Theres blood on the table... (Wide open)

Tortuga, yet again. Vassara found that she frequented this Pirate station in the old Black suns territory more often than not. The galaxy for a while had gotten smaller. More empires and cartels, fewer places to hide, and less lawlessness. Yes lawlessness. That's what she loved best about this place. Smack dab in the nest of a bunch of cut-throat pirates it was far fetched to run into johhny law, or any hired help looking for you.

"Ah come on now ya welps, bet I take ya!" One buccaneer roared to his fellow, over a spilt cup of liquor.

Vassara sat in the corner of the Drunken Freighter Cantina, shotgun slung across her back, two peculiar guns hanging from her hips. Somewhere in the folds of her dirty jacket was her lightsaber of course. Best not to let that show though. Her coat was black as night with red trim and fierce blue eyes pierced out from beneath her space black tresses.

Originally she had come here to search out students for training. Of course picking up the odd apprentice was not out of the questions entirely. But her mission set had a second purpose.

She was waiting for her contact, another man named sigmund. He was supposed to have arrived half an hour ago, with information\on on One Sith positions, and other nefarious whispers....

Tortuga seemed to be an interesting place. Lorane was a little bit puzzled as to why one would name their bar "The Drunken Freighter", mostly because there was no such thing as a drunken freighter, to the best of his knowledge. Not that he had a lot of experience with attempting to feed alcohol to starships.
The blue-skinned doctor shrugged and walked in anyway. The only seriously important thing was whether or not said bar sold alcohol. If yes was the answer, then the only important criteria was satisfied. Good. He sat down at the bar, briefly sparing a glance for the woman with the oddly shaped blasters before smiling at the bartender, a rather pretty woman who was eyeing Lorane's own slugthrowers. She smiled at him as he turned to her.
"Well, aren't you a handsome blue thing? You new here?"
"The answer is yes. On both counts. I am a handsome blue thing, and I am new here. You're an observant lady."
"Aww, flattery won't get you out of paying for your drinks, darlin'."
"Wouldn't dream of it. Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, if you can mix it."
"Oooh, you're crazier than the pirates here. I like you already."

Vassara noticed the Chiss enter and the bartender started to chat him up. She also tracked that several armed figures were headed her way and she felt a ping in the force. The first tip off was the way they looked right at her as they moved. The second? They had Sigmund in between them, no doubt with a blaster secretly to his back. She grinned a maniacal grin and slowly drew her Shotgun from its sheath at her back, pretending not to notice the thugs.

"Oy bartender, get me a double, Coreelian Whiskey!" She roared, acting overly drunk. It was a ploy, she would draw them in and then execute them. Hopefully Sigmund had enough brains to drop down low when the shooting started. A black clad finger tip slipped into the trigger guard and she waited. One hand on her Czerka shotgun, the other on her drink....

Lorane looked around as he heard a woman drunkenly yelling. He grinned as he realized that it was the oddly armed lady he'd seen on his way in... And she had her gun loaded in the hand that didn't have a drink in it. It was very possible that it was morally wrong, as a doctor, for him to approve of shooting people, but he could tell this was gonna be fun. He very carefully drew one of his guns out of its chest holster and cocked it as he heard people approaching the bar.
"You might have to hold onto that drink for a second, love. Seems like Doc's got a few patients."

"Ma'am stop right there. Imperial Intelligence!"

Vassara rose to her feet with a swift motion and drove the shotgun straight out in front of her. As the point thrust towards the first agents chest her finger squeezed back ever so gently. A slug left the muzzle with a crack that echoed around the bar, nearly blowing out her eardrums. Flesh exploded, bones fragmented and he was thrown to the deck via the force of the blast.

Vassara seized the initiative, giving the second man no quarter. As he moved the muzzle of his sidearm to target her, she pushed past Sigmund, using one hand to push him down to the ground. She had no time to cycle the mag and reload another slug, so the shotgun became her club. She flipped it expertly in her hand and swung, using the force to enhance her strength.

Wham!

