TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Length: 9.2 meters
  • Width: 10 meters
  • Height: 8.7 meters
Armament: High
Squadron Count: Low | 8

STANDARD FEATURES
  • All Standard TIE/D Features
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Interceptor Bomber: The TIE/DL is a multirole starfighter, specifically being an advanced interceptor and a light bomber when needed.
  • Deflector Shields: The TIE/DL like its predecessor has a shield system allowing for it to take damage while dishing it out.
  • High Mobility: The TIE/DL is fast and maneuverable, possibly taking advantage on slower ships within its tier.
WEAKNESSES
  • Fragile Upon Depletion: The TIE/DL like its predecessor, without its shields is, like any other non-shielded TIE model, fragile. Will probably blow up in one to two hits.
  • Draining: The power supply gets drained very quickly when firing the masercannons and ion cannons. Once depleted, it will begin to take power from other systems, ending with the AI unit.
DESCRIPTION
Within his brief time as an engineer for the Empire of the Lost, Karl is trying to make up for lost time and to supplement their naval forces. During his time with the First Order Karl created Tempest Squadron, an elite force of pilots equipped with the FO TIE/D. Since then he has had to make repairs and upgrades to Tempest during his time as a remnant, as such he has become uniquely proficient with the Defender's design and overall specs. So he wanted to make the Empire of the Lost, a slightly upgraded version to introduce into their naval assets with hopefully even more advance projects down the line.

The TIE/DL is almost a one to one copy of the traditional TIE/D with a few upgrades. Firstly, the standard laser cannon armamanet has been swapped with masercannons to supplement laser damage with kinetic damage, allowing for increased damage during dogfights. The second change is the integration of the "Sérhannaðar" Artificial Intelligene unit. This unit is to help the pilot predict and optimize pathways, as well as take over for the pilot if knocked unconsious. Although due to the limits of the AI itself, it cannot hurt others, if a pilot is knoced out it will try to get the ship back to its hanger bay the safest way.

Very cool sub! And yes, the image source field is broken, so you put the link to the perfect place, thank you!
  • The premade fields are not contain the Squadron count, I would like to ask you to add this to the template:
Squadron Count: (Please provide the amount of fighters this submission would have in a squadron. The average squadron for any starfighter is 12, at lengths averaging 12.5 meters. The bigger the fighter, the smaller your Squadron Count should be. The smaller the fighter, the bigger your Squadron count can be. [None: 1 | Very Low: 4 | Low: 8 | Average: 12 | High: 16 | Very High: 20 | Extreme: 24 ] Squadron Sizes may be listed as just the rating.)
  • And I would like to ask you to add a rating to the Armaments.
