STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum)
Brutality - Nothing should ever be done in halves, especially when it comes to killing. If Thorzan leaves any loose ends, they certainly do not come from people he has failed to kill. A cold efficiency guides his hand as he dispatches those that he deems unworthy of life.
Cold Demeanor - Growing in a hostile environment prompted the young Thorzan to become used to the prospect of loss and betrayal. To combat this, he adopted a cold, sealed off prospective, seeing people and things as nothing more than tools. Rationality means more to him than moral argumentation.
Dedication - In Thorzan's view, you live or die by what you are willing to give. To him, knowledge and training are the two things that stave off the inevitable death that all beings are owed. Only through throwing yourself into your studies, pursuing your goals to the furthest, and shunning all side-tangents can one truly achieve their ideal self.
Adaptable - The Kaleesh has had times when his life has fluctuated between easy, hard, impossibly difficult, and ludicrously simple. As such, Thorzan has attempted to allow himself some amount of flexibility when it comes to whatever new situation he is afflicted with. Whether it be under the yoke of someone else or holding someone at his mercy, the kaleesh looks to try and fit comfortably in his new environment.
Weaknesses:
Hatred of Everything - A hostile planet has the capability of creating hostile people. Hostile people at their worst are dangerous. Thorzan has a deep seated hatred for many things, from droids to Jedi, Yam'rii to fellow Kaleesh. While in certain ways this may be used as a personal advantage, the Kaleesh's hatred leaves him a difficult individual to work with. This hindrance has and perhaps will cost him.
Taciturn - It is hard to read the expression of an individual when they hide behind a mask of bone and clothing of thick cloth. It is even worse when the individual speaks only when they believe it a necessity. This behavior makes it very easy for Thorzan to alienate those around him and very difficult for him to make quick, meaningful relationships with potential friends and colleagues.
Backwards - Kalee was never a technologically advanced world. As is such, Thorzan never learned some very basic things when growing up. His operation of Starships is barely even novice level, and repairing anything more advanced than a Czerka Outlands Rifle is a challenge for him. The category he needs most improvement in includes history, and the mechanics of more advanced machines.
APPEARANCE:
Standing at a much taller height than the average Kaleesh, Thorzan san Shovis is a specimen to behold. With broad shoulder, long limbs and a plantigrade stance, he stands out among his species based on physical attributes alone. An imposing sight, the Kaleesh adds to the overall demeanor of intimidation via swaddling robes of cloth and a traditional Mumuu bone-mask. His clothing is currently a traditional set of Kaleesh clothing, including pants, a headwrap, leather and cloth chest-piece, and a bone-mask decorated with red lines resembling the intimidating visage of some monster from his home planet. From the mask, his tusks jut out at a lower angle. Though he is covered from head to toe in various articles of clothing, his red-brown skin is visible within the holes of his mask in addition to his reptilian eyes.
ARMAMENT:
Czerka Corp. Outlands Rifle (Slugthrower)
Kaleeshi Lig Sword (scatrium metal)
Mumuu mask: Bone, but highly protective
BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a diminutive clan of Kaleesh known as the S'karai, Thorzan san Shovis was an outcast even within his family. From a young age, the elders of his clan marked him as a violent and potentially evil being. The young Thorzan, not understanding the concepts of good and evil, was a bully who threw his impressive size around and made life for the young members of his clan full of punches, throws and kicks galore. So it was that at the age of twelve, Shovis was given his first and so-far harshest lesson. At a tender age, he was exiled from his clan, thrown to the wilderness of Kalee and given naught but a Lig-Sword made of scatrium.
For many, this would be a death sentence. At so young an age it would have been understandable had the young Shovis died. Instead, however, the kaleesh filled himself with enough spite and hate that he swore he would never die for the pleasure of others. Through sheer amounts of determination, blind luck and incredible timing, Thorzan managed to survive the mountains of Kalee and came back to his clan a changed individual. Gone was the bully mentality, replaced instead with a cold and calculative person who looked at his 'family' as nothing more than an extension of the sword they had given him. They were tools, to be used and discarded whenever they were no longer useful.
The wildlands of Kalee had pushed Thorzan san Shovis to his most pragmatic. Cold, reserved, taciturn, and above all else; brutal.
Kalee would not be enough. Thorzan his entire life had felt the power that grew inside of him, molded and shaped him and drove him forward. He knew he was unlike his 'family', but never knew what it was. So it was that one day he went to one of the few spaceports on Kalee and found the first ship off of there. Through a series of conversations he learned of the Sith Empire, and the unfolding of events throughout the galaxy. It was through these conversations that Thorzan gained a new goal, and a new purpose.
The brutally cold kaleesh now only seeks one thing.
Join the Sith, Master the Darkside, control the fates of all others.