The but cracked the man upside the head and the agent stumbled. She dropped the shotgun, and a Phrik fighting knife, ten inches long appeared. For a second she paused, noting the markings on the mans black suit as the bar burst into chaos. Patrons scrambled for the exits and some opened fire, mistaking the small incident for a bar brawl....

Lorane jumped into action a few seconds after the woman with the weird shotgun did. He heard himself laugh at the Imperial's announcement of his title, like that'd matter if he was holding somebody at gunpoint when the good doctor didn't like it. And he didn't like it at all. Bullets flew from the Chiss' two guns, killing the agents nearest him, and a third one that seemed determined to jump into the line of fire.
And then there were the other smugglers. Four of them were dead before Lorane had to reload, and he kicked over a table to block himself from any stray blaster bolts before looking in the direction of the woman again.
"Ah, isn't this fun? Chroma Zed muscle's got nothing on this batch of morons!"

[member="Doctor Azure"]

"I'd agree!" Vassara shot with a cheerful smile.

This is why most Jedi hated her. Her willingness to kill. In fact she did not feel any remores for killing when it had tobe done. By the same token she did not utilize any of the darkside, but rather, walked the thin line between the two sides. Especially when she slipped into her foavrite ability, battlemind.

The knife plunged down, openinga gash along the mans back and slicing the nerves along his spine. With no back muscles he wouldn't be giving chase. Vasra crouched, her hands running expertly through the agents pockets, snatching up credits, discs whatever she could find and stuffin them in a satchel on her belt. A new addition to her kit, usefull.

She glanced up, sapphire eyes piercing the smoky fog ogf combat and let her consiousness slip into the fore. Her sense expanded, time began to slow. It felt as if she was a hot knife, cutting through thick butter. She was faster, stronger, more aware. She felt the thunbderous roar of her beating heart and felt the power of the darkside calling....

"Looks like it might be time to leave Doctor!" She roared. In her hand she produced a single metallic cylinder. She hadn't wanted to use it, but it looked like she was out of options. You cant dodge blasters forever.

"Sigmund, you have my disk?" She asked.

The scared fellow agent nodded, pressing it into her outstretched palm.

"Good work buddy, try not to get captured next time."

Then she stood, still faster than everyone else. There was a buzz and a hiss and the Orange burning blade of her Saber sprang to life, coming up diagonal across her body in a natural defense. e door was blocked by a mass of stinking tangling fighting pirates and like minded sum. something she could not abide.

"Alright then! Who's first!"

"Yes, I believe we've gone and overstayed our welcome... And probably somebody else's welcome, too."
Lorane watched with interest as what he'd thought was a grenade when the woman pulled it out activated and turned out to be a lightsaber. He grinned and went back to picking off the morons in front of the door, taking a swig of the Gargle Blaster, then looking back towards the space-witch.
"What, were you planning to stand there looking pretty with your space-witch glowstick? Kill somebody!"

Vinskk woke up with a start, scattering the empty glasses and bottles on top of him. "What the hell is going on...", he drunkenly hissed. The Trandoshan saw what looked like a full-on battle in front of him. That blue-skin looked exotic, downright rare. He'd be worth a lot of credits to the right Hutt or whoever. Was that a lightsabre he just saw swinging around? Vinskk growled and sat up. Jeedai. Great. But there was something different about this one. Maybe it was the guns slung on her, or the way she was happily killing the poodoo out of whoever the hell she was fighting, but she wasn't an ordinary Jeedai, that much was evident. As Vinskk reached for his wallet, a stray shot nearly took off his head, striking the wall next to his reptilian cranium. Vinskk hardly even flinched at this, too relieved that his wallet and his gun were in place. But his attention quickly turned back to the fight in front of him as Vinskk unholstered his modified Sith carbine and unhooked a thermal detonator from a chest strap on his leather armor. He could feel the alcohol fading away as his muscles drew on saved solar energy. The Trandoshan took aim, but pondered ever so slightly which side to help. The different Jeedai and the blueskin, or the humans, obviously agents of some sort by the weapons they carried and the way they moved? Hesitating for a moment, the Trandoshan took a shot at an agent. Bullseye. The human's head exploded like a ripe fruit. He took aim and fired at the next one...

