Thinking of creating a character

Hey guys, I've been ruminating over the idea of creating a character for the past couple of days. I bought battlefront and have been extremely proficient as a pilot in the game mode, carrying games by myself often and making it into the top two every single round (even when I enter the match a quarter of the way through). I have gotten good to the point that friends refuse to play any game type with vehicles in it against me because my dogfighting skills are good enough to make even supremacy matches unfair. As a result I have been wanting to create a pilot character. Someone who was around back in the days of the rebellion. So, the basic character I have fought throughout the rebellions stand against the empire, but during the events of the battle of Jakku, a tear in reality due to the netherworld occurrences jerked him into the chaos RP timeline. Does this idea sound at all interesting? or should I give up on this character and go home? Please, give me an honest opinion of the backstory and its viability.

I think doing a pilot character is awesome. You shouldn't necessarily limit yourself to a character who has experienced star wars canon events though, there is 800 years of history between then and now. You can be a super talented veteran pilot without being 800 years old. unless you're really into that whole captain america, constant anachronisms as part of your character, which would be fun in its own right: you, "back in my day I flew circles around star destroyers WITH TIE fighters on my tail" person B, "what is a star destroyer?" you, "sigh"

Haha, I think that would be really fun. I can just imagine, "the heck is a vong?" *large scary monster runs at me* "oh pudu"

My honest opinion? Well, I have strong feelings to any pilot, and I love them all dearly.

I don't see the harm in making another one. In fact I'd be happy to be even trained by a pilot.

Pilots are fun, definitely recommend them. I even have someone from ages past and that's fun as well, to play on the dissociation and isolation of living past one's time.
