- Modular Design: As a pre-designed superstructure, the Tiber II is an upgrade to the original Tiber I as it is now capable of being used for any ship between Cruiser and Battle cruiser size, allowing for a much wider use.
- Full option loadout: As a preproduced superstructure, the Tiber-II boasts a whole host of improvements, mainly in the department of electronics and electronic assistance, allowing for much smoother operations due to all systems now being integrated into the superstructure from the production line.
- Very robust design: Utilizing the same superstructure elements as the standard warships from the N&Z line ups guarantees that this platform can boast an incredible durability and strength.
- Highly Automized: With everything or at least nearly everything left in the hands of the integrated AI system, the Tiber-II superstructure can boast insane operational integrity and smooth transitions, allowing for maximum efficiency without drawback on operational level or exhaustion.
- EMP: Despite the fact that the N&Z has attempted to shield and protect their droid brains within any of the structures and designs that utilize them, EMP in general still poses issues to even simple and effective designs as the Tiber I class platform. Systems can still be fried and the ZEUS Mk II can still be forced to reboot if the EMP was powerful enough, which does turn the full automation into a problem with a skeleton crew.
- Highly automized: Due to the highly automized nature of the Tiber-II superstructure, should the AI system be compromised or forced to reboot, this can quite harshly affect the operational strength of the superstructure and any vessel it is used in.
The Tiber-II modular Superstructure was designed to ammend some of the flaws that became apparent in the original Tiber I superstructure, such as the lack of properly integrated electronic systems, the option to be less dependant or more cooperative with the onboard AI and so forth. One of the more obvious changes to the design is the integration of the N&Z's own ATHENA AI rather than the further use of the ECSAI line provided by the HPI, though this isn't that much of a change since the ATHENA is heavily inspired by the ECSAI, making it easy to transition from one AI to the other without much adaptation or change. However, the ATHENA system does boast a much higher resistance against slicers and cyber systems designed to slice.
The Tiber II also boasts a much better choice of Hyperdrives and the new C.H.A.R.M. 01 reactor for the Tiber-II/MP version so that costs and repair are simplified, while the Tiber-II/LM does still utilize the more expensive NZ F.A.R. reactor. This also signifies how the superstructure is divided between the MP and LM version with its material choices, with the LM boasting higher quality, but lower production materials to signify its more elite status.
Utilizing the experience gained from both the newest ships designed by the N&Z itself and the NCE from the Empire of the Lost, the option of utilizing symbiotic cybernetic links has also been integrated, allowing foir even higher response timing from the operational crew without the need for increasing the actual crew number. Thus also allowing for a bit more oversight from the crew.
Lastly, the Tiber-II has been built from the ground up with more contemporary materials and newer compounds to provide an even better quality rating and solid and robust build.
While the Tiber may be capable of operating as a ship on its own, it is wildly underperforming in that case, as it neither ha the armaments installed, nor has the skin and hull to fully provide stability and cargo space necessary for transport.
