The TIE/DT Destroyer, is an Elite Multirole Starfighter developed by SularenCo for the Dark Empire, envisioned as a successor and improvement of the Old Empire's TIE/VX Vanguard as part of an ongoing effort undertaken by the Imperial Military to modernize it's arsenal in order to produce high-quality next-gen equipment that can stand toe-to-toe with their Alliance counterparts. Just like the TIE/VX Vanguard, the TIE/DT Destroyer is highly versatile starfighter capable of serving various roles such as a bomber, an interceptor and a close-air support fighter while also being produced in limited numbers just like it's predecessor.
The TIE/DT Destroyer features several improvements over it's predecessor including a more powerful and deadlier weapons compliment along with stronger and more durable defenses enabling it to deal more damage to enemy targets in battle while also increasing it's survivability rates in addition to featuring an advanced power management system that allows the pilot to divert power to certain functions such as the weapons, defenses and engines of the TIE/DT Destroyer in order to gain the upper-hand in dogfights. Most importantly however, is the inclusion of a Path Engine, a Hyperdrive and a Microjump Capacitor, that allows the TIE/DT Destroyer to carry out solo long-range operations without the need of carriers.
Overall, the TIE/DT Destroyer is a jack of all trades starfighter that will enable the Empire to secure starfighter superiority in the many battles to come, proving to be a worthy successor to the TIE/VX Vanguard and to be a dangerous rival to some of the Galactic Alliance's most deadliest starfighters such as it's notorious K-Wing.