Vassara noted a new figure, exploding heads in the crowd. A lizard like being. She decided not to slay everyone in her path, but instead pushed forwards, using the force as her bludgeon. Anyone that got in her path was shoved aside, slammed into the crowd and hole began to open up. She parted the sea of pirates with Zeal, sending bottles, tables and bodies smashing towards the walls.

One step at a time the chasm was crossed. The agents came on sometimes managing to penertate the thick crowd. Vassara aimed two flourishing strikes at the first, severing both hands andispatching him with a force punch to the face. She snarled as the soun d of bone crushing marked his debilitation.

Two feet from the exit another agent came at her, this time with what looked like a force pike. The thrust was ill timed, she stepped back and kicked up with her boot, sending the force pike flying towards the ceiling. A quick thrust of her own blade pierced the agents leg and she twisted her body, finishing with a second kick to the same leg. The agent toppled into a heap and she calmy strode over him.

Once she reached the door the saber deactivated, dissapearing again. Into her hand flew the brown cloak of nearby pirate, ripped from his frame. She \cast it over herself, as a quick disguis. Deft hands retrieved her shotgun from its sheath, cokcing it with a signature click!

"Still with me buddy?" She asked Azure, not even knowing his name.

"I got work. You look like the type that does work. Interested?"

The chaos was beggining to spill into the hall ways of the station. They would have to move soon. Two more black clad egents appeared now, but this time, with force pikes and strange shields.

"Looks like the Sith dont like to give up secrets so easy!"

Yes johhny law had finally caught up with her. Question was, what was the Trandoshan going to do? Would he follow, in hopes of payment and new allies, or try and capture her? After Vassara was awanted woman. Like seventeen death warrants wanted.

Vinskk had no clue that this Jeedai, whoever she was, was wanted, but after seeing the awesome display of murder she committed...even if he knew, the Trandoshan probably wouldn't have cared. Now this, this was a human who could fight! He could've cared less about the fellow Human with her or the blueskin anymore. Rolling to her side, the Trandoshan threw a thermal detonator behind the Imperial agents, instantly exploding as it made contact with the floor. The two men with Force Pikes and shields were incinerated, only chunks of their armor and gear left. Allowed a brief moment to speak, Vinskk said,"Trandoshan is Vinskk. Vinskk is slaver. Maybe you heard of Vinskk. Human Jeedai is a true warrior, not like coward Jeedai who use words. Vinskk wants to fight with you, Human. Trandoshan looking for good fight. Too long since Vinskk has shed lots of blood." The Trandoshan blinked at her allies and pointed his gun at the doorway with one claw, seemingly shooting at nothing. Before the bolt exited the doorway, however, it struck what seemed to be an invisible object. A cloaked figure seemingly came out of nowhere right where the shot landed and fell to the floor, his stealth field generator destroyed. The Trandoshan gave a little tilt to his head and bared his teeth at the female Jeedai in what was meant to be a sneer. "Trandoshan sees what human cannot..."

Lorane smiled as the Trandoshan spoke, and then turned the grin on the space-witch. And then noticed the man with the knife coming up behind the big lizard. A bullet to his head, and the idiot was down. The Chiss' smile turned into a sarcastic smirk.
"And Chiss sees what Trandoshan doesn't have eyes in the back of his head to deal with."
He looked at the space-witch again, gesturing towards the guy she was half-dragging as he stepped forward and drew another slugthrower, firing both at once to deter the Imperials from coming too close to him. It didn't work, but three of the agents crumpled with bullets to their heads or legs.
"Don't call me buddy, glowstick. My name's Lorane Azure. Call me Doc, if you wanna."
Both his guns clicked empty, and Lorane holstered them, feeling for another one. The only other one he had on him was loaded with kolto bullets. A rather large Nikto pilot bore down on him, and the Chiss just barely slid out of the way.
"Son of a queen!"
[member="Vassara Raxis"] [member="Revamp"]

