OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a fabric material that helps regulate body temperature.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Textile
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Color: Gray base color, can be dyed many colors
  • Resistances:
    • Energy: Low
    • Kinetic: Low
    • Lightsabers: Low
    • Elemental: Very High
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • When thermal regulation fabric is exposed to the cold, the fibers of the material expand, creating thousands of microscopic pockets that trap heat generated by the wearer. When exposed to heat, the fibers of the material shrinks, allowing more airflow through the material.
STRENGTHS
  • Temperature regulation: Thermal regulation fabric is excellent at helping the wear maintain their body temperature in even the most extreme conditions. With the ability to expand to form pockets that gather warmth in climates as cold as Hoth, or shrinking to allow airflow on planets like Tatooine.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not meant for combat: Temperature regulation fabric was never designed for combat. Instead of needs to be paired with or layered on other materials designed for protection.
DESCRIPTION
Temperature regulation fabric was designed with the simple purpose of regulating body temperatures. Whether it's extreme cold or blistering heat. When exposed to cold air, the fabric expands creating thousands of microscopic air pockets that collect heat generated by the wearer. The reverse is true when exposed to heat, the fabric shrinks allowing for more airflow and heat to escape. The fabrics ability to expand and contract definitely across its surface allows it to regulate temperatures accordingly.
