- High Agility | Thanks to it's high speeds and maneuverability, the TIE Baron is a very agile starfighter making it harder for hostile starfighters to get a proper lock unless they are capable of keeping up with the TIE Baron in battle
- Strong Durability | Thanks to it's Phalkt Metal Hull, the TIE Baron is capable of surviving direct hits from enemy starfighters thanks to the Phalkt Metal's invulnerability to energy weapons. This allows for increased survivability rates for Final Dawn Ace Pilots as they will not have to fear getting shot down if cornered by enemy starfighters
- Advanced Power Management Systems | Like most Starfighters produced by SularenCo, the TIE Baron is equipped with Advanced Power Management Systems allowing it to divert power to certain systems. Because of the unique properties of the TIE Baron's Hull unlike the rest of the Final Dawn's latest TIE Models, the TIE Baron can only shunt it's power to either the Engines or the Weapons.
- State-of-the-art Stealth System | Another advantage provided by the TIE Baron's Phalkt Metal Hull is it's ability to create a visible cloaking effect rendering it invisible to the naked eye. As such, this unique ability combined with a sophisticated advanced stealth system allows the TIE Baron to engage it's cloaking ability at ease, even being able to travel through hyperspace while cloaked.
- Forward-Fixed Weapons Placement | One major disadvantage of the TIE Baron is that all of it's weapons are fixed towards the front of the Starfighter requiring constant re-orientation in dogfights against enemy starfighters which may increase the difficulty of locking onto enemy starfighters.
- Advanced Power Management Systems | Despite the strengths provided by the Advanced Power Management Systems, when power is shunted to one system, the other systems will be weakened as a result meaning that Pilots will have to make use of their Advanced Power Management Systems carefully lest they give their foes an advantage over them,
- Phalkt Metal Hull | While the Phalkt Metal Hull of the TIE Baron comes with it's advantages, it also possess a single major weakness. While it is invulnerable to energy weapons the same cannot be said about kinetic weaponry as a single kinetic projectile would be enough to severely damage or even destroy a TIE Baron
- Very Expensive | The TIE Barons are extremely expensive being extremely costly to produce with the time and material spent on the creation of such state-of-the-art craft being irreplaceable.
After a Jedi-led Raid on a Final Dawn Listening Post which saw the decimation of both a Pocket Star Destroyer and waves of Starfighters sent to confront them as well as the previous success of elite Starfighter Squadrons of the GADF such as Revenant Squadron and the formation of the 303rd Foreign Service Wing, the Final Dawn was quick to begin the development of a new starfighter that could challenge both Jedi Starfighters and the Elite Starfighter Squadrons of the Galactic Alliance. To this end, SularenCo began the development of the TIE/fdB Baron Space Superiority Interceptor or simply the TIE Baron, a successor to the TIE/fd Advanced produced by the Epoch Engineering Corporation in the early days of the Second Great Hyperspace War.
Designed as an interceptor craft that would excel in dogfights against other starfighters, the TIE Baron has been equipped with the latest modern technology possessing advanced sensory systems as well as high-quality targeting and communications systems along with the standard advanced power management systems utilized by most modern Final Dawn starfighters produced by SularenCo. However the greatest strength of the TIE Baron is it's Phalkt Metal Hull which renders the TIE Baron invulnerable to energy weapons thus increasing the survivability rate of Final Dawn Pilots and allowing single TIE Barons to challenge entire enemy squadrons by themselves.
As such, the use of the TIE Baron is only reserved for the Final Dawn's best Pilots, those who have flown in at least 30 combat missions and survived. This would only increase the lethality of the TIE Baron as well make it a starfighter to be feared on the battlefield as those who would encounter a TIE Baron would immediately know that they would be up against some of the best pilots the Final Dawn has to offer, decreasing their own chances of survival in the process.