Vinskk clicked at the Chiss doctor after the assassin with a knife went down behind him. His sneer turned back into his usual 'pissed-off Trandoshan' face. "Vinskk saw that coming, blueskin. Trandoshan about to attack." As the Chiss reached for a new gun, the Trandoshan saw the Nikto pilot coming for the doctor with a rather nasty expression on the the alien's already nasty face. The blueskin was completely unprepared to counterattack, but Vinskk had the advantage of being farther away. The Chiss evaded the Nikto, sliding to the right, while the attacker kept on barreling forward, his large body having trouble halting his momentum. He was now directly in front of the Trandoshan, and now had a worried expression on his face. Before he could stop, Vinskk stuck out his free clawed hand, tearing straight through the Nikto's cheap, light armor and goring him. The huge reptile then bit out the pilot's throat with his double row of razor sharp teeth, spitting the meat to the ground while simultaneously dropping the now dying Nikto, leaving him to quickly bleed out and die. The Trandoshan looked at the Chiss and bared his teeth, revealing flesh stuck between the shredders, his blood-splattered face giving way to a sneer once again. "Blueskin should have become dancer instead of warrior. Let Vinskk do Trandoshan job while blueskin dances away, yes?"

The hallway was beginning to fill and choke the place for oxygen. Vassara knew if they didn’t escape now, they might not ever. Once pirate brawls went station wide it usually took a few days for the place to calm down. Especially once more crews got involved, good go pirates would be slaying each other for days here.

"I appreciate the help green man, but we all gotta go. So if you two are done, we all gotta bird to catch."

Vassaras shotgun came whirling up ont her shoulder and her palm shot straight out. A telekinetic blast escaped, the force rushing in like a river, and the hallway once again was chaos. Bodies flew back from where she aimed the blast. Bulkheads splattered with blood. the smell of burning flesh, the roar of the savage marauders as they cut each-other to bits.

Vassara still in battlemind felt every detail as if were a cannon hitting her in the face. She stepped slowly in her mind, but in realtime, it was a mad sprint through the small hole she created. The shotgun came back down as they neared the turbolifts. Almost there, just one more.

But it was dead end suddenly. A massive massive Rancor suddenly burst through the wall, riping steel beams and shattering the plating. Vassaras jaw almost hit the floor for a split second. On the other end of the chains connected to the beast was a pirate crew she recognized. The Blazing Chains...

"Oh, frak."
Just had to bring a rancor to the space station, huh? Just had to let it go rampaging through the walls, huh? Bunch of fucking morons on this pirate station. Didn't they know that the stupid thing would tear a hole in the hull at some point? Lorane very quickly reloaded one of his guns and aimed it at the monster's knee. The bullet penetrated into its leg, but didn't snap anything. And now there was an angry rancor walking towards him.
"Frak, frak, frak, frak, frak!"
[member="Vassara Raxis"]

Vinskk's jaw dropped at the size of the rancor. It was massive! Vinskk had experience taking down these kind of creatures before, but with better equipment and more hunting partners. Still, if he was able to best it...who knows how many points the Scorekeeper would see fit to give him? He needed help though.

Scanning the environment, the Trandoshan noticed a broken steel girder, created by the entrance of the beast, precariously loose, broken to a point. He pointed to the ceiling where the girder was sticking out of the wall and yelled out, "Jeedai! Trandoshan will distract rancor. Jeedai will pick up steel beam with magic Force and run it through rancor." The Trandoshan didn't even wait for a response. Vinskk just charged into battle, nailing a couple of pirates who were emerging from the gaping hole in the wall. The beast's handlers? He didn't know about pirate gangs too well. But he did know when someone was trying to kill him, and right now they were doing just that. Shots flew wild around Vinskk as he flung a concussion grenade at the rancor. No sooner had he done this when a shot to the shoulder floored the lizard, scorching his armor and damaging his flesh while knocking him to the ground. The grenade sailed through the air and detonated right in the face of the rancor with a bright bang. The beast flailed his arms around and howled in rage and fear, unable to see. The Trandoshan began to crawl backwards, returning to his allies, while still facing the beast. "Now, Jeedai!", Vinskk yelled through clenched shredders, in obvious pain.

