Description

The TIE Bow is the next step in creating a sizable navy for the New Order that relies on technology all of its own, instead of carrying itself on the back of old Sith Empire tech. The TIE Bow is of average speed and maneuverability that are present in most modern fighters. Mounted within the front of the fins are two Heavy laser cannons that are link fired in the same manner as the X-Wings canons. Much like any other fighter of its classification, the TIE Bow also possess two proton torpedo ports that each hold six warheads a piece.

Where things begin to differ from the average fighter is in the presence of a ball turret atop the craft's hull. This weapon is a ball turret and can rotate a full 360 degrees on its horizontal axis, giving it the ability to aim at nearly any target regardless of the Bow's trajectory. The benefit of this weapon is that it gives the TIE Bow an effective beam weapon that is capable of both draining shields and cutting through the hulls of smaller craft and even larger warships if the range and concentration allow. It is also beneficial that it's ball turret design allows the ship to fire at pursuing vessels or targets that try to maneuver away from the craft in an upward arc. However, the turret has no ability to fire at craft that manage to get under the ship.

Additionally, the ship's fins can be folded for easier storage. On the note of fins, each side of the vessel contains a concealable set of solar panels for use in the ionziation reactor. These panels are set to automatically deploy when the ship needs a recharge and retract back into the wings for protection of the vital area. However, if a ship needs to recharge while in combat these panels can offer a massive target for enemy craft to exploit.

Just a few things here.

Proton Torpedo Silos (2)
At this time, we don't accept "silos" for warhead launchers. For an Elite Starfighter, you can have 2 Warhead Launchers with 6 shots per tube.

The other thing that I feel I should make you aware of is that while the composite beam laser fills the role for anti-ship and anti-shield weapon, a beam weapon is a terrible choice for a anti-pursuit weapon. It looks great and it'll hit bigger pursuers, like gunships or larger, but against a fighter, you'll hit issues. Most tail gun weapons carry standard or repeating qualities. Generally speaking, tail gunners are a deterrent and aren't specifically put there to kill pursuing planes, though they can.
They're placed there to force enemy craft to where the pilot can effectively engage the enemy with their main guns or to keep the enemy off long enough to either 1) complete the mission or 2) hold out until dedicated interceptor craft can engage the chasing planes. You can keep the weapon there, not saying it doesn't work at all, I'm just saying you're going to have a tough time targeting pursuing craft smaller that a gunship or so. Composite beams aren't that fast firing or precise.

Also, and I may have missed it somewhere, how durable are these fighters?

you raised a good point, I've changed the composite beam to a duel laser ball turret. I've also changed the word silo to launcher. As far as the durability goes, i'd say that these fighters are no less durable than the average fighter.
