Theta Red is the developed and distilled form of Alpha Red II originally created by the Star Cabal then researched by Titan Industries and Rythana Labs.
Whereas Alpha Red was developed and created as a weapon of war, destruction, and annihilation, Theta Red was developed as a means of defense. The concoction, as stated above, was originally developed by Titan Industries through the distillation and manipulation of Alpha Red II produced by the Star Cabal. The synthetic compound was created at the secret Redoubt Station by [member="Ina'nai'sabosen"] where she worked with Titan's top scientists.
Theta Red, quite simply, could be called a Vaccine.
Alpha Red actively works to spread and infect others, it kills and mains and begins to destroy and attack the system at an almost instantaneous instance. Theta Red works entirely different. The Compound was developed to act as a defensive mechanism against invasion from outside of the body, similar to most species own immune system. This antigen effect of course, compounds and focuses on the addition and introduction of Yuuzhan Vong bio-technologies into the body.
Quite simply put, Theta Red attacks and destroy Yuuzhan Vong Biots placed within the systems. In this way, Theta Red could be considered a Vaccine against Yuuzhan Vong Biot intrusion into the body.
The compound works in similar manner to the Original Alpha Red and like its predecessor Alpha Red II is a more refined version of the original serum. The Compound lays dormant within the subject once injected, sitting alongside other immune response systems for a time of up to a year, the antigen eventually degrading after that time.
If, while the Compound is laying dormant within the body, a Yuuzhan Vong biot is introduced the antigen begins to aggressively attack and destroy said biot. This immediately renders the use of Yuuzhan Vong Biots within the users body ineffective as Thetha Red will aggressively and actively seek out and destroy any Yuuzhan Vong Technology within the body. This of course renders such things as The Vongspawn Virus, completely worthless and also means that any Yuuzhan Vong biot that created a symbiosis with the body(Such as Ooglith Masquers) completely ineffective as Theta Red will immediately begin to attack it.
Theta Red, since once injected remains in the blood, also has interested effects outside the body. If for instance a person with the Theta Red Vaccine is stabbed by the sharp end of an Amphistaff their blood, covering the weapon, will begin to attack the Yuuzhan Vong Bio-technology it is covering. This tends to make whatever was covered in the blood "sick". Yuuzhan Vong weapons, armors, and tools will begin to malfunction and perhaps even stop working, though the more severe the effect, the more blood is needed so this is a double edged sword.*
It should also be noted that the process of Theta Red is not a pleasant sensation. When a Yuuzhan Vong Biot is introduced into the body Theta Red aggressively attacks it, depending on how, where, and what was introduced, this generally tends to create a "sickness" within the person. The Vongspawn Virus will create symptoms much like a horrible flue, a pair of fighting claws would cause intense and incredibly painful burning where they are implanted, The touch and injection of the Embrace of Pain would cause intense agony while the creature slowly died around the used, and other biots would create other similar related effects.
All in all, Theta Red was created as a defense against the many tortures and alterations, and changes that the Yuuzhan Vong are capable of rendering upon others.**
Theta Red, being originally produced by Titan Industries was one of the three recipes taken by Alric Kuhn when he fled to the Outer Rim. This of course, changed when he returned to the Galaxy. With the approval of Danger Arceneau, and the founding of Void Genetics, Alric Kuhn began to slowly re-produce Theta Red.

*Again the effects of Theta Red are entirely dependant on those who own what is hit with him. It is never to be dictated that someone with Theta Red in their blood can kill an Amphistaff just by being stabbed by said Amphistaff.
**Thetha Red is not a catch all and much like all of these submissions, it must be reasonably and logically RP'd. Theta Red will not turn you into a walking Anti-Vong Bomb.
