Irumakka Sednava
Retired Imperial, Businessman
A product of Adumar Advanced Starcraft Design and Repair
SPECIAL FEATURES
Following a sudden shift in the presence of several major factions and in galactic stability, Adumar Advanced Starcraft Design and Repair made the shrewd move to convert some of its surplus Tie parts into a minor production run of cheap and lightly armored cargo-hauling tanks, available to whatever factions might be feeling like performing a little... expedient expansion.
As a repurposing of Tie series parts by a company that primarily makes starfighters, this vehicle is, for lack of a better phrase, weird. It's uncomfortable and unintuitive to pilot, has terrible armor, shoddy maneuverability and turning, and lacks any kind of significant offensive weaponry. Instead, it relies on its high speed and light defensive weaponry to quickly get itself onto the front lines to unload whatever cargo it may hold: Ammunition, medical supplies, and whatever else an infantry unit might need. Thanks to its massive open flatbed allowing the comfortable evacuation of up to four wounded troopers, a commander may discover that a small number of these expendable cargo-hauling tanks is exactly what they need to maintain their supply lines AND their soldiers' well-being in combat.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- 3 high-speed tank treads, one on either side and one in the rear, centered underneath the flatbed.
- A large, open flatbed is located behind the main body.
- A rotating manned turret with 2 light blaster cannons mounted atop the main body, on the hatch..
- The main body is made from a TIE/ln cockpit.
- Speedy: The ap-5 has some pretty impressive speed for a treaded vehicle.
- Supply hauler: The large open flatbed behind the TIE body can quickly load and unload a very large amount of supply crates and canisters.
- Weak bite: This vehicle is only equipped with light weaponry with which to defend itself. Please do not try using this to assault an enemy position. It will not end well.
- Paper skin: A layer of durasteel plate is the only thing protecting this tank. It can soak up small arms fire, but a single shot from a heavier weapon can disable or destroy it.
- Wide turning radius: Due to being a tracked vehicle, its maneuverability and turning radius suffer immensely.
