Those Who Wonder

Days later from the happenings of Dromund Kaas saw Romeo healing on the Sanctum ship on his way to Rhen Var. In his bed, another ointment of Bacta was applied to his wound. Already the hole was beginning to heal nicely, but it would certainly leave a scar. Just like the scar that line the middle of his chest.

He sighed.

This was beginning to cause him more than he wanted to give. The quest for the living crystal would probably end with his grave marked "All for the Crystal, Never Even Figured It Out.." he thought in the back of his mind.

Sol'ra'ina walked into the room, all eight legs tapping at the floor.

I heard you called for me?

Her voice echoed in his mind. Lucents couldnt speak but they knew telepathy. Sol was also teaching Romeo about The Weave. She was his go to person.

Romeo nodded.

I found a living crystal...or something like.

Well, let me see this crystal young one.

Romeo pulled out the crystal from his pocket, and handed it over to the spider person.

Sol looked over the crystal, the Lucent was mauling over the crystal over and over. There was moment of silence that made Romeo feel uncomfortable.

This, my friend, is a very interesting thing you have here. This...this is so rare it's probably the only one existing. If I am sure on what this mineral is...it's from the Lifewell.

Romeo cocked his head.

"What's a the Lifewell Sol? I've never heard of this before. Does it involve the Weave?"

Sol shook her head no, and handed the crystal back to him, making a clicking sound with her mandibles in excitement.

Romeo, this is a crystal shard from the Lifewell of the Kathol people. They are an old species who at one point was trapped into Lifewell, a crystalline organ. It's hard to explain what it was supposed to. But apparently when the Kathol was inside this, it created them into a life energy that they called Ta-ree. See, this magic, Ta-ree, could only be used within the Kathol system.

Still confused, Romeo didn't understand what he was being told. "What do you mean, it turned them into life energy? What's Ta-ree?"

The Lucent simply shook her head.

Romeo, this doesn't involve the weave, and no one quite knows for sure why it did that. But while they were inside the Lifewell, Ta-ree was possible to use. When they were finally released, the Ta-ree was gone. They were being attacked by Dark Jedi you see, and they had retreated into the Lifewell where the DarkStryder protected them, and then held them captive. Not till a human defeated the bio-mechanical being, were they finally released.

Romeo lifted himself up, flinching in pain.

You should not move little one.

Romeo smiled at the Lucent, she always seemed to care about his well being.

"I am fine, don't worry about it. This..this is nothing."

He pointed out the scar across his chest in reminding her which got him a single click of her fangs as she stared at the scars he was beginning to collect.

"Where can I get to the Kathol system?"

Lucent nodded at his datapad next to him. Romeo handed it to her, watching her tap away on it.

You can find it here. I warn you little one...it is not a place for a Crawler of the Weave. You should wait. I worry for your well being no matter what you say, you are my friend Sin of the Weave. I wish to see you grow in the aspect of the Weave, to become a Spinner, then a Weaver. I could die happy to see you reach to the highest place of the Threads of the Weave.

Romeo placed a hand on the Lucent with a gentle smile. "I'll get there. I promise. Thank you Sol, this data is important...I just dont know why yet." He turned to look at the datapad, saved the coordinates, and flipped to a new page. The rogue sith was going to be on Rhen Var, maybe he could get more out of the man when they landed.

Sol shook her head with another soft click of her mandibles, Lucents were such amazing, and gentle beings. Romeo titled his head as he touched the shard of many colors. Sol lifted up to her full height, nearly three meters, and spoke.

You should focus more on the shard through the Weave, connect with the threads that bind it, touch them with curiosity. You never know what may become of it little Romeo.

Romeo smiled at her. "You're right!"

He crossed his legs in a meditative form, gathering in the force around as he did so in a extreme focus. Only when he was around Sol could he do this, she made him feel more at ease. Sol had pretty much raised Romeo on her own, teaching him everything he knew today, and yesterday.
When the Jedi Order did not work for him, the Lucents were there to guide him.

Gently, crawl across those threads, creep your way through it, and focus on which thread leads you to the shard little one.

As Romeo continued to focus on the threads, they became clearer in his mind, bright and shiny crystal threads that connected everything. This was how the Lucents saw the Force, and now, Romeo saw it too. It was like seeing life in it's more basic form, weaving through every other living thing to keep it all connected.

When he found the most colorful thread, he began to tread on it, gently crawling across it much like a spider. He felt the hums of it's life at his fingertips, and even to his bones. It was so warm to Romeo, so enlightening to him that Sol watched the smile slowly cross his face. The Weave was like a massive web of life, darkness, light, and various other colors could be found here.

Traffic was always moving, with no jams, but the many bright colors he followed seemed to only be able to move but so far. Like a trapped animal. it sadden Romeo to no degree, the need to be released and to wonder on one's own terms. It was like he knew how this felt.

You will come to see, little Romeo, that Ta-ree is very spiritual. It draws from the life energy of the Precursor. Gently use it, show it you mean no harm. You must be willing to let it touch your own life energy, to connect with you and become one with you. This is something that only you can do, something that was directly woven to you by the Webs of Life.

Sol was touching his mind, guiding him through the maze of life and death, showing him the way of the Weave even more. It boggled Romeo's mind to think that the Jedi never even so much as tried to teach this to their younglings. They removed emotions from their lives, where this made Romeo feel so much emotion, that it would burst if didn't try to control himself.

I can feel it wanting out, but can we? I can feel it alive, moving so slowly, and yet it is so strong. It's all alone, like me.

There it was, a large bright rainbow of life, spewing from a large knot at the end of the threads. It was beautiful. There was nothing Romeo could do to give the scene, this moment, justice but a moment of silence in his awe. This moment was something he believed very few beings ever got to see. The Force in it's most purest form. Least, this was what he thought it was.

Sol...I think this is going to make me cry.

Romeo could feel her moving in around him, a embrace to help give him strength. Falling into that embrace, Romeo found himself able to move forward and make contact with the Ta-ree.

As he finally reached it, all Romeo saw was bright colors swirling around him like a soft breeze of the wind. Something warm touched his skin, his cheek burned with it's own color as he felt blood rush to them. He reached his hand into the color, and it was almost like something touched back. Slowly, Romeo emitted emotions of awe, and smiles, giving off that respect that he realized what he was witnessing. Showing he understood this was a great honor. Moving more into it, Romeo could let out more emotions.

Joy, kindness, peace, and happiness all flooded the colors while in return they were well received and answered. The Ta-ree seemed overly excited to feel his presence, it felt calm, and safe, kind of like a child.

I think, little Crawler, you have made a good first impression. Come back, we are about to land.

Romeo felt a jolt kick back and opened his eyes. "Wait...we only just left."

Sol shook her head.

No, little one, it has almost been a day and a half since we left.

Romeo's jaw dropped. "That long...". Clearly there was more to this than Romeo could understand.
