Clan Bral Verde | HSC Howlrunner | Mercenary
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
Born out of the desire to have access to a steady resupply of ammunition far from specialized Beskar foundries, the far flung member of the Bral clan, Doroko Bral, had devised a substitute for the Whistling Birds; the Thorns. The Thorns house the same guidance capability and explosive payload of their progenitor. However, the Thorns are made of Titanium and/or Duralloy, both strong materials in their own right, but much more readily available throughout the galaxy than Beskar. Both Titanium and Duralloy are easier to forge than Beskar, which enables the possibility of mobile production of Thorns and the mass production of the ammunition. The substitute of inferior materials for Beskar has made the Thorns a less effective rendition of the Whistling Birds when it comes to raw combat capabilities.
- Intent: To create a less effective, cheaper to produce, and higher production spin-off ammunition of the Whistling Bird.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- The Thorns are guided munitions just like their progenitor the Whistling Birds and operate in the same fashion.
- The lightweight and compact nature of this ammunition means that a multitude of them can be stored and carried by a single individual of average strength.
- The weapon systems that utilized such ammunition can often fire multiple at once.
- Pinpoint detonation means that damage is extremely localized, which is generally considered a weak point for explosive weaponry.
- The absence of Beskar relegates the Thorns to medium and lightly armored infantry instead of punching through heavy infantry armor.
