Third times the charm

Ossus Space

[member="Shmi Labooda"]

I was in my starfighter up to the medical cruiser to meet my new Master. I knew little about her other than knowledgeable and a good fighter but that was about it. I didn't know what this mission was about but the council thought it be a good idea to help and meet my Master. As I reached the medical cruiser I signaled the captain by saying "Jedi Padawan Brolen to Republic ship Mercy am I allowed to land over". A few seconds later the captian gave me the all clear signal and I guided my ship in and docked.

This was very important to me so I would try to make a good impression even though I should be a master at it. This is my third master after all but the way she sounds, she could be the best yet. The others weren't bad at being masters they just couldn't keep a padawan. I stood in the hanger and made my way to the bridge.

She made her way down the white halls of the Medical Center. She was nearby on assignment, and before she fully returned to the Jedi Temple she docked at the Medical Center for sometime. Not too long before she had been called upon by the council. They met over a holoprojecter that displayed their figures to her and hers to them. With the massive influx of students and the low number of Master available, It was kind of expected for Masters to take on more than one apprentice.

She saw the concern, and she heeded their word. She was taking over where others had fallen through. She hadn't met the young [member="Caleb Brolen"] before, but that would all soon change. He was to meet her here.

Her robes lagged, and covered her entire body. She walked the dragged a little against the floor beneath her. She was heading towards the Docking Bay, she had just received word that her new Padawan had arrived. Though she didn't need such notification, she could feel his presence grow near.

I walked into the hanger to see my Master [member="Shmi Labooda"] standing in front of me. I walked up to her and bowed then said "Greeting Master Labooda, I am Caleb Brolen and I was assigned to be your padawan". She probably knew as much but Master Matteo didn't know I was supposed to be his padawan so maybe it was the same situation. I continued on with "I am here to assist on your mission then to learn from you as well". I didn't want to sound to stuck up or obnoxious to her so I said little after that. This would be my third and hopefully final master so I wanted to make a good impression on her as well.

(Sorry about the wait!)

"Well greetings Caleb, from this point on it seems are destinys are intertwined. Come." she said motioning for him with a wave of her hand. Truly she had only been here to rest up before returning to the temple, it seems the Council was rather eager to make sure the infirmation she had recently collected was transferred back safely, and in a timely manner.

"Tell me more about yourself padawan...have you been with the Order your entire life? Or..." she said, she examined him physically. He was surely tall and physically fit. Most padawan were around this time.

I said "I have been with the order ever since the Sith attacked the Core Worlds but it seems like that was forever ago". I didn't want to go into any more details solely on the fact that I might go into another come and this time Master Raaf won't be here to help me out again. I decided to pry a little and ask "If you don't mind me asking, I have read up one you and you have a impress Jedi...career". As I turned the corner I continued with " How do you cope with different situations so quickly such as battle or death". It was a strange question so that's why I asked it. I put my hand on my head as I got a slight headache but I brushed it off to listen to what my master had to say.

Ahh, she remembered when the Sith launched their invasion inti the Core Worlds, it was sudden and a dark day in the history of the Jedi since. She still had dreams of her fighting on Coruscant, the flames still kept their heat...but that was a story for another day. She turned to look at the young man, very poise he seemed.

She turned the corner, and maneuvered around medical droids and nurses making their way to their respective places. Places like this caused her to feel uneasy, just being in a medical facility where the injured, dead, and soon to be dead (possibly) were located just made her mind slip into sickening crevices she didn't know she had.

She turned her head slightly to her padawan when he spoke, "Oh, well to say it isn't a challenge is an understatement at best dear. I am a Jedi...I do what I have to to preserve civilization." her first lesson to the young Caleb. She smirked and stopped at an entrance, the room she had help the information and ancient artifacts she acquired a few days ago.

"Alright Padawan, this is what the Council sent you to help me with. To make sure this selection of work makes it back to the temple accordingly. We don't need to worry about lifting it ourselves, we only need to work on making sure its transported safely. Tell me of your other Master?" she wanted to figure where she could start.

I looked down as she asked me what my past master was like. I began with "She was nice and respected among most jedi". I had to think back to the things that she taught me then I said "She taught me most of the simple force techniques and lightsaber forms". As I was talking I started to get another small headache which meant that something bad is about to happen.I stopped myself then asked "Master do you feel that too". I didn't know what but I put my life on that it has to do with the artifacts.
