The Catacombs - Under the Palace - Chasin City - Commenor

It was nearly dawn. Kay had troubles sleeping every now and then. The increase in Sith coming to visit her to strike an alliance gave her a hint of suspicion. Something was in the works. Tendrils of Darkness could be felt coming from great distances, winding their way to her small corner of the Galaxy. Even though they try to portray their friendliness to her, there were some that were a threat. She had to be ready if they chose to attack her and remove her from power.
So it was here in the catacombs that she continued her training alone. Droids and dummies were at her disposal. Sometimes she used her lightsaber, sometimes she just used a metal rod. Other times she used a blaster or the Force itself. Either way, she could do what she wanted.
In the Valley of the Storm, she had begun to learn to control the lightning in the sky, and to even draw it from herself and send it forth from her fingers. And that was what she was doing today, putting in some time to practice before her schedule was to be overrun with meetings.
Her eyes narrowed as she watched the protocol droid try to hide behind a pillar. The droid was slow, and one of these days she had planned to move up to an HK droid or something else of the sort, even one of the prisoners. But today it was the protocol droid. It's voice, it's fear of having it's program wiped was annoying enough to draw her anger. She thought back on what also made her angry, frustrated and even fearful. Like a surge, she felt the heat rising from her core and moving through her body to explode out of her outstretched hand. Blue lightning forked out from her fingertips, slamming into the droid and immediately overloading it's circuits. The droid cried out before dropping to the ground, smoke rising from it's crumpled form.
Kay wiped her brow and grabbed her water bladder, taking a much needed sip and a few minutes' break. It was then that she realized that she wasn't alone.
