a couple of stop points to check out the engines, and make sure all is as it should be. We can also do a little therapy during that time, if you are up to it"

Ordo smiled and nodded. He didn't hold out a lot of hope for unaided walking but if anyone could help him it was Rianna. He activated the ships thrusters and they were off. His hands moved over the instruments with the same practiced skill he had always shown and in minutes they were ready to jump to hyperspace. The stars turned into streaks of white brilliance as the universe stretched out before them and with a snap they were gone.

Ordo monitored the systems for a few minutes and turned in his seat.

"All set." He said to the lovely woman that spent her time on him, "we have about six hours until the first stop. I'm alk yours."

[member="Ordo"]

"All set, and six hours, well I can do a lot in six hours" She smiled, "like we can start with a massage of the neck, it will help the muscles, and at the same time I can try to work some jedi magic"

They had a long time ahead of them, as they were preparing to work on his muscles a message came through, a request for any mandalorian vessel in the area to make a sweep along the outer edge of mandalorian space.

She looked at Ordo, "So, want to take a side trip?" Hopefully they wouldn't find anything.

"Cyar'ika, if we're together what does it matter what we do?" Ordo said moving toward her again. How could he ever do without those beautiful brown eyes. He wondered if any other woman in the galaxty could ever do what she did. Gave up a life of leading Jedi, a life of royalty, moved to a foreign world, treated as her own adult children, and lived with him while he fought battle after battle. He dared the galaxy to produce a stronger love than they had.

He clenched his hands, a small miracle that she had done, and wondered if he would ever be able to do half as much for her as she did daily for him.

"Ready when you are, Ri'ika." He said smiling, "as much as i just -hate- a massage. I will try and endure. Let's make the side trip."

"There seems to be some odd activity near Yaga Minor if I am not mistaken that is near where the Remnant has settled" It was an uneasy feeling among them all to know that these little factions rested up against the borders of mandalorian space.

"I will reset our course" Rianna looked at the chart a single finger glided along the course to be taken from their home. "We will have plenty of time for massages" she smiled.

She had thought at one time there might not be time for anything, his still lifeless body as it came onboard the shuttle. The agonizing heart wrenching of having to watch him float in the bacta all the way from Empress Teta to home. If it had not been for the sound of the computer monitoring his heart beat there had been no sign of life from him. Did he know the relief that had come over her that day he finally woke up. It was hard at times to keep that passive face where he was concerned, where Ginnie was concerned.

Only they knew the depth of her emotions, but sometimes she thought the only one who noticed she went through any hand wringing, pacing, and sleeplessness was the force. To love someone was a gift, and they were both precious to her.

"So let us see about those muscles once you get us on course" She looked away her emotions rippled she could see goose bumps down her arms,
