This One Is Surprisingly Simple

A cargo security job? Please. It was so weird to send a Jedi Master on this sort of thing, when they could hire normal security. But for some reason they decided it was worth it to send him. Alright, well, they're the bosses, he'll go wherever he supposed.

The cargo run was soon to be shipped out from one city to another on this planet, and Josh had arrived not long ago. He wore the usual Jedi fare, brown robes with a hood covering his head and face. The Jedi Master would take a breath, arms folded as he leaned against a wall, waiting for his partner to arrive.

He had no clue who they were, or what they looked like, so unfortunately, he had to guess. It didn't help that they were late, either.

Lokthra decided it was wise to start going out on more errand runs, more experience the better. Or at least she thought anyway. Knowing she would be seen by public, she decided to wear her beige jedi robes. Hopefully knowing that their is a jedi -- Padawan or not. Would put of any thoughts of attacking or raiding.

She landed on a nearby platform and met hastily with Master DragonsFlame.

Lokthra felt something in her stomach. Something wasn't right... It was only a matter of time for it to be relieved.

The green skinned Padawan would make her appearance, and the Jedi Master would look her up and down. The green skin gave him flashbacks a moment, unsanitary ones, but he wouldn't judge her for what she looked like, just because others of that look had decided to be terrible, terrible people who sold out their own spouses for favours to the current Dark Lord, who seemed to change by the week.

"You appear troubled, Padawan. What ails you?" He would suddenly speak, seeming to sense her discomfort. It was best they got any issues out of the way before they got to work, after all.

"I don't know Master. Something.. Something doesn't feel right about this mission"

"Do you have any... feelings of this mission... Should we call it off?"

Lokthra felt very uncomfortable for the upcoming mission, and although she wasn't looking forward to it, she knew nothing would stop it from carrying on.

"I get bad feelings on the regular, so I'm more or less wary all the time" The Jedi Master would quip, shooting her a grin in turn. "Honestly, if they sent a Jedi Master on a routine security run, then the likelihood of danger on this mission is likely quite high" Josh would add, but then shrugged his shoulders in turn.

"But I wouldn't let it bother you too much, aye? I'm sure we can handle whatever comes up, if it comes to it."

"Sounds like a plan"

She imagined all the questions she wanted to ask and they bounced off with each other, half concerned, half organized. She rushfully said.

"So, who are we meeting with, what does he look like, and aren't we already meant to be on our way by now??"

"Apparently, they're supposed to meet us there, and brief us" He spoke calmly as he would look toward her, and then look toward the distance, quirking a brow.

"It seems they're late."

Of course, before long he began to see a speeder coming toward them, in the distance...

The speeder was of average size. It had 3 cargo containers behind it. The driver, a male mon calimorian, looked 'easy' and simple. The Female Besalisk behind him however looked like a fierce warrior. She sent chills down Lokthra's neck.

Was the Besalisk the reason she had these feelings...?

"You two are our security?"

It hadn't been long before they had arrived and addressed them. The golden-blonde haired Jedi Master would let out a yawn, stretching out his arms and shoulders as he would step off where he had been leaning, before addressing their apparent employers.

"Mhm. I assume this is a hell of a security run if you're hiring the professionals?"

A grin crossed his lips. He wasn't sure what the big guy's reaction was, judging by the expression, but he would merely motion them in.

The Jedi would shrug his shoulders and step into the speeder. It seemed the goods would be transferred via speeder, which was fine with him. They just had to make sure that it actually arrived safely.

He would peer toward [member="Lokthra Dawning"], the newer Jedi who'd been assigned to him. "You're not nervous, are you?" He joked cheekily.

"Of course not" Lokthra said confidently as she hopped on the speeder. It was a beautiful ride around the city. Not much compared to what she head about of Naboo. But very very pretty non the less. However as she admired the city beyond she noticed lots of people where staring at her. She was curious if it was her race, her being Jedi or this job they had. Either way, it was escorted by two Jedi, one of which being a master. Something was going to happen, it's just unclear what is going to happen.

Well, he lived on Naboo so he knew this personally. Still, it was a decent sight, at the least... Made him miss Naboo though. A smirk crossed his lips when she would give her response. "If you say so. If you need a hand to hold to get through this scary speeder ride, let me know" The Jedi would joke, chuckling lightly in turn. He noticed the staring, of course, from bystanders, but it was nothing new to him. It could be the attire they wore... Or the fact that the girl had green skin... Or maybe it was just because a 6'4 man was sitting in the vehicle. Either way, he wouldn't give them much of a second thought as he peered around.

"I'd keep your eyes peeled the moment we're out of sight of witnesses" He would warn back at her, his tone growing serious in that moment. "That's when they're most likely to strike."

The speeders continued down the ways. Lokthra had sighted the start of a forest. She knew this would likely be the moment, the moment they strike.

"You ready for a fight master? I believe one is coming for us, whether we like it or not"

Lokthra grasped the lightsaber that she borrowed from the temple. Waiting. Wishing. For one she could call her own.

"Obviously" He would remark back with a light chuckle. He let out a breath as they would enter the forest. His eyes gazed forward, but his senses were scanning the area around them in it's entirety... He was trying to sense life forms, trying to sense intent... Trying to sense.... Something. But that something would come in time, he knew. And that time? Well, it was now.

His breath hitched as a blaster shot would ring through the trees. A blue blade would extend and hum as the Jedi Master would block the shot with his lightsaber. And then more and more shots began to be fired from the shadows...

"Get ready!"
