Through Time and Space [Solo]

The Aing-Tii awoke to find itself restricted in movement. Large chains pulled at every limb and joint, preventing it from shifting even an inch of itself. There was also a great pain located in it's chest, burning as if it had been hit by one of their species own stun sticks. Whatever had brought it here was not friendly, that was for sure, but he could not remember what had happened. Not until the memories flooded back did he remember the pain. Someone had tortured him, not only physically but mentally. It had ripped away at his mind in an attempt to find something. But what?

"Finally, I thought you would never wake up this time." A high-pitched voice came from the shadows, and it's bearer stepped from them a moment later. Now he remembered; a young human. He never thought their species matured so young, but this one seemed to have the mind of an adult. "You're persistent aren't you?" Valtryx sighed, looking fed up. "Strong in the force too, but of course that's why I chose you. It doesn't matter though, you'll give in eventually." Without warning one of her hands came up, fingers extending to release a short burst of lightning. The Aing-Tii squirmed in it's chains, unable to escape the pain as the current was only conducted moreover through the metal. Once it was over he slumped down again, silent as ever in his imprisonment.

"So what will give in first? Your strength, or your willpower?" Her arm lowered, but her eyes remained unmoving. They locked onto his, staring straight into him. She pressed into his mind, the lust for power driving her to break his defenses. Soon he would have to give in...

But he was still strong, he would not forsake the secrets of his people so easily...

"Your people have friends, do they not?" The voice was inside his head now, echoing from all directions. Already she could see into his mind, albeit not as far as she hoped. All of his willpower went into pushing her back, and repressing the knowledge she desired to the deepest parts of his mind. With the help of his deities he would persevere. "I will ensure the die a long, painful death. They will perish knowing it was your reluctance that killed them, and you shall watch helplessly." Such thoughts brought him more pain than any lightning could, but his faith kept him strong. "Your faith is misplaced. These false gods will not save you, nor will anything but the dark side of the force. Accept this and we could work together. Benefit from each others knowledge-"

"I will not be corrupted!" His conscience roared back, shaking Valtryx's attack for a moment. Determination appeared to be victorious for only a second, until the darkness doubled it's efforts and pushed back.
"So the creature has a voice, albeit on the inside." Somehow he could almost see her smile, despite the fact he could no longer see the room he was in. Their vision had turned inwards to the battle within. Her pressure was unrelenting, and his defense was desperate. The next layer of his defenses was the it's tipping point, soon enough she would be one step closer to her prize.
"Give in to the darkness!"

The scene suddenly changed, around him stood fields of grass and rock; a stark contrast to the dark chamber he had seen before. This place looked familiar, somewhere from an old memory. Home. It was impossible though, there was no way he was dreaming all of that. The pain had been real, he knew it.
"Such a pretty world." Valtryx spoke from behind him, at which point he realised there were no chains binding him. He turned to face her, examining the young human in the light for once. "There must be alot of your kind here, plenty of monks to try should you actually resist my power." She pretended to examine the area around them, knowing it was only an illusion from his memory. "Would you rather I tried someone else? Or do you want to give in now, save them the pain?" Her eyes returned to his, a fiery red which made him uneasy.
"I will not forsake my people's knowledge." The Aing-Tii spoke, his mental voice deep and monotone.
"You think it's some big secret? You know there are people out there who already know your ways. One more won't make a difference. Give. In."
"They are unfortunate situations, I would not wish to repeat them."
"GIVE IN!" Valtryx screamed with hatred, and at the same time the world suddenly changed. Everything was engulfed in flames, the Aing-Tii's home crumbling into ruin before him. Slowly she began taking steps towards him, her tiny face filled with anger. "What you see around you will be realised by my hand if you do not obey me!" Closer and closer the girl became, so much so that the Aing-Tii wanted to back away. It was only then was he restricted again, the chains had appeared once more.
"This pain... is false... This is an illusion... You will not corrupt me!" Another shocked burst through his body, more lightning from the hands of the young human. He was unsure whether it was merely her illusion creating the pain or actual pain from their physical realm, but either way it was unbearable.

"This must be your temple." The girl broke the silence that came after his pain. The setting had changed again, and this time it was the large stone hall which he recognised as the entrance to his people's temple. Her words fell deaf to his ears, as he was too busy staring at the great walls and columns to listen. His thoughts lay with the safety of his people and the sanctity of their ancient knowledge. This human was evil, there was no doubt about that. If she were to learn their secrets and pass them on to others like her, the safety of all innocence in the galaxy would be at risk. The flow of the force was a dangerous current even when followed, the thought of someone trying to control it was terrifying.
"The flow of the force? Sounds interesting." She spoke again, this time from his left. Everytime she appeared her hands were by her sides, always staring forwards at him between her long black hair. "Your thoughts betray you. We're already at your temple, it won't be long before you show me what I seek."
"Why do you follow this path? Why is it you outsiders see the force in duality? There are many-"
"QUIET!" The chains yanked hard at his joints, threatening to tear his limbs apart. "I didn't ask for a lecture on belief, I want your powers!"
"I know what you want, Sith. Yes, I know of you outsiders and your Sith. Blind to the colours of the-" Another hard pull on his form stopped him again, along with a grunt of fustration from the young human.
"That's it, I'm done asking."

If the Aing-Tii could scream, he would have. A pain greater than anything before shot through him, splintering his senses both physically and mentally. Everything became a mess, the only thing in sight being the fiery red eyes of the girl. It was excruciating and unbearable, biting down to his very core. There seemed to be no end until what felt like hours passed, at which point everything stopped. A pitch black darkness surrounded him for a moment while he recovered his senses, and then a new setting came to light.

