- All standard features. Alongside all standard fully amphibious features.
- The Thranta Spawn were built to be able to function in liquid environments alongside typical fighter functions. And also the environments in between. By properly customized shielding, pressurization, sealing, and material preparation, the Spawn can comfortably be added to the list of fully amphibious vessels.
- Quick Deployment/Pickup: The Thranta Spawn are also designed to carry droids or drones in a specialized compartment underneath the vessel that can quickly launch or pick up a droid that can fit inside it’s compartment. This is specially made with carrying KBQ "Kraken" Droids (Or equivalent size), RBQ "Leviathan" droids, and/or Swarm Drones. Respectively able to carry 4 krakens, or 2 Leviathans and either another kraken or 2 swarm drones, or 8 swarm drones. While it can carry other types they would be harder to pick-up or eject as fast. Combinations can be made of these types, with Swarm drones taking up 1 ‘unit’ of space, krakens taking 2, and Leviathans taking 3.
- Swarm Drone Connection system with droid brain to help guide them. As Swarm Drones lack proper independent systems, and rely on very specific encrypted signals for each specific drone. This all works alongside a droid brain and coordination interface system for the pilot.
- Hard to miss: With one ion cannon and 3 heavy cannons facing forwards, then another 3 turrets, it’s hard for a thranta spawn to not at least hit the target with a poor shot. But with a good pilot and co-pilot, it carries on onslaught that’s sure to overwhelm the unprepared.
- Completely amphibious. It works nearly as well in the oceans of various worlds as it does in the air, and is designed as an excellent scouting ship for potentially hostile planets due to the extreme variety of conditions it is designed to face.
- Possess an interior port for an astromech. As well as a gunner seat.
- In line with Mariah Marr’s beginning preference for sleek ships, the turrets actually deploy rather than are constantly out (this also makes it easy to enter oceans at high speeds and slightly decrease the ships overall space it takes up if traveling into tunnels). And the 3 heavy laser cannons are neatly placed in the ship so as not to disrupt the visual appearance.
- Can quick pick up and eject droid types, primarily Leviathan, Kraken, or Swarm drones.
- No missiles. No Ion cannon. The Thranta Spawn relies almost entirely on the wealth of laser cannons. But this also means that it lacks the variability most fighters possess. Compared to the explosion a good proton torpedo can make in a short time, the Spawn needs to be used either very efficiently on its own, in good coordination with allies, or in more extended engagements before the laser cannon focus will allow it to match the options most starfighters possess.
- Not designed to be alone. Although they possess a hyperdrive, it’s slower than most military vessels. The Spawns are meant to be deployed in carriers, or at least kept locally. While effective starfighters, they are still more restricted than most and so best serve as conditional ships more than generalists.
- Any droid not pre-designed for the quick eject/pickup system will not in fact be quick, and would have to function more like an external cargo compartment. This also tends to restrict how easily they can fit something of the same size unless they have the same or similar shapes to the pre-chosen droid options.
- The Leviathans are essentially as large a droid as the ship can safely fit without risking something getting lodged during enclosure or ejection.
- Very little cargo space for a fighter of it’s size. Most interior space is taken up by the quick release/pickup compartment and the turrets.
DESCRIPTION
The Thranta Spawn were a collaborative design effort between Mariah of House Marr and Helix Solutions. As Solutions had already prepared work on amphibious droids, Mariah decided she could begin work on a set of Amphibious ships to accompany and coordinate with them. Due to the unusual circumstances aquatic expeditions can involve, it was also decided to include a hasty deployment and recovery system for droids so that the pilot needn’t be as involved during such missions, this was especially focused on Helix Solutions two amphibious droids. Although Mariah would decide to incorporate her Swarm Drones into the system as an option, should there be a space or land battle where they might prove somehow more convenient. For this reason the ship was also given a droid brain and a proper guidance interface system for the occupant to give, or relate, orders and receive information from them. This does aid in coordinating any other connected droids or drones as well.
Crew capacity: 2
Pilot (can use gunnery and coordinator systems): Required
Gunner/Coordinator: Optional.
Tertiary (aid to gunner or coordination): Optional.
2 weeks rations.
Very little cargo space for a fighter of it’s size. Most interior space is taken up by the quick release/pickup compartment and the turrets.
