Charting new Paths
Ok guys, so those of you who do not yet know, we have seen something start to happen with the republic event. Thread here.
Though the initial reaction from this power grab may be for us to all go running wild like a chicken with our heads cut off, this is all planned and a great way for Justice Shipping to show what we are all really about! We can commit a lot of privateering here to help get the people their stuff back and give relief to the now poverty stricken people who are out of work. This will earn "NPC Public sentiment" and in the long run will earn us a lot of allies. We are going to fight tooth and nail for Freedom and free trade. Feel free to play your character in how they would react.
James Justice is going total William Wallace on them. Also, if it helps, there is a bounty involved.
A few ideas that I drummed up that we can do (this is a recap of what is already listed and various other ideas:
-Relief. This could give the now unemployeed masses of NPCs food and etc to make it easier on them. Since this is what we stand for, it would make sense. Also, we could use it to up our faction's standing in the public's eyes and possibly make our armies larger through people willing to sign up for us.
-Privateering: reclaim for the common businessman what has been stolen! This could be NPCS or PCS but if you work it for a PC it can open doors in the future.
-Smuggling: War is good for smuggling. Lock downs, contraband, shortages, increases the black market values of common and special goods up to or over 400%. After all, during WW2 people were paying 300%+ more for sugar on the black market because it was rationed. I wonder how much they would pay in credits for something like dish soap on certain worlds.
-What do you have in mind? Go for it! Give it your best ideas. This is your faction as much as mine, so you feel free to throw some ideas out there. I will be starting a thread for this in minutes!! All are welcome!
