Those Who Came Before

Deep underneath the ancient EmPal SuRecon Center many secrets were hidden. Old vaults, passageways long since fallen in disuse, secret chambers with arcane writings scribbled across the walls… yes, underneath the ground many things were buried, some of which was better left unfound and unnoticed.
Within one of those vaults sat a Sith Lord, a holocron levitating in front of him and casting the dark room in an eerie red light. This holocron of the Holocron of Heresies, one of the ancient ones, and together with [member="Darth Vitium"] they had managed to save the repository of knowledge from the ignorant and audacious.
Carach still could not grasp the stupidity of those thieves, but it mattered little in the grand scheme of things. They had been repelled and the holocron had been claimed for the glory of the Dark Lord, he had invited Silara to meet him here in the vault - together they would learn from the ancient device and present anything new to their Master.
Royal Guards, cladded in their usual red attire would escort her into the depths of the catacombs towards the specific vault itself. Every once in a while she might notice the dark presence of other adepts within the complex, Sith in training, Shadowguards sometimes.
He would simply wait until she was here, but inside of him burned the curiosity and that was one of his many… traits that some found strange. His inherent desire to learn new things, to collect ancient knowledge and to categorize it - but that was why the Lord of Freedom was a Voice of the Dark Lord, and not a Hand of the same quantity. War, the battlefield… they were all good and well, but Carach had other interests.
For some time now he was building something, constructing… a shadow of a former institution. Just as Vornskr was deeply involved with the Ministry of Truth, so was Carach slowly rebuilding the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge. An old organization of the Sith that busied itself with the reclaiming of their heritage and at the same time… working against the Jedi Shadows.
All across the Galaxy his agents were searching for those artifacts and knowledge, to reclaim them in the name of the Dark Lord and to make sure thieves would not destroy them. Knowledge… was power and while some knowledge was too dangerous to share with the masses, no one man should decide whether to destroy something or not.

In this contemplation the Voice waited for his fellow Voice, eager to commence the learning once again.
