Rawnie Tal'verda

Tal'Verda Aliit'buir
Mandalore, just outside of the Tal'verda village

Rawnie stood still as ice, back up against Bluebird. Zandra'd asked her for a favor, but Rawnie still wasn't sure why the old hag wanted some spoiled rich kid to tag along with her during her hunt. Surely, she wasn't trying to set her up with this guy. Not some prissy pretty boy from Naboo. He probably had soft hands and manicured nails.

Rawnie had her helmet tucked under her arm, her white and ice blue armor nearly invisible in the snow. All around, flakes of snow swirled around her. Not ideal conditions for hunting, but she'd worked in worse. The wind picked up some, blowing her scarf past her face. The same scarf she'd used to clean Loranes cut with not too long ago. It was still stained...

She was smiling. She was often smiling around him, or even just when she thought of him. No. No. She had to stop that. There would be plenty of time for that when she got back. They could warm up on the ship together, after she brought her kills to the village. With any luck, she could avoid her brother entirely.

Of course, that was assuming this prissy boy didn't ruin the hunt for her.

Striding through the cold wind as it whipped at his face like a burning wire as it ruffled his blond hair into an even bigger mess. Scowling as his jacket was whipped around his chest, fighting to be pulled away from him and carried of into the wind, Ydrin cast his purple eyes around, searching for the image of the woman he was sent by his Captain to meet, Rawnie Tal'verda, the Captain's daughter apparently.

Finally spotting the figure of a woman dressed up in armour that caused her to blend into the surrounding white area of snow as it whirled through the air. Reaching up to grasp at the chain of his hourglass necklace, Ydrin approached the woman, the heavy weight of his rifle resting on his back.

Coming to a stop before the woman, cloths continuing to be pulled at by the wind due to him keeping them loose, Ydrin smirked at he woman, one brow lifted. Crossing one arm across his back and one across his chest, Ydrin bowed sharply and shallowly. "Rawnie Tal'verder, I assume?"

The blonde looked up, feeling... less than comfortable around this new face. Ugh... meeting new people made her feel so anxious. What was mom playing at here? She pulled at the white fur hanging from her shoulders like a cape, twisted her loose scarf around her neck once more.

"Su’cuy," she greeted, looking this boy up and down, "Tal'verda. Yeah. You must be [member="Ydrin"] ."

He... really did look spongy. Soft. She bet he would bruise if she pinched him. And mom wanted her to take him hunting? Was she senile? Or did she have something else in mind here?

Lorane found himself wondering who Rawnie was going hunting with... Wondering hard enough that he'd put his coat on, strapped his guns on, and walked out of the ship. His red eyes widened when he saw who it was. What in the living hell was Ydrin doing on Mandalore? He walked up and poked Rawnie in the side.
"I actually know this guy. Heya, Ydrin."

"Tal'verda. Right." Ydrin repeated after his fellow blond so as to correct himself and hopefully prevent himself from making the mistake again. "And, yes, I'm Ydrin." He stood there for a moment, gathering his thoughts. Just as he opened his mouth to speak again, a familiar voice cut through the air, stealing what he was about to say straight from his mouth.

Turning the purple gaze of the young ex-noble landed on the form of a Chiss he recognized easily. "Doc Lorane." Ydrin offered a rare smile that pulled at the corner of his eyes. "Good to see you again, my friend. How have you been?"

Not waiting for a reply, Ydrin turned back to Rawnie and cocked his head as a new thought seized his attention. "And what should I call you, Ms?" A new train of thought suddenly started, causing him to blink. "And may I ask what your relation to Lorane is?" His face was kept blank and emotionless while curiosity seemed to drip from his voice.

Rawnie smiled behind the secrecy of her helmet when Lorane came by. Oh good. So they knew each other. That would save time then, skipping introductions. They probably met through mom somehow. She picked up her bow, checked her arrows under the fur. She had twelve. More than enough.

"Call me Rawnie. Just Rawnie," she answered stiffly, but then almost immediately coughed and stumbled at his next question. "We're...."

