HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Thyrsia's history is deeply intertwined with the echoes of the Begali Uprising and the Pact of Almera. As the red suns of Thyrsus adorned military units, the Sun Guard emerged from the chaos as a force dedicated to protecting the newly independent city. Thyrsia's inclusive policies were established during the post-war period, opening its doors to citizens from various backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity and shared destiny. The civil war remains a defining chapter, influencing Thyrsia's commitment to freedom and its vibrant cultural mosaic. The Trade Spire, once a symbol of strife, now stands as a beacon of economic prosperity, facilitating trade and cultural exchange. Thyrsia, with its grandeur and resilience, continues to shape its destiny, embracing the future while honoring its storied past.
More recently, Thyrsia only became a major hub of trade and green pastures only after the newly found freedom after the Echani had once again controlled the planet. Thyrsia was not allowed to breathe, but when it found it's second coming of freedom, is when the ground started to turn green. It was one of the only few havens on the planet where many Thyrsians flocked back to after it was rid of Echani control. It saw Imperial boots for a time, but thankfully, it went under the radar enough. Though, probably due to the bribes and wealth it gave to keep the shackles away.
With the creation of Thyrsia's great many Aqueducts, it with new land cultivators from the galaxy, began to breathe life into the soil around the city, making it fertile. This has caused much of the ground within the city and outside, a lush green, instead of a pale desert. From an orbital view of the planet, Thyrsia appears as a great white, chalky dot, with a lush green circle filling around it. This has become the start of new life for Thyrsus, and although it may not make the entire planet green, due to the heat, it does bring about myths and religions about an oasis in the desert.
Since joining the Galactic Alliance around 900ABY, it has certainly enjoyed an influx of even more wealth and citizenry. With the planets admittance into the Galactic Alliance, it has also seen newfound safety and protection, making it an even better choice than before to trade with and be a location for business. Although, while the rest of the planet has seen much more inclusion of Galactic Alliance culture, aesthetics, and even flags... Thyrsia still behaves as best it can as an independent city-state, and strictly staying to its culture that it has created, with the mix of Thyrsian and galactic influence.