Vassara cursed under her breath. The Rancor was giant. Doc had attacked it, the grenade had exploded in its face. She wished she could pick up the steel beam with the force, but she was too deep in battlemind to divert more focus. Even a force user had their limits. Now she strode into the action, in her mind slow. Each step was calculated as she tracked and plotted everything.

First step? Get the lizard free of the killzone before he became squashed like a bug. The rancor was flailing, blinded and its claws gouged the deckplates, tearing steel with a raucous sound. With clenched teeth the spacer advanced, blasting slugs into the chest of two nearby pirates. They fell to the deckplates with holes the size of fists still smoking.

Vasara fired again and again. Tungsten slugs whistled and whirred into the beasts knee, effectively blasting flesh and bone. Heavy rounds did good damage, why she always chose them instead of scatter. She managed to reach Revamp and crouched slinging the shogun into its holster and lifting him by his harness with one hand. In the other her silver hilted saber appeared, flying into her outstretched palm.

She pushed Revamp back behind her and stood before the Rancor. The Orange blade sprang to life, savage glow reflected in her icy blue eyes. There was a second where everything stopped. It was her, a small woman standing before a raving massive beast. And then the tension snapped. With a grunt her legs collapsed into a squat, and suddenly extended flinging her clear into the air.

End over end she spun until her feet connected with the ceiling and her core muscles strained. They burned and cried out for relief as she flipped again, coming straight down onto the
Rancors neck. Now her shotgun flew back to her off hand, as she straddled the beast. Her saber worked an orange tracer pattern up up and down the sides of the beast, deflecting stry bolts as she pressed the shotgun deep into the rancors skull.

"Hold on guys! It's about to be crazy!" She roared.

But another obstacle presented itself. From the corner of her eyes she could see blazing purple and green sabers ignite. Of course, for a moment she had forgotten. Blazing Chains were no ordinary pirates, but Dark Jedi, users of the force.

"Frak." She muttered, slipping her finger onto the trigger.

"Here goes."

And she squeezed...

So a rancor enters a space station...
Any other time would've been a good time to joke but when your enjoying a drink and all of a sudden a frakking rancor comes through a wall and causes your drink to spill well nothings a joke then

She stood and drew her blaster pistol as bolts started flying around, she flipped the table and peeled out as she noticed the rancor going for a chiss, trandoshan , and a human? She couldn't quite tell but they were in poodoo

She got up and fired at the rancor telling"hey stinky face over here"she yelled them thought, stinky face? Was that the best you can do
[member="Revamp"] [member="Doctor Azure"] [member="Vassara Raxis"]

The Trandoshan hissed at his wound from the safety of cover behind a table. Nothing major. Just some skin torn and roasted, some flesh burnt and blackened. The flesh would regenerate over a couple of nights and the skin would heal next time he shed. Shots pinged off the metal table, almost causing it to hit the Trandoshan's head as he peered up, checking the situation out. The Jeedai was charging the rancor, while shots from a Twilek glanced off of it's skin, not really doing much. Ditching his cover, Vinskk, with his operational arm, gunned down a pirate that was about to shoot the green-skinned Twilek from behind, then ran next to her as Vassara jumped onto the rancor. "What is karking Twilek doing? Vinskk thinks Twilek should come with Trandoshan. Join allies." He gestured towards the Chiss taking cover on the other side of the cantina. Running back to cover, he joined Azure and waited to see what she would do just as Vassara was about to pull the trigger...

She looked at the trandoshan and watched a bolt pass her head and then she looked to see a pirate fall"thanks scaly "she diverted attention away and started shooting some pirates " well given our situation I've got no choice then to help you guys out" she followed the trandoshan and looked to see flashes of sabers"oh boy this looks good"she said before throwing her cloak down to reveal medium armor on her, two saberd on her sides.

Though what would be off was she looked small but the armor was big but she moved in it without being held back"well lets do this"she took her sabers off her belt and ignited them a red and green flash as she blocked a shot"stupid pirates