She wanted to answer, but the truth was, they'd never really discussed what they were exactly. It all seemed like an unspoken vow had been taken between them though. An understanding had somehow been reached. But she didn't want to answer for Lorane, unless she had somehow misinterpreted. She did that sometimes.

Lorane's expression turned into a nervous smile. Nobody had ever really called him and Rawnie out on labels. They... expressed their affection for each other pretty obviously, and they shared a bed most of the time. A lot of their 'dates' consisted of shooting things and then coming back to the ship and passing out on the couch. What did that even mean? When he answered, he stuttered worse than Ydrin.
"Um... W-we're... Rawnie's... Er..."
Lor both mentally and literally facepalmed. He knew what he wanted to say, and he just had to say it.
"She's my girlfriend. We just... shoot things instead of going on dates."

An amused smirk curled at the corner of his lips, as he watched both Lorane, who he had never really know to be so flustered, and Rawnie, who he guessed had never really acted as she was now based on her profession, reacted to his simple and, all things considered, innocent question.

"D-Doc, n-never h-heard y-you s-stutter b-before, th-that w-was a-almost a-as b-bad a-as m-me." Ydrin's voice was seeped in amusement, as his eyes seemed to shine momentarily with mirth before his expression cleared, returning to the regular mask of emotionlessness.

"S-So," he clapped his gloved hands together even as his coat started to whip around him again as the wind picked up speed and ferocity, "w-when a-are w-we g-going h-hunting? O-Or h-has th-there b-been a-a ch-change i-in p-plans? A-Am I-I b-being p-provided w-with th-the f-free e-entertainment o-of w-watching y-you t-two s-stumble o-over y-your w-words, i-instead?" As he finished speaking, Ydrin titled his head to the side slightly, a look of innocent curiosity in his eyes.

Oh sweet Lady of Luck, guide her trough this. She narrowed her eyes through her visor, watching Lorane stumble his way to an answer. The answer to the question she'd been wondering herself. What was she to him? Well, now she knew. His girlfriend. It made her blush and smile, but you wouldn't know it by the sound of her voice, so distant and icy.

"If we're finished?" she looked pointedly in the direction of [member="Ydrin"] as if blaming him entirely for this momentary distraction, "We're going to scare away the game with all this chatter. Lor'ika-" she used the affectionate title for him openly now, "if you're coming, I recommend you bring something that makes little noise."

She gestured to her bow as an example.

"And you," she turned her attention to Ydrin once more, "What do you have?"

[member="Doctor Azure"]

Lorane fished through his jacket, smiling as he did so. Making Rawnie a bit more comfortable around other people was a bonus, but he mostly felt good about being able to say that she was his girlfriend. While he thought about this, he brought out a pair of repulsor throwing razors and grinned at her.
"I'm all good for silent weapons.
[member="Rawnie Tal'verda"] [member="Ydrin"]

The blond male let Loran answer first as Rawnie's attention was on the Chiss at that moment. When it returned back to him, he shrugged his right shoulder slightly before answering. "C-couple o-of th-throwing kn-knives a-and X-Xry, h-here." He reached over his shoulder to pack the stock of his slugthrower rifle where it extended from the protective covering that was hiding the rest of the rifle from view, protecting it from the cold environment. "Sh-she's s-silenced th-though. O-other th-than th-them... n-not m-much e-else. W-will th-that b-be a-a p-problem?"

If Ydrin was to be honest, he was not very skilled in wielding many weapons, preferring to focus in on the few that held his passion, sharpshotting and throwing were all that really interested him, although he had been thinking of returning to sword fighting.

The blonde sighed, reached back once more to check her arrows then turned away.

"Good enough."

She whistled, and seemingly out of nowhere, the floppy, old strill, Lord Cabur, bounded out of a snow drift.

"Cabur- oya'karir!"

At the command, the strill sniffed the air, growled low, and ran ahead faster than Rawnie had seen him go in years.

"Follow the strill," she commanded, "He's old, but he's a better hunter than either of you."

Lorane gave Rawnie a teasing grin and kissed her on the cheek through her scarf.
"As you command, Miss Snow Leopard."
He gave her hand a quick squeeze and started off after the strill, pulling out one of his razors.
