Three-Sections Of Crafting

Zavzen stood on one of the walkways over a river of lava, staring down at the fiery flow. He was waiting for [member="Darth Ferus"] to appear. The zabrak had approached him for this meeting, needing Ferus's help in crafting a new weapon for Zavzen's use: a three-section staff that could lock itself into a regular staff.

The enviroment was hellish around Zavzen. Blackened, mounds of earth pieced through the lava, casting black shadows over the landscape. The river was constantly spitting and hissing. Spouts of the deadly liquid shouting up into the air, threatening to kill all those on the planet. Heat radiated from the rivers, prickling at the skin of whoever got close.

Zavzen was wearing his now regular outfit. A black silk tunic half-open and black silk trousers, over the top of those he was wearing a brown cloak. On his feet were leather sandals and a sash was tied around his waist. Tied to the sash were two sheaths, each one holding one of his swords. A holster was tied to his thigh, containing a blaster pistol.

With both hands behind his head, he would move over to [member="Zavzen Sae'ryx"] , a slight grin on his face. So the boy was looking for another weapon eh? Well, he couldn't exactly say no to the Sixth sword. Moving towards the boy, he would offer the faintest of nods, before glancing about the area itself. "The lava planet? Tell me, where am I going to be able to make the Alchemic forge again?" A light tease, but a serious question. Blue eyes lingered on the smaller Zabrak for a moment or two before looking off to the warm scenery.

Zavzen tensed slightly as he felt his mentor come to stand next to him, clamping down on his mental shield to prevent the feelings of turmoil he had rolling through him from his illness escaping. Zavzen answered Ferus's question as he continued to stare out over the dangerously beautiful scenery. "I thought that we could conduct the alchemy over there." He nodded towards one of the many volcanoes scattered over the planet's surface. "To craft something inside of a volcano. I thought it would be.." He cast his thoughts around for the best words, "an ... interesting experience and challenge." The pale Zabrak turned to face the red one, "Unless, of course, you have any objections and a better idea."

"A basin is needed for Alchemy, and blood is the cost. Magma, while considered the worlds blood, will not assist in the forging. However, I can use the magma as the basic compound to change, should prove interesting. Now, lead me to a place I can form an actual basin, and show me where I can find the blood needed to do this." Ferus's tone was level as he spoke to [member="Zavzen Sae'ryx"] , folding his arms behind his back. "Lead on, and tell me of the weapon you wish for me to create."

Zavzen nodded at Ferus before turning to march off of the walkway. He strode through the corridors of the mining facility before stepping out of the building and onto a landing platform. Zavzen made his way over to the edge before jumping off and onto a small patch of land twenty meters bellow. He started to make his way to the Volcano, jumping from patch of land to patch of land. The whole time he was using the Force to ignore the heat and heal any damage done to him.

Eventually arriving at the volcano, Zavzen entered it by way of a natural cave system that bore into the side. The winding path eventually opened up into a large cavern where massive stalactites hung from the ceiling. The path ended five meters in, creating a ledge. Bellow the ledge was a flowing stream of magma. He turned to face his mentor and explained his reasoning behind the location,

"I wish to make this a challenge and what better place than inside a volcano. Plus there's a lot of material you could use just down there." He gestured over his shoulder towards the end of the ledge. "If you need blood I'm willing to donate, after all this is to be my weapon. Now, you said you needed a basin."

Reaching up through the Force he displaced a Stalactite from the ceiling, above the flow not the ledge, and caught it as it fell. Slowly, he brought it over to the ledge where he stuck it into the ground, point first. Reaching over he released a Force Push onto the base of the stalactite and formed a shallow grove, Zavzen repeated this until a basin was formed on the stalactite.

"As for the weapon itself," Zavzen said as he began to answer the last of Ferus's questions, "I plan on making a Three-Section Staff that can lock in place. A regular Three-Section Staff is made up of three sections of Staff, attached by a chain. However I want to make this one slightly unique and add a way to lock it in place to form a regular Bo Staff." Zavzen paused as he looked at Ferus, "So, do you think it could be done?"

"I would assume a three section staff has three sections." He offered a slight wink to [member="Zavzen Sae'ryx"] after he was finished talking. The idea was nice, and a locking mechanism wouldn't be hard to make. But something else was eating at him. "What use is having the staff in three parts to begin with? It seems useless in all honestly, and it would simply make your life that much harder when trying to use it.. Are you sure this is what you want?" Ferus's blue eyes would watch Zavzen for a moment before looking to the basin itself. "And where is your blood sacrafice?"

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"First, there are two reasons I'm making a Three-Section Staff instead of a regular Staff. One, it's easier to carry and two, there is a whole style of fighting dedicated to using this weapon and its uncommon enough to use as a surprise. Second," Zavzen reached into his tunic a tossed a packet of blood he had been carrying with him, "I've been looking into Sith Sorcery and Alchemy recently and I've noticed that they both seem to have a lot of uses for blood. I just wanted to make sure that it was definitely needed. I've run across some pretty bad things that can be done to someone as long as you have some of their blood." He let out a grim chuckle before clapping his hands together and forcing his attitude to brighten, he was mentally dying, no use using up the rest of his time, if he couldn't find a cure, being miserable. "So, how will this process work?"

"I need blood, naturally. For this to work it does require blood. As for the process, well. Leave that part to me." Cracking his knuckles, the red man would take ahold of the packet of blood and move to the basin. What [member="Zavzen Sae'ryx"] wanted wouldn't be difficult to make, but it would take some time. Holding the blood over the basin, he would zap the package with a small jolt of lightning, only to let it go and fall into the basin itself. A small pitch black cloud would erupt from the bowl, and it would become fully enveloped in lightning. Once thin blood would turn into a thick dark liquid, the darkside emanating from the bowl itself. "Place your hands on the side of the bowl, and I'll enter your mind to make the weapon you have envisioned, alright?"

Zavzen stood silent and still as he watched [member="Darth Ferus"] prepare for the ritual. He only moved when he stepped forwards to cup the side of the makeshift bowl with his hands, being careful not to cut himself for the risk of potentially and unknowingly interfering with the ritual was something that was strong on his mind as he did not have a lot of knowledge about Sith Alchemy. Closing his eyes the pale skinned Zabrak focused on forming an image of what he wanted his staff to be inside his mind and made a small hole in his mental shielding to provide an easy access point for Ferus.

He focused on the Staff being made of metal with a chain running throughout the length and catches on the ends of the sections so that he could lock them together. He focussed on the Staff becoming as lightsaber resistant as possible. But most of all he focused on the Staff being built to the best possible quality he could think of and hoped that this worked.