"The flow of the force is forever moving, setting it's course as it pleases. It can not be commanded or warped, it must be followed. To follow the current you must feel it's path and align yourself with it. You will find it's rhythm and soon enough be able to go with it. Whether you wish to flow through time or space, the force will take you there."
"No-, stop this!-" The Aing-Tii struggled against his chains again but to no avail, he was helpless as he watched his memory display itself to the girl.
"Time is somewhat easier than space, as you can only travel through the perception of time. There is no changing the past, but your perception of it can be enlightened. As for the future, you may gleam into it's vision, but know that it is not set in stone. The force will run it's path in time, you cannot disrupt it's flow. With Time you must be careful not to lose yourself to the flow, lest you be trapped in it forever..."
"Please! I beg you!-"
"Shh, you're ruining the lesson!" Valtryx held a finger to her lips as she glanced at the Aing-Tii, before returning her gaze to the teacher in his memory.
"Space is traversed through the flow similarly. You must concentrate immensely on the object in the realm of the force, whether it be a box or yourself, and follow the current from it's location to reach the desired destination. You must guide it's journey through the flow, matching it's every ebb and turn to avoid straying off it's path. Once you can feel and follow the flow, it will be open to you."
"So... that's the flow of the force." A sinister smile formed on the girl's face as she turned to her victim. Broken in every way, he merely stared at the ground before him in silence."See? Wasn't that easy. Don't die on me just yet, we haven't got to the fun part!"

Reality flooded back, and the Aing-Tii was once again in the dark chamber bound by chains. Infront of him stood the girl, a cruel grin plastered across her face. Her arms always straight by her sides, fingers flexing with sinister intent. "Are you ready for the fun part?" A giggle escaped her as she spoke, the sound going right through the Aing-Tii. For the first time he was furious, an anger building up inside him. He had been tortured, violated; forced to break the sanctity of his people's knowledge. Now he was about to die at the hands a child who would use that knowledge for evil. He could not let that happen, if he could obtain any redemption it had to be now. The chains were too strong and too tight to break or move, but there was one way he knew of. He had to use the knowledge against her.

Focusing on the flow of the force, he examined it's movements through him. It twisted forwards, a perfect wave towards the girl. As much as it was against his ways, he was being fuelled by the anger and humiliation, which ultimately allowed him to dissapear. Within seconds he reappeared before the girl, free of the chains and with his hands ready to pummel her. As soon as he landed on the metallic floor with a clang, he reached down to crush her tiny form; only for it to dissapear before him.

"Interesting... The way you followed the current, it was an honour to witness." A light shone from behind him through a caged wall, revealing the real Valtryx on the other side. "For such a powerful user of the force, I'm surprised you fell for that illusion. You'd think you'd have learned by now." The Aing-Tii shot forward, clawing at the cage to no avail. He was weak and exhausted, having used his remaining willpower on the space fold. All he could do was stare helplessly at the young human. "Well thank you for the visual demonstration, it will come in helpful for my training." A fake smile appeared, before she quickly turned to walk away. "Kill him." Her final words came with conviction, and soon enough several robed figures appeared from the opposite direction, all seeming to wield lightsabers. Their blades ignited in unison, all a crimson red.

It was then the Aing-Tii accepted his fate; he would die by the hands of Sith.

A small sphere, commonly used to train Telekinesis, floated above Valtryx's open palm. Her eyes were fixated on it, staring into it as she concentrated on sensing the flow of the force. It weaved it's way through herself, the object and the air like a tapestry, it's threads overlapping and branching to almost every direction. She could feel it's movements, it's rises and drops, as if it were outlining a distant mountain range. How fascinated she was that such a view of the force had not caught her attention before, it was marvellous to behold. Her fascination did not distract her final goal though, as she prepared herself to move the ball through space.

All of her concentration went into feeling the current, marking out the ball's path through it to her other hand. The darkness fuelled her, and with it she was strong. This power was achievable, she knew it. So with all of her determination, she began to fold the space around the sphere and guide it through the flow. In a second it dissapeared, yet to her it was still visible in the force. Her mind guided it the short distance, before finally it reappeared in her other hand. Once it landed softly in her palm she grinned, already she was planning the next step to her training. A crate this time, placed infront of her ready to be moved. Again she concentrated, this time on a large thread of the flow, readying the crate's course to the other side of the room. As soon as she was ready, she folded the space again. The box began to fade away, and slowly but accurately it followed the current, until finally reappearing across the room.

Another grin grew on her face; it was time for the true test of power.

There was no better incentive to improve than the fear of death. That was why Valtryx was stood upon one of Coruscant's numerous skyscrapers, staring intently at the gap between herself and the next rooftop. It was about five meters, a good enough challenge for her powers. The chances of failure were numerous; she might leave the flow too soon and fall to her death, or become lost in it forever. She was scared for sure, but that fear fueled her. Already she was channeling the dark side, her concentration locked on the movement of the flow. Fear, hatred, lust for power; they all made her strong. Once she had identified which thread she would travel along, she began to fold the space around herself.

Suddenly the sound of passing speeders disappeared, and there was nothing. She was moving but felt no air or gravity, just a current taking her along. Subconsciously she was guiding herself along it, but while inside she hardly noticed. Everything was so surreal, until finally the real world came back. Speeders and lights reappeared, but this time from a different view. As she turned to look behind at where she had been moments ago, she knew it had been successful. That sinister grin grew on her face again, elated in her success. Never before had she felt so powerful; never before had she felt so alive.
