SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
Following a sudden shift in the presence of several major factions and in galactic stability, Adumar Advanced Starcraft Design and Repair made the shrewd move to convert some of its surplus Tie parts into a minor production run of cheap and lightly armored fast-attack tanks, available to whatever factions might be feeling like performing a little... expedient expansion.
As a repurposing of Tie series parts by a company that primarily makes starfighters, this vehicle is, for lack of a better phrase, weird. It's uncomfortable and unintuitive to pilot, has terrible armor, shoddy maneuverability and turning, and lacks any kind of defensive weaponry. Instead, it relies on its high speed and heavy forward weaponry to quickly get itself into combat to dispatch whatever enemies are directly ahead of it. With the inclusion of breaching torpedoes and three medium blaster cannons, a commander just might find that a large formation of these expendable fast-attack tanks is exactly what they need to crack open their enemies' defenses.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- 2 high-speed tank treads, one on either side.
- Torpedo tube.
- Fire-linked medium blaster cannons.
- The main body is made from the cockpit of a TIE/ln.
STRENGTHS
- Speedy: The ap-4 has some pretty impressive speed for a treaded vehicle.
- Siege Engine: The included breaching torpedoes are intended to destroy defensive walls, allowing infantry forces entry points to fortified enemy positions.
- Front towards the enemy: All weapons are forward fixed, leaving this vehicle unable to counterattack when assaulted from the rear or the side.
- Paper skin: A layer of durasteel plate is the only thing protecting this tank. It can soak up small arms fire, but a single shot from a heavier weapon can disable or destroy it.
- Wide turning radius: Due to being a tracked vehicle, its maneuverability and turning radius suffer immensely.
